A little update on the HUGE Poker Tournament planned for Saturday Night at the SUPER MO FO Boogie.. BIG NEWS!! I just got some really cool Trophies that will be also awarded to top 3 finishers. For those who want to learn, I will do a couple of short poker classes through out the day. One for first timers who want to learn how to play and the basics of the game and then later an Intermediate class covering theory and basic strategy. Tournament will be limited to the first 28 People to hand me their entry fees. I will start taking sign ups early. We can hopefully get the tournament started at 8:00pm to give everyone time to eat after the sunset load. If there is enough interest, we will also do a Calcutta at 7:30pm. A Calcutta is a great way for people who are not playing to also get involved in the game. The way it works is we randomly group players in teams of 3 or4 and auction them off. If someone from a team you buy wins the tournament, you get all the money from all the bids. This is open to everyone to bid on their favorite player. Ohh, And I will have TONS of Jello shots for everyone too.

Lets See.. Cheap Jumps, Great Air Craft, Beautiful Scenery (In more ways than one), Relaxed Atmosphere, Free Coaching, Two nice swoop ponds, and Huge New Hangar. The Farm has a lot going for it. The Farm is a little different than your average DZ because it is not on an Airport. It is on a secluded 55 acre Private Farm. Very Relaxed and peaceful. On most weekends they jump the Porter, Caravan and/or Otter using the Grass Runway on the property, However if it is real busy and the loads will be full, They have a nice air conditioned shuttle bus that takes Jumpers from the onsite hanger to the Plane at the airport just 3 miles away. The Landing Area at the Farm is HUGE, Level and easy to spot from the air and there are outs everywhere. Their Rental Gear is very new (Like everything at the Farm) and they have a good selection available for new Students. There are many coaches and highly experienced jumpers that will be glad to jump with you. Every Load gets 14000ft or better for $15 a jump ticket. Their Monthly $110 Boogies are another great deal. $110 get you all you can jump and a Huge Party on Saturday Night. They have a nice mix of Belly Flyers, Freefly Freaks, CRW Dogs and Pro Swoopers on a regular basis. No matter what your discipline is you will have someone to jump with and learn from. They are working on completing the Bunk house, Permanent Restrooms and Showers. It is a great place! Come out and plan on spending the weekend.

In the Events Forum (Where I believe there is still allot of confusion over what qualifies as an Event) I would like to suggest an option for a Sponsored Thread. The Idea is that someone posting an Event could pay an "Advertising Fee" so that the Thread would not get deleted. I know that there are many advertising options available on this site, but an open discussion about the event helps both everyone thinking about going to the event get their questions answered and helps the Organizers of the event get an idea of how many are planning on attending and what to plan for. IT also help jumpers find out where their friends will be that weekend. Perhaps even a Separate Forum for Sponsored Threads would be appropriate so the DZO`s and Gear Dealers/Manufacturers could all have the option of notifying the general Skydiving Community of Specials and these specials could be discussed. This would also help to generate additional Revenues for this site.

Or even better, Bring a warm Body to stuff inside your sleeping bag to keep it warm for you. If you do not currently have access to a warm body to keep you warm at night, Chiquita and I will have plenty of Jell-O shots on hand to help facilitate your selection process.

I had the same experience on my Pilot 188. When my Rigger first set up the canopy, There was a mark on the brake lines that seemed to indicate where the Toggles should be attached. I did a couple jumps and then we shortened the Brake lines 3 inches, Did a few Jumps and then shorthened them another 2 inches. All Perfect now. I was told by my DZO if you lightly loading a canopy that opens slowly, it will take a little longer for the end cells to inflate. Again I have the same thing happening with my 188 but it has never been a problem at all. Enjoy that canopy. I love mine.

I have seen a couple of Jumpers that have a mount on their ring covers that they attach their Neptunes to. Who makes these and where can I buy one?

Spence, What is the deal on Camping? Will we be able to Camp at the Airport like we did Dublin? Are there Showers there? How far is that Hotel you suggested from the Airport?

I have no problems with you choice to indulge in whatever recreational mood altering substances you choose as long as you are not Jumping while under the influence, But do not fool yourself into thinking any substance that alters your mood and effects your reflexes is not a Drug. We all choose where to draw our personal lines.

Hey, This thread is about the Mountain Boogie. I will have the same set up I had this past weekend at the Mountain Boogie. If we can get up a game up, We will. We will have a bigger Multi table Tourney at some point in the very near future (Yes, Next weekend at the Farm).

Yea, we all want accessible Showers at the Farm, But Robbie has just offered to "Take one for the Team" to a whole new level!!
