  1. for anyone local and intrested there is a memorial service for Catherine tonight at the funeral home feel free to PM me for details.
  2. Catherine was a good person, I did take the time to get to know her. She had a kind heart and a friendly personality. She like others, had her demons which haunted her. Life was not very fair to Catherine and for own reasons She gave up fighting to overcome the pain which burdened her. Her presence will be missed. Catherine, may the blessing of the lord be upon you my friend, until we meet again. Im sorry, you will be missed.

  6. na when I look at the picture I took its perfect but it all choppy after I photo ran it through photo shop to make it small enough to upload
  7. Cunuck I know alot of people who use the infinity setting, I think it has its place. but for shooting something like a tandem or something thats fairly still, I use the autofocus. I also use a Shutter priority setting usually of 1000. If the weather gets crappy or towards sun set Ill bump it down to 500 and sometimes even 400. Ive always had good luck with those settings.
  8. the picture looks really crappy though, how can I fix it?
  9. Im trying to teach myself how to add attachments to my threads...
  10. I agree with VD, I've been shooting with a fixed 28mm lens on my 35mm rebel with great results. There good lenses and you can sometimes pick them up used at a camera store fairly cheap. I think the 28mm lens with the .05 or .42 lens will be fine.
  11. yea I agree it sounds as if you are using the camera in the Auto focus mode that will make the camera look for something to focus on. Set the camera for manual focus then focus it to infinity (on my pc100 the mountain symbol shows un in the screen) then tape the focus ring in place and you should be good. If your using a wide angle lens do all this with the wide angle lens on
  12. He wants to do what? A tandem? 100% possible. Pine Pinar at skydive Deland took a guy who was a quadriplegic not too long ago. Both TM and Passenger did GREAT. The passengers father who is a skydiver went on the load with them and I shot a video for him. Your in South FL? Its not too long of a drive up here. Give Pine a call I'm sure if it can be done he'll take care of it!
  13. Its all a matter of personal preference and what your shooting, I've got both a 35mm and a digital still, I use them both. It all depends on what your shooting and who you are shooting it for. As for which is the best digital, the answer will vary; again its a matter of personal preference many people use Cannon many use Nikon some use Kodak.

  16. All I can say is WOW! this boogie was great everybody was super cool, Wendy and the crew did a super job organizining and keeping loads flying THANKS to the packers who ALWAYS had my rig ready so I could get back in the air. I had a blast! Seeing the photo I shot on in the Miami Herold was cool too. I'll be back next year
  17. Hey I took that picture! very cool. It appeared in the Friday printing of the Miami harold. very cool
  18. I dont know if your profile is current, but you have to have at least a C license in order to jump at the boogie.
  19. sounds strange, did you read the manual to find out exactly what that error code meant???
  20. Terry, although your MD has stated its okay for you to jump, I would get a second opinion. You say you have COPD are you on O2, I think almost every COPD patient I have seen is on constant or nearly constant O2 @ 2 liters via nasal cannula. With the conditions you listed your respiratory system is at the very least compromised. I do not think the added physical activity of skydiving is in your best intrest. I would highly recommend consulting another MD prior to gearing up and discussing your situation.
