Just in case there is any misunderstanding on Rich's post, "All of a sudden we have all kinds of spectators and new obstacles" There were no obstacles, or spectators in the swoop path. Not getting at you Rich, just trying to avoid any confusion or needless debate. My prayers, and vibes are with yours for Chris and his loved ones in this difficult time......He is an incredibly strong guy, and he should pull through, but it will probably be a long road to travel. Peace... Cya D

Agreed on two instructors correcting each other in front of students, or anyone else for that matter........Its not only rude, but dangerous as discussed above, bad form guys..... On the subject of students asking q's of 'experienced' jumpers, I try and avoid the question by immediately answering "you should check with your instructor". In this age of litigation I do not want a student biffing and blaming me. Selfish, of course it is, but I don't keep up with accepted student procedures and practices, and as these vary from DZ to DZ, I really don't want to be misguiding anybody. Cya D

You got it Snowy my man, almost 1000 jumps (prep those pies folks), and I go though the same routine everytime I put my rig on. It also means if your handles are tucked in (it happens..), or the hackey is buried (saw this on a world record and it resulted in a cutaway) you will pick it up on the ground first

All the suits I've ever owned were made by Symbiosis, RW, Freefly, and camera, absolutely no complaints whatsoever, either on build quilty or service. Chappy (original lizard) does make nice looking suits, but have never tried one. A few friends have had Aircare and they fell apart, but that was a long time ago, TSE are pretty good on everything else, so the suits have probably improved a lot..... Cya D

Fonz, sorry about spelling Martijn's name wrong, I was travelling that line every fortnight a lot last summer (Between Amsterdam and Bad Bentheim--first stop over the German border--yuk--not far from Hengelo--nice), and I'm pretty sure Teuge (Deventer?) was about an hour out of the Dam......That was on an IC train...Okay, mebbe a little longer. The point I was trying to make was that you can have fun jumping in Holland, and its quite easy to get around, one point I didn't make was that the folks at Teuge are real friendly.. BTW as far as I'm concerned Holland (or more politely, the Netherlands) rocks.

"I see you on Levins film all the time but not on my films????" We just gotta jump together sometime little sister , every time we are both there, we are out of manifest synch, lets put that to rights soon! "you could have landed over by the church with me " Is this a veiled offer of marriage Ann? how am I gonna break this news to my G/F..... >>Nacmac fidgets nervously, fear of commitment / loss of bachelor status rising to the fore

"Besides have you seen Pools helmet" Mykel? I think its a halfrack..... Cya D

"I am pretty sure bruises on the arms and inside legs is normal with student gear" In my experience, a lot of the bruising stuff is not necessarily down to hard openings on their own, but I suspect poorly fitting rigs are the root cause here. If your harness fits correctly, and doesn't slide down you shoulders, the legstrap comfort pads meet or overlap, then a lot opf this pain can be avoided. It doesn't stop you getting fwacked tho......and you will still get teh occasional bruise even on custom fitted gear. Cya D
