  1. Skygeek, and Rking, are Sam and Rich from Lexington, they were at the FF seminar as well. I didn't know Sam was on the forum till we were chatting at the fire, I should have mentioned it to you on sunday, but I guess it slipped my mind, I was kinda elsewhere. Cya D
  2. I see ya Sam, and I remembered you were competing, see my second post. It was good to see you and your dad again. Us Cessna DZ dudes gotta look out for each other.
  3. Rich, you only really need 1 PT and another audible (at least one, preferably 2), so a Dytter, or Timeout etc could be used . There are some rules posted somewhere from Lapalisse, with loads of safety advice, I'll try and find it. Craig Poxon has done a fair bit of official speed racing, it would be good to se his take on this before we start relative newbies out on this discipline.......I dont wanna see people hurt on this either. And BTW I reckon my fellow countryman Craig will dish out whoopass if he puts his mind to it. Cya D
  4. "I don't have the JumpTrack software " I have, and the interface cable, and we could prolly load it on a PC at the DZ, or run it on my laptop......If you wanna download your PT onto my laptop sometime, give me a shout. Did I send you two PMs today? I've only got one on my system here..... Cya D
  5. Actually, Clays post got me thinking, here is a comp we can all play, mebbe start a wee league of our own right here. We all at least know somebody with a PT and a Data i/face, we could just post our data from that as evidence (screen capture the spedd/alt profile). No prizes, just braggin' rights. BTW Clay, I thought I had this cinched as the jump I did with the Slappie kid gave me 221 sitting in a verrrrrrry baggy ff suit. Guess I must have hit some thin air on that one >>>Ooooh and Skgeek was in the speed comp too Cya D
  6. 202, tried to go fast head down but man, I flailed plain and simple, skill is definitely involved here. I knew at the time I'd be posting a slow speed. Should have gone with the stand as planned. I was interested to note that when I've done speed before, the speed was measured over a mile with the gate starting at 11k, no strong feelings on it tho......Trent did a good job running all this, and still making the most of the weekend at the same time. There was some rumour as to whether there was a slow Protrack involved, but my head mount gave me 198 so I guess it was just pack shed talk. As for weight out the door.......I jump a spectre 170 at 1.6, I'm not gonna post my vital stats on the web, but you can do the math if it really matters. I'm not fat, I'm just trapped in the wrong body!! My gear is also verrrrry heavy And besides, I got a Pro Track and a gong out of the weekend, I'm 'Chuffed as Phuq' as we say back home... Cya D
  7. Besides, you'd look darn silly jumping out with a RING on your back...
  8. Packing weights apparently, just another phucqed up media report. Cya D
  9. To answer Paula's original q..... One.....I don't need to hurt myself again, and I don't like getting scared. But that's just me. If you are getting the max possible from a canopy, then a reasonable downsize will not scare you. Stay out of that race little sister, there are no winners......I like you too much to bear the thought of pushing you around in a wheelchair. Cya D
  10. Ahhh...Rotorua, the smelliest town in the world.....Cool place though. Lota of whuffo mythology (mithunderthtanding perhapth) in these reports. My favourites:- weights plummeted 762m.....thats quite a precise number! bags filled with lead, are used as ballast to keep a falling skydiver stable. "Had these bags directly hit somebody, then the outcome of this outcome may have been more tragic," No kidding! He said he did not see the weights because they "blended in" and he usually used larger ones made from 4-litre oil cans......wtf?? I won't be using those weights again. hmmmmm they were probably falling at terminal velocity....also..... It would put a great big dent in almost anything it hit.. ...Ya gotta hand it to physicists Cya D
  11. Okay, sorry for the confusion, I'm not from round here...
  12. Bwaaahaaaahaaahaaaa BTW, the history on the rig (cos Richards' comment is valid)....Its all brand spanking new, main bout 100j, res never used, So there ya go..... Cya D
  13. Dude, you can borrow my rig anytime. You didn't get it dirty!!! I guess there aren't that many people around that can actually give you and I a good fitting loaner, us big lads ought to stick together for shit like that
  14. No, No, No, Contact Max Cohn for a kick ass .3, I got mine at the weekend and love it! Give the sale to a skydiver!!!! max@generationfreefly.com He's at spcealnd right now, and can be reached there till about tuesday I guess, then he's returning to NY. Cya D
  15. Seeing as its nice and sunny, I think I'll bunk off work and head off down to the Spaceland FF to get some wheechs in with Max before the masses descend on the place, and then make a start on the 2, yes 2!!!!, free kegs that are being laid on for the party . I'll be there within the hour, think of me as you sweat and grind the afternoon away. Don't bother replying to this post cos I won't be here, I'll be on the shuttle. Just thought I'd share this with you. Nyah, nyah, nyah Have a good weekend folks, lets stay safe out there. Cya D
  16. Done that, everybody else was disgusted when they saw the flick, I thought it was kinda funny. Easiest on the wee side mounted cams. Cya D

  20. It don't matter if there are any low life scumbag stalker freak crew dawgies there, cos we'll protect ya! [FBI bodyguard smiley] Bugs tho, ewwweeee I hate bugs and their beady eyes, hairy legs, big teeth, indestructible ...wait a minute!.....Yer on yer own gal! Cya D
  21. There's a big black beaver at Headcorn, I do like to jump a big black beaver from time to time............... Cya D
  22. "Not just Canada...Arizona does not honor daylight savings time either. Gets pretty confusing, I imagine. And as for being off with the rest of the 'world,' I am pretty sure only the US uses daylight savings." Ferret, once again I find myself having to correct US citizens, the UK put their clocks back last weekend, so you guys are a little bit behind the times............again!!!! Heres the real bummer, I was in Scotland last weekend and lost an hour of partying time, now here I am, back in the US, still jet lagged and I have to go through this nonsense again. Bah, more lost beers. Cya D
  23. Que sera sera Ramon, fancy sneaking down there this afternoon... Cya D
