  1. Im just asking, Do you think you can land that 126 reserve on a no wind day in the back yard between the fence and the swiming pool without hitting the power line on your way over the street after the stress of a really shitty high speed malfunction? Would you at your EXIT weight normally fly a 126ish main? Just wondering
  2. theres a bunch of good stuff going on around the time youll be in town. Theres a boogie in Sebastian the 21 through the 23. and theres a boogie albeit CRW in Lake Wales the 19 through the 23. Delands got teams trainning so they should be cranking too.
  3. now thats damn funny I dont care who you are thats just funny!
  4. He bought the canopy without taking it to a rigger or test jumping it before agreeing to compensate you the asking price, thats not your fault. You, in good faith sold a canopy simply because you were not happy with it. I would say you should not feel bad. From whom is he getting his information that there is a probelm with the canopy, ie. its "defective" has he considered sending it back to the manufacture for inspection? Either way, if you sold the canopy in good faith it should rest easy on your mind. One other question comes to mind, why did he wait 5 months before contacting you regarding the canopy? If he was unhappy after he jumped it, he should have contacted you THEN, so that you could have worked out the issues by sending it out for inspection not waited 5 months. You have to do what you think is right, but I think you already did.
  5. how about an accuracy competition? Might be a little tricky on the beach but what the hell
  6. You've got to be kidding right....... Not that I wouldn't love to see this, BUT there is no doubt that some knucklehead is going to see this and say hell, I can do that, right before he creates a divot into the parking lot or the beach sand. But I guess if your going GO BIG right..... I'll shoot the photos....from the ground!
  7. I've had a similar converstion with Norman Kent.
  8. book as much time as you feel you can physically do, 10 or 15 minutes is a good start. I know people who have spent an hour there on their first trip. You can split it up over a couple of days if your plans will allow. Either way have fun.

  12. Im a little drunk right now, and if the greenies think its necessary please fell free to delete this post, just dont ban me. But I have a request,,, Please use your head when skydiving. I am an EMT and a nursing student. I work in a trauma center in FL. near deland. Last night, a young man who was involved in an incident was one of my patients. I am not going to discuss his condition. As I sat this morning consuming alcohol to dilute the images of his broken body running through my mind. I have to ask one thing, No matter who you are, no matter wheather we are friends or not, PLEASE be careful and use your damn head. This is not the first or the second or even the third skydiver I have cared for as a patient. For the sake of your family, your friends and even strangers you do not know, please be careful. Jan, we, the nurses, surgeons, emt's, paramedics, flight crews, your family and friends are pulling for you, the rest is between you and your God. May the blessing of the lord be upon you.

  19. Most DZ's will go out of their way to help you, as previously stated the status of your USPA membership is easily checked online by DZ's. Not having your log book presents a bit of a problem the DZ's should call your home DZ to confirm the fact that you are off student status good luck.

  22. Although 2004 was a year full of changes for me it was a good year. I think the things I will remember the most about this year is: 1. going to boogies and making new friends 2. Being published in the 2005 USPA calander as well as 3 other publications 3. getting accepted into nursing school 4. Going to Japan to shoot video for Norman Kent, The honor of working for Norman made me realize, the hard work has finally paid off, I really am a camera flyer and I can hold my own. even if nobody else is impressed, I am damn proud of myself.
