I guess its been about 1 month now maybe more but its still pissing me off. It was busy day at the DZ lots of locals doing big ways and other various people milling about. 9finger charlie came down off of one of our big ways, set down his gear, including his brand new bonehead optic. 15 minutes later we go to get gear together and his optic is gone, stolen along with his protrac. Ya know, this guy, like the rest of us, struggles to make ends meet, hes got a wife and a kid hes trying to support, and I know he had to save a while to put that gear together, what amost 500 bucks. It pisses me off that someone would take his stuff, not only did they steal his gear but they stopped him from doing something he enjoys, he bought the helmet because he was starting to shoot video. It really bothers me to see someone upset because someone else couldn't keep their dick-beaters off something that wasn't theirs. To the asshat that stole the bonehead optic and protrac at skydive deland just over a month ago, I hope you choke yourself, your mother should have swallowed you. thanks for allowing me to vent

did you "just" loose the lens, or did it damage the camera, either way, it sucks!!

What different size wide angle lenses do you use for shooting different size formations? Lets say for example you are shooting outside video and stills on a 4 way 8 way 16 way and a 32 or bigger way. Just wondering and trying to get some ideas.

personal opinion only, I would go with AFF I just think its a better method of training. Regardless of what method you choose,,, have fun and get 'er done!

Ive seen that happen a few times to the line used on the packing tools. Im not sure if there is a fix to it other than replacing the line.

How old is the rig you are jumping? What is the condition of the leg padding? If there old and worn, you may want to think about having them replaced, Also, make sure there long enough, when I got my rig they were too short leaving alot of exposed webbing against my leg. That was a bit painful

I believe the rule of hand is once, each time you resew webbing you increase the degradation factor of that webbing making it subject to failure.

Because by placing him in handcuffs the police took away his freedom and in effect "arrested" him, they had no probable cause to affect anything more than a consential encounter or at best a "terry stop" see (Terry v. Ohio, 392 U.S. 1 1968) . His civil rights were violated, and for that, he has the right to sue. Far too many people have their rights violated by over aggressive law enforcement because they are not aware of their rights. Personally, I feel the officers in this situation were overly aggressive and were out of line. Its not unreasonable to be walking through the woods carrying a knife. my .02

a full face helmet would greatly reduce or eliminate this issue, check with your gear store, and see if theyll let you demo one for a jump some DZ's will do that
