my wife has always been in pretty good shape (aerobics, good diet etc.) but she decided she wanted to compete as a bodybuilder, without going overboard. dunno about the rest of the world, but canada has a bodybuilding category for women called 'figure' that combines lean muscle with feminine curves for women who want to work out but not look like men. anywho, she did it, at the age of 47 and held her own against 5 other women. the closest to her age was 29, the rest were younger than one of her sons. i am damn proud of her and just had to share!

if we're talking live theatre, i have to go with 'tommy'. first broadway type show (saw it at the winter garden theatre in toronto) i ever saw and it was amazing. saw phantom in toronto as well, wasn't impressed. for musical type shows, stomp in new york was great, very entertaining. also have to go with the blue man group. seen them 11 or 12 times now, every north american venue plus both tours they've done ('the complex' and 'how to be a rock star 2.0). i preferred the first tour to the second as it is mostly the same, with some stuff taken out. their vegas show is very cool.
