  1. Hi JR Nice stack dude I keep my short stack locked in my big fire proof safe with the stuff we're not supposed to talk about outside of SC. Log Books IMO are priceless. R. One Jump Wonder
  2. GOOD MORNING DZ. COM!!!!!!! "Robin Williams" I actually found some news video's of the free lottery number system. The draft board or who it was sure dressed funny back then. Cheap suits ties and women wearing dress's and funny hairdooo's. I'm not sure if the current, paid lottery system $$$ would accept the low stds set for the free system I was expecting numbered ping pong balls, a air machine mixing the balls up in a random manner etc etc. That wasn't the way it was done "almost back in the day". To be continued at a later date. R. FWIW this is not a bump, or a DB cooper groupie travel log from a recent trip to forida. I'm not complaining in any way. I sent the Green Hat a PM and told him what was going on and they allow it to continue. So whats good for the golden goose What time is it? Damn it's time to clock out and go home
  3. I fixed it for you. Sparky Hi Sparky It's been a long time since I looked at my PI log book. Sound like it's been two long, I better start looking at the damn thing before I forget what a log book is or was. Thanks for being gentle sparky.
  4. Hi Ladies and Gents Some of you all (southern talk) Have mass qty's of jumps on rds, How many log books you got. The 100 jump hard cover blue colored pioneer Log books were a PIA. Take that DB cooper!!!! R. One Jump Wonder
  5. I've got a couple jumps on a 28 ft lo-po. The owner swore it gave him softer landings, but to me it landed just like any cheapo. Hi A I had at least 75 jumps on a 7tu rag (as required) and 400 + jumps on PC's . We ONLY weighed 120 lbs. We started with PLF's on the rag but eventually started standups on the rags and PC's were no problem. I could check my log book (#1 ) and come up with a specific first stand up # but whats the point. It Was all good. No way could we penertrate a 12mph wind. (One of these days I'll figure out how to reduce the photo size and post some pic's.) I still hate backing up The winter water jump (frozen pond) landing was Never jumped a Lopo. To expensive. R. 6. QuoteDamn Larry was only 44 when he died R. One Jump Wonder
  7. Hi Jerry I'm wondering didn't pioneer or someone else come out with Lo Po round canopy's, for mainss. I'm not sure about the Dia either. We need a rigger The LO PO mains did have some nice color patterns, I think One Jump Wonder
  8. Hi Guru QuoteIMO 99.932% of the time it's not the jumpers that you have to worry about takeing stuff. I don't think jumpers do car prowls etc. I've left my whole rig outside one night at a DZ. Packin kathy's kids picked it up and kept it in their car till I showed up the next day
  9. Hi Latest noise from DB thread to maintain their first in line position. CCP IMO Mr Quade warned about this type of behavor at the beginning of the thread. Not complaining Quade you the man R. One Jump Wonder

    Reno Air Races

Hi Jerry I knew ralph had been going to the races for a very long time. Mr Farrington was news to me. Losing Mr Farrington would have been a major loss Back to the reason for the loss of life that exceeded One. IMO One is to many but thats the pilot so he knew and accepted the risks. AFAIK One of the critical difference between air shows and races is the distance frsom the flt path to the crowds. I'm not a pilot, and havent been to reno. The Box seats $$$ were in hind sight danger close. Thats part of the draw I guess the noise, speed, maybe feeliing your filling in youur teeth vibratiing as the planes buzz by.
  11. bump +1 Hi Folks I used to think the "bump' was a a cheap shot for those trying to get ahead of th DB Cooper thread. I was incorrect A bump is more than adequate. This is latest DB Cooper post from their #2 position. CCP ----------------------------------------------------------------------- It is what it is and of course it's fine with me, I'm just another cat not the cat hearder
  12. Hi The secrete to the DB Cooper top of the page contest. And maybe the solution CC&P. Where's the cat herder. Not complaining Houston you may have a problem. One Jump Wonder
  13. Hi Rigger 10K tandems, That, thats, thats a lot of tandems
  14. Hi Status report The closest flying starship is Tail No 8285Q Owner starship Holding LLC NC-50 Loction 150 mi east of THIX at Walla walla Local airport where we wintnessed the event THIX Still can not verify that the bird I saw was the starship but we're making some progress. Flightaware.com is a data base but it's a challenge to accesss the historical records, for old folks with limited computer skills. R. One Jump Wonder
  15. Status report: still doing research and gathering objective evidence, Starship or the Piago One Jump Wonder
  16. Hi PC "What we have here is a failure to communicate" Paul Neuman, Cool Hand Luke. Mr Pii's goal seems to be to bury DB cooper thread as deep as possible even though it will only be temporary. We could do a flash mob thing. Knock DB thread to pg ???. I'm happy to keep knocking DB with single hits out of the top slot (also temporary). I Just have to ration my posts so I don't have to work to hard. I've already got a few comments for this thread among others in my pocket but I have to wait for the right DB moment's. Gotta go To bad I don't have a job and can't post/monitor DZ.com on the boss's time and look busy "I'll be back" Arnorld inthe first terminator movie R One Jump Wonder
  17. Hi Pii Damn you all Talk about apples and oranges I'm happy to knock DB from the number one slot and you want to bury it. I'll show you mine if you show me yours (oops wrong thread) Me bad In the spirit of cooperation can we join forces I'll help you all with your goal if I see DB in the #14 slot I'm all in for pushing it to a new record low. Anyone want to set up a secret time and date we should be able to set a new record low of 20-25. Unrealistic expectations, Jumpers can't even agree on which direction to land to keep from hurting themselve's. If I'm passing by and see the subject thread in negative trend I'll jump in. & if you all see the same thread in the #1 slot give it a swat for ..... S&G. R. Tying to swat it down from #1 slot is hard enough for one person. I'm always the last to know One Jump Wonder
  18. Hi Nice lady Status report I'm getting closer to finding paper work on the startship vs piaggio mystery. So there won't be any he said, they said DB cooper BS theory stuff. More updates to follow. As time allows Not sure if trying to keep up with the DB Cooper thread is worth the effort, either they have some serious issues or their playing games. None of my business thats Mr Quades job. I wouldn't want that job, it's like herding cats R. One Jump Wonder
  19. Hi Pat I never had to chance to meet Bill. But after reading about him in parachutist over many years. it was like we almost knew him. To bad I never met Bill I would have liked to get his autograph on my log book.
  20. Bump Hi DB Cooper Your complaining about a thread named after you. I'ts all your fault Knock Knock, go answer your door Mr DB Cooper. Guess who's knocking Your going to have to be more than a simple bump, or a rocket scientist or a hard asss will give you the One Warning. BTW thanks for giving me a legit excuse to respond the IMO is a cheap shot and not worthy of a legend named DB Cooper Of course do whatever floats your boat R. One Jump Wonder
  21. Hi Pat Bill O was paying $2 for pack jobs in the late 60's I forget lots of things these days. Was Bill O a harvard or yale grad? FWIW at our small cub DZ with some income coming in from the ckubs s/l classes we were paying maybe $2.5/jump from 7.5, . Selling blood. Thats hard core. R. Take that DB Cooper One Jump Wonder
  22. ***In Atlanta, early eighties, my girlfriend's gear bag was stolen from her car. A YEAR later a jumper from the area was driving along the interstate and saw what looked like a gear bag in the break-down lane. He pulled over and retrieved it. After finding out from the logbook it belonged to a good friend he returned it totally unharmed. Happy enough ending for me. Hi Jon A very happy ending in spite of a "little" MIA. Hopefully the gear was still current WAG some kid stole it hid it in his room until until his mom got on his butt to clean up the dump or else. Happy ending & very lucky timing.
  23. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!! If she were someone else, perhaps someone I met at a bar (if I were to go to one), maybe so, but no kindness to her! She lies about everything and the only one who can't see it is the company owner, I guess he is pussy whooped! Ya think? Hi JD Score!!!! Great way to start the weeek off. with a LMAO. There are many ways to get even with folks by being "kind". We worked with a junk yard dog (bitch) that was trying to lose weight (slim fast for lunch). So we would lurk dounkin donutes ads for the 2/1 doz special. The bitch couldn't resist donuts , 2-3 donuts and slim fast for lunch That was to slow so we added mass qty's of M&M's. Big bags 75% off after the holidays. Had a big ass cookie jar in the form of a pig when someone would lift the lid the pig would go Oink oink. Everyone caught on to what I was doing except for the slim fast diet bitch. I had mystery donars leaving big ass bags of Holiday M&Ms on my desk. My bottom drawer was full of that crap. All day Oink Oink Oink, week after week, The slim fast liquid diet never worked for the bitch she was actually gaining weight. Meeting women at bars Think Tiger Woods. IMO Your boss is definately doing her, he just doesn't know it yet he's getting screwed more ways than one.
  24. Hi Mr Bill and groupies PA PA, stop picking on me whine whine whine I'll report your sorry ass to a green hat PM to follow Don't like it do your thing! R.I.P. One Jump Wonder
