Mike, although I agree with your post that there is certain business which the uspa may conduct that the general membership is not or should not be party to, do you not think that the board has some responsibilty to at least notify the body as to why they are not welcome to attend the proceedings? If they are conducting a meeting regarding internal affairs its one thing, but if they are conducting a meeting and making decisions which affect the membership body, those proceedings should be public

I don't think its a USPA issue either, while I agree Skyride has bad business practices. Individual members are not being DIRECTLY affected by there actions, IF DZO's are unhappy with the actions of skyride, as they should be, they, should file a class action lawsuit or contact the BBB or possibly contact the FTC to see if they can do anything. I think membership dues can be far better spent on members. Thats just my opinion

What works for many people is this. say I am selling a rig and you are intrested, You and I will agree on a Rigger or a DZ that the rig will be sent to for inspection, after I contact the rigger or DZ to be sure that they will act as the third party, I ship the rig to said third party the rig is inspected at your expense if there is any, if you decide to buy the rig you send me the money, after I recieve the money, I contact the third party and advise them to release the rig to you. If you decide not to buy the rig it is shipped back to me *I* would request that you paid the return shipping id you elected not to buy the rig, but thats something that you would have to work out.

If its the extendend waranty from Ritz camera, GET IT. I can't recommend it enough. Shortly after I got my digital rebel the power supply went out, it was a 400.00 repair. it was free because of the extended warranty. Lets face it, our gear has many chances to get destroyed, I like the idea of bagging up the pieces and getting a new camera. My .02
