I can completely understand. I made my first couple Jumps in 1992 right before my Daughter was born. After she was born, I quit and didn’t jump again until several years later and that was just a tandem for my 30th B-Day. I felt guilty about that and didn’t jump again for a couple more years after that. I talked about skydiving with my daughter allot before I finally made the decision to keep going. My Daughter is 12 now and understands that Skydiving is what makes me happy and is supportive but I still feel selfish sometimes. I do take her with me to the DZ occasionally, But I do not jump while she is there (For several reasons, 1. I don’t want to leave her alone as the DZ is not really a child Friendly place and 2. If I did have an accident, I wouldn’t want her to see it.) You have a very personal decision to make, Just make sure that you include your daughter in your decision making process.

Absolute RULE #1: Do not let them start out discussing MONTHLY PAYMENTS with you!! The first question a salesman will ask is "What do you want your monthly payments to be?" This is just a ploy to get you to pay sticker price (or close to it) for the car and then finance it for a longer period of time to get your payments where you want them. Your monthly payments are between you and your Bank or whoever you choose to finance the car with and has absolutely nothing to do with the dealer that you are buying the car from. Goto http://www.edmunds.com and find the TMV (True Market Value) for the car you want. When you go in to discuss buying the car, Tell them this is what you are willing to Plus TAX, Tag and Title and not a penny more. Give then your phone number and tell them to call you if they are willing to accept it. Do not hang around while they play the “I will have to go ask the sales Manager Game.”. Give them your number and leave. After they accept your offer (and they will) Do not pay any other Junk Fees such as Prep Fees, Document Fees, Advertising Fees (I cant believe that New Car dealers now try to pass on their Advertising costs as a Line item on the sales order but most do now) or any other fees. If they are preprinted on the sales order, Cross them out. Financing: If you have a Credit Union, you will generally get the best terms from them. Factory Financing is a good deal too if you have excellent Credit. Do not Finance a car for more than 5 Years for any reason. TMV Plus tax and any Tag and Title Fees if they are relevant in your state. Nothing more.

First you have to Define "Strong Women". If you mean Demanding, Manipulative, Stubborn, Self Centered and Self Righteous.. Then Yes, I am scared of any PERSON who fits that description (Male or Female) and will distance myself from them fast as possible soon as I realize how "Strong" they are. However if you mean Independent, Confident and self-assured then that is exactly the type of Woman I would prefer to be around.

I had the exact same thing happen on my first jump after graduating AFF. I deployed and as I am doing my Canopy/Control Check, I notice a Pilot Chute and Bag Floating away. I started looking around to see who had the Cutaway. After I landed I discovered that it was My Pilot Chute and Bag that was gone. The attachment point on the Main had failed and the canopy was retired (it was an old PD 230 F111 Student main).

What do you get when you take Cheap Jumps, a handful of Rodriguez Brothers, A group of Jumpers from Tallahassee, an assortment of other Atlanta Area Jumpers, The regulars at The Farm, Mix in one ChaosKitty and add a couple hundred Jello Shots??? A Great Weekend, That is what you get. O.C. #1

My Favorite part was just being there. Next Year I will definitely stay longer. Some highlights for me: 1. Getting some fantastic coaching at Tent 3. 2. Learning to lauch a smooth 4 way that didn’t funnel for once (Hey, that was a first/beer for me!!) 3. Running into some DZ,comers that I had met before (Mouth, Kele, Skymonkeyone and several others) and meeting some that I hadn’t met yet (RevJim, Moodyskydiver, Zeemax, Skybytch, Viking, and atleast a dozen more that I have forgotten in my drunken haze) 4. Closing down the Jello shots bar every night I was there. Viking and the Jello Shot Girls were a definite highlight for this trip. 5. Having to talk P`nut out of the Swoop pond less than 15 minutes before his wedding. Yes Nut, I know the water is nice but you are supposed to be somewhere in a few minutes. Yes, you really have too. No we can’t wait a few more minutes. No, I dont think it is a good Idea if we go manifest for a load right now, you are supposed to be somewhere in 10 minutes, Now get your ass out of the Pond. Some not so pleasant memories: 1. The swooper who hit my parked golf cart (while I was sitting in it). It is a miracle he got away with only stitches. I though it was going to be MUCH worse when he hit. I did eventually manage to get most of the remaining meat and blood washed off the cart before I turned it back in. I hope he heals fast. 2. My credit card bill that just came in the mail. I would post some Pictures; I have been threatened with a death and dismemberment if any of my Pics show up on here. Oh Well, There went my Idea for a "Name that Rack" thread. OC #1

Raise Hell with the Dealer. They will cover it under Factory Warranty. Go to the dealership where you bought it. If they do not fix it for free then go above the Service Manager and Complain to the General Manager. If he will not help you, walk into the show room and start screaming if needed. They will fix it free. I worked for several dealerships in the past as a mechanic and we would have situations like this all the time. The service writer would first tell the customer they were S.O.L. but if the customer complained at all, then they were to Fix it under warranty if less than 1000 miles out of warranty. The General Manager can approve Warranty Repairs up to 40,0000 miles if they want to and GM will repay them. If the dealer will not help you, then make sure to file a complaint with General Motors.

You are correct, there is always someone who feels they need to belittle and mock others to somehow feel better about themselves. I guess it makes them real COOL. Sorry guys, No more pics will be posted but my friend did say she would consider doing a tandem in the #3 outfit or something similar at the next $110 Boogie at Skydive the Farm on August 14.

I do that a lot for basically the same reason. I reply to a Post, Preview it and quickly realize that my response just wasn’t as witty as I thought it was or just didn’t come across like I thought it would.

Just get a Stopwatch and start timing them.... and then loudly announce the Time soon as the activity ceases!! Critique each Tents performance and offer tips. Make a game out it and Give out ribbons the next morning. I bet after that you will not have so many tents near yours in the future.

After reviewing the second Picture, I have concluded that a closer personal inspection is needed to form a conclusive opinion. As to the first picture, It is obviously a Right Boobie.

Are you disputing my Claim? If so please back it up with evidence. I Challenge any woman to show me a pair of Boobies where the Right one has any advantage at all over the vastly superior Left one. While Photographic evidence is nice and all, I will only truly be convinced by a personal examination of said Boobies!! If any woman here feels they have proof otherwise, Please seek me out at the WFFC and present your evidence!! I promise a complete, thorough and unbiased examination. Otherwise I stand 100% behind my statement that the LEFT Boobie is the superior Boobie!!
