All of these yrs posting here have finally done me in - get distracted way to easily. I am hoping the thread can get focused on finding new subjects or finding new evidence regarding old subjects. Someone KNEW who Cooper was and if he died on Nov. 24, 1971....where is the evidence of that. NOTHING but a few 20's have ever surfaced and in a place a major suspect visited and during the time allotments given by the evidence (the found money). Someone is already working of some information I posted but we are looking for a needle in a haystack. Not an impossible thing, but the information I tried to trace myself many yrs ago and got no where. So I am enlisting the help of anyone who thinks they can find what I am searching for. Possibly the information can PUT a suspect in WA. at a given time & in connections with individuals who had the knowledge to pull this skyjacking off. I think all Cooper had was just enough information to attempt the deed - but, if Cooper had a death wish or an uncureable disease the jump could very well have been an attempted suicide. BUT how does anyone find information the FBI has not acquired or researched? The entire focus of the thread should be to figure that one out and maybe lead them to a suspect - dead or alive. What could Cooper have been involved in: 1. NOT a known jumper. 2. Maybe someone who had some experience through exposure, but not known to others. 3. Prison talk 4. Bar talk, but considering what is talked about in a bar - probably not. What about a helper. Someone exposed to actual jumpers but in a limited sort of way. We discussed packers but the naysayers said all packers where jumpers. That assumption is NOT true. Packers may have had to make ONE jump but being a jumper was not one of them. They had to know what if felt like to put your life in hands of the man who packed the chutes. Cooper had to have known the area pretty damn well. I feel the man who was Cooper was actually mentioned in the past - but not someone who was known buy his real name. The FBI actually chased a few lead like that. What if the FBI files where made available to the public and if the FBI felt a need to redact the names - so be it. But the location and the reason a suspect was called in....the circumstance of the call. I have a strong feeling one of those leads about a man who used to come in the supply store or hang out around the jumpers or did odd jobs for the jumpers - some minor thing just might pop. Hell even a name he gave in a bar in 1949 or the chance of someone having a picture of a man they thought could be Cooper is pretty thin. It is a given most of the leads are untraceable at this date...but what if! We aren't asking the FBI for the impossible - what are they going to do with all of those files - destroy them? Yep! What do you bet that most of them have not already been destroyed? Cooper would be approx 88 if he was still alive. Given the nature of someone who would have made such a jump - probably not. Cooper was someone - who took chances. Wish I had lived in WA these last 15 yrs...I would have been on the ground all most everyday talking to anyone who ever contacted the FBI or made a claim in a bar - YOU know I think that man used to come in here or I remember this guy who said this or that. I had 4 individuals who claim Weber was here or there - but the FBI never questioned these people....it had been too many yrs for the FBI to trust the memory of someone in a bar or a couple of gals who used to go there and remembered a guy singing certain songs or playing the piano. Cooper was not a shy reclusive - he was a person who put himself out there and wanted attention. Cooper had confidence he could do anything he set his mind to as long as it didn't involve commitment. I know you guys will disagree with that - but commitment is a learned trait. It is learned on an as need basis. IT has been too many yrs for a search to find & prove conclusively anyone certain suspect is Cooper. So do we stop here or do we start over in a different direction? The only REAL start anyone will ever have is complete ACCESS to the FBI files - to every phone call and every individual called in as a suspect. Then it take finding a live human being who will remember the call - chance of that are ZERO. So why do we continue the battle - without the help of the FBI and their files it is futile effort? I know I still keep the faith that someone will find that needle in the haystack. The only option left is to go beyond this thread - to take Cooper where he has NOT been taken before. A major 2 hr TV special that will FOCUS on the small things and not devote to much time to the history and why and how the jump could or could not be made. The FBI would have to assist - and not just an agent trying to make a name for himself - we need the files! NOT the files for the entire 42 yrs - just the first 5 yrs. I really believe in those five yrs of files is the call the FBI missed or an agent dismissed. Okay - so why are WE here? Why do we continue to keep limit the the search field? I think the search is what keeps some of you coming back night after night. What did we MISS? What did the FBI Miss or is Cooper buried in the deep forest - or maybe the pilot went right over Mt St. Helens making turns and trying to get Cooper off those stairs. That plane did make a lot of turns and the reports from the ground were just as bad as the controversial flight maps. Nah - Even the co-pilot was uncertain of his location at time or is there a way that information could have been altered. We have those missing minutes - the missing minutes the authorities claim the FLIGHT path covers and Cooper was here and not here or there. We have done all we can with the flight path. I kept the my home4ubyjo@aol.com because I hold an inactive license and will activate it to sell my own home. Due to my abilities to sell - I cannot NOT pay someone a 7% commission to sell my house. I have willing independent brokers who would allow me to do this. I keep my continueing education credits current just for this purpose. In exchange I will offer any listing I might obtain or a buyer not interested in my home to a co-worker. 3. Because my email address was a first of its kind and byjo is an ex-pression - I chose to keep it until the day I no longer own a home or have a need to sell my home. 4. Therefore I am not quilty of what you are saying. Strickly an email address and not a promotion of any kind. 5. I worked for the chains and do NOT hold a brokers license. P.S. I could also list my home on the MLS by owner and pay the approx $600+ fees to do so. Being a retired realtor would be a plus, would not gain the co-operation of other realtors in the area...should my license stay inactive. This is just a common courtesy to the retirees and it benefits the real estate offices who extend this to the retired realtors. ME THINKS you need to make postings about things you know something about - it is evident you know nothing about me or about real estate laws. 1st name is Ernie Ford with FGA jobs. Not sure what that is 2ed name is Taylor (last name, but all I have). Both would have been Duane's age or perhaps older. Also could have been someone connected to one these two guys. I will try to find Taylor's first name so give me a few days. Both had connections to a woman named Mildred. I have SAT on this for many yrs. Note I have NO idea what FGA is. Since both were older than Duane, Cooper may have been a relative of one of these guys. At this point I cannot explain WHY I am suggesting these individuals and I have NO idea what either one of them looked like. I still think Weber was Cooper, but I am boing to play this card or hunch and it is up to you guys to find the information. One or both spent time in WA. One or both were jumpers but do not know what kind. One or both left their secret with Weber or Weber was Cooper...and a relationship was just co-incidental and convenient. The atmosphere in the thread is very thin right now. Just because this a large and very active thread - is no reason to continue it. NO one comes to this thread about Cooper to read the bickering postings & demands of the posters. They come here for information. As soon as they read one page they move on - and who would blame them. Even the regulars don't stick around very long. I even tried to change the subject tonight just for a breath of air....but, NO such LUCK! What we have right now is 2 writers with ego problems and one jerk who only quips about the postings of others and myself trying to make sense out of a death bed confess....None of the newbies or the jumpers or researchers come to this thread anymore - who would blame them. The FBI would love it - if the thread shut down. What I would love to have is a set of disks with all the thread on it to reference regarding the useful postings and the research done. I would think the DZ might be able to make a bundle off of such a product. Perhaps one day the case will be solved using those disks... If anyone want to continue if a productive manner - I am going to suggest ONE last suspect! I am not going to tell anyone why? I will make a post with that information on it before I go to bed. When Lee Dormuth or his wife ask for an apology I will give it due consideration. As for your accusation that the Dormuths clammed up because of my alleged bad behavior, what's your proof? What interviews were they giving to journalists before I knocked on their door and then wrote about Lee's need for dental care? Rather, I think you perceived a weak spot in my public standing and then took advantage to deliver a cheap shot. As for the Dormuths' behavior, consider this: 1. Lee lied to me about the nature of his relationship with Tina. I know it is active and not passive because I know that he reads her mail. 2. Lee told me that he has no interest in Tina and "wants no part of it." I find that unconscionable. His sister in law is a raging recluse and clearly needs all the familial support she can get. 3. Lee did not return repeated phone calls to me before I walked up to his front door. I think he has a responsiblity to society and all taxpayers to communicate on a case that he is intimately familiar with. After all, we paid him - and continue to pay him in a pension - to deliver a measure of justice. I don't think he is keeping his end of the bargain. Hence, I think I am entitled to an apology from a former civil servant who feels he has a right to deceive and keep silent in his retirement. I say no. What say you, Robert? What ever became of the Night Clerk Jo? 377 He sent me an email several months ago that he was coming to the states but if he did I have not heard from him. He may be having more issues as you know before he came to the states for surgery to have a kidney removed because of cancer - that is when the FBI finally went to see him while he was on pain medications from the surgery. I am reviewing an old planner I only kept part of. This was interesting and something I long ago shelved because NO one believed anything I said. On Monday Feb 7th 2000, Garrison Lewis contacted me - the was the attorney for Jowers. His life had been threatened and the FBI would NOT do anything. Noted he is 67 (at that time) and very nice. This was not about Cooper, but about my searching into the things Duane and his ex told me. I was enquiring about a John Collins and what he looked like. John Collins did come up in those hearings but John Collins has been erased from all of the King files that I later researched. John Collins was provided another name - a few yrs later, but there was a JOHN COLLINS connected to Ray - THOSE files have now been altered. THIS notation is from Feb. 7th of 2000. Actual conversation with Garrison. Note I had NOT mentioned nor discussed D.B. Cooper. He talked about the GRILL and the old hotel. During the trial it came out that in 68 or 69 a man from Atlanta called a LOS ANGELES HOTEL where James Earl Ray was training as a bartender after plastic surgery - the caller gave his name as COLLINS. Mr Garrison is going to speak with MR. JOWERS and see if he will talk to me. Mr. Jowers did NOT agree to speak with me. BUT there was a JOHN COLLINS in the files in 2000 - now the name of the person calling the place Ray was training as a Bartender - they gave him another name! In MAR 2000 - I make a note to Duane about an angel on my shoulder. I state I am sorry I didn't listen to him and that he didn't trust me and wished I could give him a kiss and a hug. In other words I am expressing regrets for NOT have understood the things he told me about his life...and digested more of what he told me about his life. Noted that Duane didn't want me to see certain programs on TV or certain books - NOW in retrospect I remember his, but that was 14 yrs ago I wrote that - I have shelved a lot of the life we spent together and until this moment - I had push that back into the mind. He made sure I didn't read certain books or watch certain programs - NOW I know WHY, but until this moment I had forgotten all about that. Because of the nature of our work when the programs were on we were usually working (evenings) and I never ever watched daytime TV. March 22, 2000 Package arrived from Duane's brother. NO WAY the FBI could deny Duane was in the ARMY! John had sent me the papers from his mother's files. WE had the FBI in a pickle - now they are saying they had one of the army numbers wrong - yet for 4 & 1/2 yrs they had told me WEBER was never in the ARMY. NOW do you guys believe me. It is all here in the files! ALL of it! THE deception of the FBI regarding this and the altering of other files! April 4th 2000 - I am crying and my heart hurts for Duane and why the FBI lied to me and WHY did it take the brother's record and myself to confront the FBI's so called investigation of Duane. THE FBI didn't have the serial number wrong - that was just an excuse. April 7th 2000 - a man who I had been put intouch with to do a book (note this is after I confronted the FBI in March of 2000) - this man wanted to do it his way - and I refused to lie for a BOOK WRITER to make an impact....I told him where to go! May 15 2000 - Package arrives, but I don't understand or remember what it was about other than it concerned a place called Columbia Camp. August 2000 - the night Clerk has contacted Margie - but I thought the article was done in 2001 - I must be wrong. No more noted for the yr 2000 in the planner - but I didn't keep it all. Anyone remember when Margie Boule ran the article - was it 2000 - I guess so. The yrs are running together now. I have to tell all I know. I cannot hold back anything. Glad I kept the pages, because the part about Jower I had shelved in my memory and at that time the calller / man was referred to as Collins and now history has changed the man's name. BUT I have it written down on the day of the phone conversation - I knew I did NOT imagine it as others later on told me there WAS no Collins who ever called Ray - suddenly the name became another name in later written articles and I stopped arguing about it! NO I am NOT CRAZY - I kept the notes - THANK YOU GOD! Would an esteemed attorney lie to me on the phone about something so important - I don't think so. Before when I tried to tell this to people - the attorney I believe had died - but I STILL have my damn NOTES - I forgot I made these and kept them. LIFE just went on and time erases things - but paper sticks around a little longer than the memory. Even in the Unsolved Mysteries or some other communications about the KING assinations - I wonder if I had imagined all of this - I was accused of lieing - but it is here and that means there is an old new article someplace that mentions the man calling by the name of Collins. LATER no one seemed to know anything about this - but, like so many thing - I just let it go. I was under the impression if I persisted in the King thing that NO one would ever believe me about Cooper....I was actual told NOT to talk about this. Teddy Mayfield obviouly wasnt the jumper but the crime sure fits. He was a convicted ARMED ROBBER. That's a long way from picking pockets and stealing Kool Aid as far as big crime goes. From Sluggos site: Court records in Oregon show Mayfield has various convictions, including an armed robbery just prior to the D. B. Cooper heist, transportation of a stolen plane across state lines, and Criminal Negligent Homicide, for which he served 5 months in prison. Mayfield states that he has over 50 years experience flying airplanes, is a former member of the U.S. Army Special Forces from 1961-63, and has completed over 8,000 skydiving jumps. 377 As I recall, from the Myers-Dvorak roast of Teddy, Ted's crimes weren't as severe or hardened, as the labels imply. He said himself he had poor legal representation, and even poorer judgement at the time each of his socalled 'crimes' occurred. If I recall this correctly, the Criminal Negligent Homicide conviction for which he served actual time, was a negligence charge after the fact... after one of Ted's students or a client at his sky diving school, plunged to his death in a chute Teddy had packed, or failed to check ... or something like that. It was a criminal negligence charge vs. an overt criminal act on Ted's part. It apparently hit Teddy hard at the time resulting in his school being closed... and him serving time. Years later he was a successful Mayor of his community etc. Ted's life (and deeds) do not add up to the wholesale hardened criminal type Myers and Dvorak were contending ... not by a long shot. And part of his history was ordinary bad luck. That post helped a lot of the history to come back to me. He tried to help me out - and I think that meant he was good guy. I didn't get anything from him that spelled out deception of any kind. I did speak with him during all of that Myers & Dvorak thing. That was going on when I was posting at Unsolved Mysteries...just looking for information. Talking to anyone I could find. I had to pay for my long distance at that time - no unlimited calling. I have ALL of my bills so I can trace every time I called him - but do not remember the phone number - give me the location and what his number was then - and I can track every call. I didn't even know where his drop zone or school was located - WAS not into this that deep at the time. Just trying to find out who knew Duane and who Duane knew! Oh well, Tired of the chase and too painful to sit at the computer for very long. Easier for me to talk on the phone now a days! Anybody who knew Teddy would likely suspect him. 377 So here's Mayfield at a "tracking" competition. From Oregonian November 26, 1965. He says they would "dive straight down from 10,500 feet to terminal velocity of about 220 miles per hour. Then tuck forward into a bent over position as if about to go off a diving board. This creates an airfoil like the wing of an airplane with reduced differential pressure on your back which shoots you forward at up to 90 miles an hour". He and a partner tracked in opposite directions about a 2 miles in 55 seconds while falling about 200 mules an hour with smoke coming out of their heels

I personally was not considering Mayfield as s suspect, but a source of information. It was only the last few pages of this thread that I felt a need to re-address Mayfield and my reviewing of the notes I wrotes in a spiral note book regarding my conversation with him. Actually difficult to remember what the notes meant, but YOU are correct he was a suspect on DAY one. Only after finding there was a Jack Collins in the recent postings - did I revisit my phone call with Mayfield. The notes were written prior to 2000 and not in order. The spiral was the thing I wrote notes in as I spoke to individuals. Not all of the notes are dated...and the 2 spirals are co-mingled - they were always on my kitchen counter which is where the phone was - I did NOT have a cordless. Some times the notes where made after I got off the phone. Just words to remind me of the conversation...I thought the FBI was investigating - but I was digging in to the past of Weber and calling people on my own. Trying to find any thing that led back to Weber and why he would confess to this crime and why he told me all the things he had told me in our 17 yr marriage. Why the hell do you guys think Snowden is still in Russia. The things he was exposing had NOTHING to do with the security of current operations - he was unmasking the past of the USA actions and Dirty Government didn't like that. Well, if something is so secret it can't be talked about after the fact then it should not have been sanctioned in the first place. To many things point to the 1971 Skyjacking being more than just one lone man trying to do himself in. Perhaps revenge for promises made and not kept. Even those who were involved in some of these actions yrs ago felt it was a crime for the government to keep a lid on this and not recogize those who served the efforts. They were referring to things OUR government never wanted to ACKNOWLEGDE they had even been a part of. It was the DIRTY side of our government. Remember Duane used the name John C.Collins from 1962 to 1966. I got intouch with Mayfield on the advise of Mr. H.!!!!!!! Now bear in mind - before Mayfield was a subject of interest. Mayfield got agitated and wanted me to DROP it - I didn't understand what he meant. Thought perhaps I was mixing him up with someone else, but my NOTES do not lie. He even referenced Jack Collins and I corrected him - maybe HE thought I was Jack Collins wife...he was going thru a law suit at the time and something about charges and he was going to AZ. Mayfield was Special Forces 1961 to 1963. Does ANYONE know where MAYFIELD spent those 3 yrs. You military buffs - bet you can get some information - details. I need to know every month in those yrs and were he was and what he was doing. I knew if I stayed at this long enough one day what I had been searching for would pop. Mr. H was pretty insisted I talk to Mayfield, but as the time I didn't know why and unless they thought I was connected to this supposedly Jack Collins. NOW I need to read the book, but I am not willing to pay for it and no one in my area has it. Remember I do NOT read on line or use a credit card on line. I need to read all of those books - this COLLINS things is giving me the CREEPS. Those of you who have read both Brad Collins book and the other book - tell me about them. I also want to know if any of them claimed any connections with Seattle and the airstrip N of there. I want to see pictures - lots of pictures. The suspect I present confessed to the crime & he had a record. Therefore the confession of Weber should be taken into serious consideration. Bruce is DEFINITELY NOT ETHICAL! Bruce can DIG all he wants, but when he takes pictures of WITNESSES paparazzi style & makes obtuse demeaning remarks about these witnesses & then presents himself at their door uninvited - just what would you call that? An innocent girl who just happend to be a stewardess on a skyjacked plane - who has tried to move forward with her life but is hounded 42 yrs later by the likes of journalist who did not write or ask permission to interview her. He is so obcessed with her he digs into her personal life & goes clear across the country to hound her relatives on the East Coast & when that didn't work goes to the West coast and puts himself in front of her brother-in-law and sister with no invitation to do so. When he felt rebuffed he created a horrible demean article for the public media regarding the man's appearance and mannerisms... He DID that AFTER he took paparazzie style photos of her disrupting her privacy and distributes them to others - I was sent on. He shows up on her DOOR uninvited after doing the pictures and insisting on talking to her. Thank GOD she did NOT let him into her home. This woman spent a lot of yrs rebuilding her life and then someone like Bruce - destroyes her privacy and invades her space when the woman has committed NO crime - and ONLY tried to go on with her life. That Skyjacking was a life ALTERNING experience for her - she never KNEW the potential her life could have had. Her life was disrupted at the age of 22 due to no fault of her own...her life was forever changed. Her position in this matter that made it unique was that the SKYJACKER was never caught or known - that is a lot of stress for a young woman with her entire life ahead of her. Yes, I sent her a short letter with a donation for her favorite charity and my phone number - it was HER call to contact me or NOT. I had been in possession of her phone number for yrs before I tried to make the first contact. The person providing the number never identified him self or her self...I never learned the identity of RobbyClampett, but I felt 100% sure I was correct when I made a call to DC. The man was someone Duane had spoke of and claimed to have known. I did not have to ID myself - he knew who I was. We had a discussion, but he provided NO confidential information - but somethings are said in such a way - one knows exactly what both individual are talking about. He assured me it was a matter he had been working of for yrs - to release information regarding 'incidents' where individuals are given recognition for their efforts....this was the beginning of some records that have been opened such as Area 51. But, since he is NO longer around to fight for release only smidgens of information has come forward - the bureaucrates closed it down again. John was my husband. John was my grandfather Brad was my brother Bud was my brother. Would some one stop messing with my family tree! If Brad's father was John Collins then maybe he is my stepson. IF he looks like a Collins - then we got a real problem. There as also a Cooper researcher by the name of Collins - a young man who researched the subject for yr and yrs. He wanted to write a book about John Collins aka Duane L. Weber, but there was no co-operation from the FBI. He lived in Vancouver. NOT joking - everything I said above is true - absolutely. I talk to Bud and Brad often and my grandfather was John and so was my father and my husband. I have been waiting to say this ever since I heard about the man coming to the symposium and to Ariel! Jo Stated: Grey Cop Stated; I think it needs to be stated several individuals only post here to promote themselves or a book or just to have a place to discuss the subject. NO one ever thought exploring Cooper would be easy. The thread has provided a sounding board for many individuals to post their views and their suspect. Then we got the jokers and the peddlers and the others - all genuinely interested in the subject, but some took things just TOO FAR. NO one comes here to read about some of the things that have been aired on this thread...such as personal attacks and promotions for books....or plain right out jibberish and rants. I have been forced to protect my integrity and the very core of my life which has been that of being an honest and forthcoming person. Others promoting books have done repetitive postings. THIS distracted others from introducing other subjects and NOT wanting to read thru all of the repetitions. I have NOT promoted anything in the thread - all I wanted to do was open the eyes and the minds of the investigators and those who have or had subjects. If anyone could solve the case - there had to have been a jumping experience for Cooper. Then everyone got caught up in theories - yes, that was what was needed, but there have been more who came here to DEMEAN other posters than new ideas or theories or that memory an old jumper had or that guy he spent the night in the tank with. If the FBI had come to the thread - forthright without denouncing any one specific suspect - clues may have came forth regarding other suspects. One can expect some detours with a subject like this - not to the extent some have taken it. 1. When Blevins was allowed to promoting his book - this was a bad thing. Promoting a subject and investigating his back ground is an altogether different thing.... ! 2. The FBI should have come forward with an official presence and not be keeping CKRETS. If they were going to state something about a subject - documentation should have been required - as long as the relatives agreed. This yr. I found specific info - the FBI would NOT even go look at. 2013 the information was 63 yrs old, but when the FBI 1st started their investigation of the subject the information was only 46 yrs old & files readily available w/back-up paper work....this proves the FBI did NOT investigate certain suspects. WHY? Point proven - the FBI should have made an OFFICIAL presence & not a superficial one denouncing suspects without providing actual documents as was requested by the family. 3. NO witness should have been demeaned for commerical purposes regarding this case. What is the point of demeaning those who have had to live with the physical and mental aspect of the crime for over 40 yrs. P.S. It was my hopes this would be a platform on which solid evidence regarding Cooper, Weber or any suspect or clues might come forward - that old friends or casual associates might come forward and say - I remember that man...He said this or that and it got my curiosity up..... I used to go to this bar - and there was this guy....or yea I was in the tank and this guy kept talking jumping out a plane. The FBI missed information on a suspect - public information w/back-up readily available in 1996. WHY? That information was critical, information that could have saved the FBI a fortune & yrs of investigating & the informant yrs of frustration. Well, then Georger do something about Bruce! Believe you me when it is your PRIVATE life he attacks you will defend yourself. His POSTINGS are out of line. He demeans anyone he can in anyway he can. He cares NOTHING about the case being solved - he only wants the sensationalization - whatever it take to make a buck! BRUCE does NOT care WHO he STEPS ON or WHOSE life he destories! He has this SICK obcession with exposing Tina and her private life. BRUCE's actions and line of question - is CALLED STALKING! There needs to be some lines drawn - serious lines. ONE is NOT exposing the private lives of the crew and/or victims unless they do so on their own. YOU do not attack the victims and NO one else does. BRUCE is the only stalker and he seems obcessed with Tina. Blevins has created a lot of his story, but at least he is NOT out there STALKING Cooper victims.
