ipods will play pretty much anything (mp3, mp4, aac) except wma. itunes will offer to convert any wma's to mp4's when you import them. that said, i find itunes kinda clunky, but it works. i have a 4gb nano, so i don't have to change out my music much. similar story, happier ending. i went up to do a hop'n'pop after we threw some students out at 3500. first student gets dispatched, i stick my head out to wath the deployment, and my helmet leaves. forgot to buck the chin strap after i took it off at 1500 feet, then decided i might as well wear it since there was no place to put it down. after i landed and packed, i went searching around in the area of the spot, but no luck. went back and looked at our aerial photo with the dzo and he suggested that i look a little further than i had gone, and on the other side of the runway. off i go, and there, glinting in the sun, is my helmet. abotu 20 feet off the runway in the short grass. not a scratch on it. of course, it was only a protec i had just bought for my bike and was trying out for jumping. didn't even have my ditter installed in it. had it been a $400 camera helmet with a new video camera attached it would have shattered, been stuck in a tree and eaten by bears.
