hmmmm, a couple of stories about parents, anyone else have problems with a spouse? my wife had been skydiving with her ex several years ago. she mentioned it one day and i said i had always wanted to go and we decided we would go out for a day. when the day arrived, she decided she didn't want to go, but she would drop me off at the dz (it's only 10 minutes from home) and come back later to get me. the instructor remembered her and talked her into staying for the class, and then a jump. well, short story, i had a flailing exit, forgot to count, had line twist, landed on my ass, couldn't tell you what color canopy i had over me, but was hooked. she had a nice exit, tippy-toe landing and never wanted to go back. now when i go to the dz i have to jump and head home as quick as i can or i get crapped on, usually do anyway actually. she tells everyone that she is sorry she took me out there in the first place, figured i'd take a jump and have it out of my system. i only have 8 jumps in, but plan on doing pff and getting licensed next season. so far all of our jumps have been iad, but i talked her into doing the level one jump with me so that she could at least try free-falling, i hope that will change her mind and get her into it as well. anyone else with a similar experience? how did you and your significant other deal with it?
