  1. I was asked by a DZ not to shoot digital still but to shoot 35mm instead. There issue with it is this, they want all their video people doing the same thing. They didn't want one customer being handed a roll of film and another being able to get digitals. Mostly to keep a level playing field for all the video guys I assume. I suppose it prevents a customer from choosing a guy who can shoot digital over the majority that don't.
  2. If the DZ you are going to requires you to be a USPA member, you can purchase a temporary memebership for a small fee, you can do that at the drop zone here in the states.
  3. anything by Sony is a good idea, I personally have the pc100 that I really like but they are all good camera, just make sure you stick with sony
  4. Gotta agree with Stumpy, fill in your profile so people know a little more about you. As far as a helmet, what kind of camera flying are you wanting to do, are you eventually going to add a flash and a still? Are you wanting to do it more on the professional end or do you just want to be able to strap a camera to you pumpkin to play with?

  6. that sucks, you may want to consider the school option, anything above 15 mph over the limit is considered "high speed" in the insurance industry, even though its your first, they will jack your rates..... Let me Guess FHP right.

  17. having pictures you shot turn up in a magazine or ad with out your knowledege and nver getting paid for your work Having someone who was on a jump ask you for a copy of the photos or video without offering to compensate you for it. ( it never ceases to amaze me why will someone assume they should be entitled to a compy of your video for free because you are "friends",,, there friends with their packer too but they damn sure pay their packer at the end of the day. You'll know when your actually becomming a good camera flyer,,, People will start talking about how bad your work sucks, well maybe that only happens in Deland, Jealous fucks. Having your bite switch take a crap in the middle of the jump
  18. Im just asking, Do you think you can stand up the landing on that 120 triath on a no wind day in the back yard between the fence and the swiming pool without hitting the power line on your way over the street after the stress of realizing you screwed yourself by opening too low or not paying attention to the spot? Im just asking. Off landings can be a bitch, they can be a bigger bitch if your under a canopy that you don't have the ability to fly. I don't know you or your skills but when I talked to Scott Miller about what canopy was right for me, he asked me the aforementioned question. I let it be my guide.
