general question to macbook users: the main difference between the macbook and macbook pro (other than screen size) seems to be that the pro has discreet video memory and the macbook uses a chunk of system memory. the latter usually results in piss poor video pereformance on a windoze system, how does a mac deal with it? like i mentioned, it's probably the way i put it together. my rig is all apart for it's winter cleaning and hibernation, so when i put it back together i'll have the manual handy. i did have it in it's little channel thing, but i never seemed to get the slack right and when i was under canopy, the normal riser movement would pull out soem of the rsl. i'll get it figured. the only gripe i have with mine is that the rsl seems to pull out of it's hiding place on most jumps. probably something i'm doing though. there's no risk of it deploying the reserve or anything, just the nuisance of having to stow it after almost every jump. same thing with us. we're a cessna dz and we get bumped by pff students (if they're on their first or second level with video, they take the whole plane!), first jump courses and tandems. it sucks sometimes, but we were the students at one time too and probably didnt' realize we were bumping people at the time. it's part of the sport, and it gives you time to hang out with other jumpers. everyone's in the same boat. very cool show. i'm guessing that it's the 'how to be a rockstar 2.0' tour you're seeing and not the normal stage show. it's very entertaining, but if you saw the last tour ('the complex'), you may be a little disappointed. it's basically the same show, scaled back a bit. still, it's well worth the money.
