+1 IMO The black hole system goes both ways. I'm hearing that a lot of people are getting tired of the bully's (and old farts that can't spell) and the school system turning a blind eye. Whats you son and the teacher going to do the next time the bully and his posse continue with this type of unacceptable behavior. OTOH the bully could be, should be, might be, allso be in the black hole. First, one has to realize that teens, in general, have not yet developed the brain-power that includes empathy. Nor have they yet expanded their awareness of others to the point of escaping the bubble of innate ego-centrism. Some never do "grow up". So, yes. It's all too common. Where my opinion might seem to fail is in the idea that the whole teen language thing appears to be getting worse as time goes on but that is misleading when you consider that, as a kid, I probably thought a lot of the same things as today's youth but I damned sure would not have verbalized it upon penalty a good ass-whuppin' from my father or a good paddlin' from the dean at school. Based on a couple of times in a altitude chamber the symptons you describe sounds like Hypoxia. In the chamber we were required to go off oxygen and do basic drills like counting backwards on a piece of paper under the observation of a buudy, one who can direct you to go back on the gas just in case you don't realize your going to pass out. I don't know how to spell, but I know how to count, I was surprised to see my counting skills get worse in a short period of time. Don't recall the altitude but it was high enough. One Jump Wonder
