I do NOT know who JACK is and from what he is quoting. 1. The parking stub: 1990 after Duane went on the machine and had obtained the John Collins drivers license successfully even though the police & FBI only seemed to acknowledge the attempt to obtain the license in a small town near where we lived. I have the license and the receipt of the drivers license (They are real and not false - a fact the FBI just ignored). 2. After Duane and his friend returned from the Tallahassee set-up - this is when Duane went to Omaha. I surmise he needed the John Collins ID to obtain the contents of a safe deposit box he opened there in 1980 after the Tina Bar find. It was within a week of his return that I saw the TICKET STUB 1990 to clarify one more time (LOOKED like a theater ticket on his desk at the shop). I had stopped by to see how he was doing - remember he was living in our camper which was parked at the shop. That ticket stub had on it SEA-TAC, because I ASKED him what SEA-TAC was. He told me it was an airport in WA. Then stated "Doesn't mean anything anymore" then later asked me what I did with the ticket. I told him it was in the waste basket. We had separated for a few wks to give him time to adjust to the kidney machine... This was on the advice of the Dr after Duane was caught trying to obtain another drivers license in one county, but un-beknown to the deputies he had already successfully obtained his John Collins drivers license in another county - evidently he did NOT have it on him. (I have the paper work that outlines this. Receipts for the license (the one the authorities missed), his arrest the next day & but put under 3 day observation (because of his health condition) The Dr. help orchestra that so he would not be charged. 3. During this visit there was a ticket stub on his desk - it said SEA-TAC. A TICKET THAT WAS LIKE A MOVIE THEATER TICKET - I HAVE DISTINCTLY EXPLAINED THIS BEFORE - BUT, there is always that person who reads a single post and does not read before and after. 4. He adapts to the kidney machine and about 4 weeks plus later he pulls the trailer into the back yard and says "I'm Home if you will have me!" 5. Life goes on till he broke his leg and was confined to his bed. I do not remember the date anymore. I may have stated that date incorrectly...He took 2 falls and I get them mixed up - it was a hard time. Whatever my notes in the first few yrs state is closer to being accurate than what I now post. I am tired and I am not well and I can hardly see the screen and on top of that I have to find a new car - something I really can't afford to do at this time. Between the Dr.s appt, car, Cooper, the medication - and trying to keep this straight I am EXHAUSTED - so very very tired! VERY tired of being put on trial by participants of this thread...people who have not met me and do not know me! At any rate this is the time I found the plane ticket and it was in the old shop records from 1990. The one box that was never condensed to files - just thrown into a storage box. This is when I found the PDX airline ticket! I didn't know the difference between PDX and SeaTac...The ticket was from Portland to Seattle. I was going by the cities mentioned - excuse my ignorance if I did NOT understand that. I really did NOT know the difference. I am now getting my dates mixed up & I am very very physicallly tired and very very upset. NOT one of you is going to state for 14 yrs the same story day in and day out without variations. I now have too much to go thru and it is all scrambled up (the research), to be able to put my hands on a note or a hospital record. Now - my mind is getting scrambled - didn't realize till now that I need to find the dates on all of this so there is NO one bouncing me around in an effort to discredit...THERE are things that I no longer remember - like names. This is just TOO much. The MOST HORRIBLE part of all of these 17 yrs is Bruce Smith. I can understand some of you asking questions, but if you had read back it should be clear. Some of you are taking snippets of postings and want them to be rehashed...when if you kept reading or read back it might explain itself. I want you guys to know a tape was made with the night Clerk, but we did NOT feel it creditable to present. It was after he had moved to China during one of his brief trips back to the states. By that time his story had evolved a little and he lost a lot of creditability, but he was also under a camera and many people when under pressure will state something just a little different than what they first told. By the time the tape was made he and I had spoke several times and I felt he had altered his story a little. THIS is why I was so upset the FBI did NOT interview him after he first contacted me and when he was STILL with his former wife who validated his story...they later divorced and he married a woman in the states and then later went to China and married a woman there. Time & circumstances changes many things. Wonder HOW many of you could have with stood the pressure of 10 yrs trying to tell what you remembered and what you saw in 1971 and 1979 and to do this many yrs later such as myself - 2001 to 2014. I do not think I said the ticket had Sea Tac on it - but the other item which was like a movie ticket said SEA-TAC and it was in 1990 the ticket STUB was on his desk in the office of the shop! Remember that in 1979 you could rent a box to put your luggage and other items into rather than carry them around.. Why there was a Sea Tac Stub has always been a mystery. The stub and the ticket are two diffent things seen at two different times. The stub in 1990 was on his desk after his mysterious disappearance for 2 days while on a business trip with a friend....he left the other guy in charge of the set-up inTallahassee on Thursday and did NOT return until Sat night. The AIR LINE Ticket was the yr before he died and when he was laid up with a broken leg...after he had closed down the shop and brought some things to the house. After all of these yrs I do NOT even remember if the ticket said Dan Cooper - but what I wrote to Mr. H would be my best memory. I go back to my statements to Mr. H. and I stand by that. Because of the last 2 days I am really not up to posting, but I feel relatively sure at this time the ticket said Dan Cooper. A lot has been presented in this thread and some things are taken out of context. This twisting of things is what happens when you do not post the discussions before and after and go back and pick out segments of a post without the relating posts and questions and answers. When you do this please study back to the prior discussions by others and the questions asked. SO like U, Bruce to GET YOUR facts regarding Weber and others all scrambled up! The story as it was TOLD to me and then to this THREAD was that the night clerk thought "they" were dropped at the motel. NOTE, that he was aware someone in the outer lobby (it was L shaped) and thought it was a woman, but did NOT know if the person was with Cooper. Cooper asked for a LATE check out on the 24th. That was NOT unusual as the stewardess and pilots stayed at the hotel --- which was the RED LION just outside of the airport grounds. He himself is six foot plus and he knew the man was at least in his height range. When he saw Duane's picture in the Local paper in 2001 - he got in touch with Margie Boule the writer and she put him in touch with me. THE FBI was having NO part of it! At the time he was interviewed in 1971 - the agent took the sign in card and had on gloves and put it in a plastic bag....when the night clerk went to pull the card, he told him not to touch it. NO one - including Mr. H has never been able to tract the individuals who were checking the hotels and motels. The night Clerk thought the plain clothes man ID'ed himself as FBI. The FBI Did NOt contact the man until I SHAMED them ON this thread! His wife who he is divorced from BACKED HIM UP 100%. She remembered him coming home and telling what had happened, but he was never recontacted even when he came forward in 2001 after seeing the picture of Duane Weber in the OREGONIAN. I found fault with his story as told to me in 2001 versus how his story seemed to evolve - by the time the FBI contacted him YRS later ONLY after I shamed Carr about the negligence of the FBI in not doing so in this thread! The changes were ONLY minor and I attributed them to contamination by talking to me for serveral yrs before the FBI was shamed in to contacting him but waited until he was on major pain medication due to the removal of a kidney because of cancer. I received a note from him several months ago that he was coming back to the states, but did NOT follow up - hope it was not the cancer coming back. The night clerk story is intriguing. Has anyone from the FBI actually met him in person? Phone calls and emails can come from anyone. YOU are very well aware the Night Clerk was interviewed! It is in the thread. Agent Carr finally inteviewed him after a serious surgery only because I dissed him about the FBI not having done that in 2001 when he came forward. They didn't even TRY to find the registration card the FBI confiscated from the hotel...according to the night clerk - Cooper signed in as John Collins and alias he was know to use in the past. As for the plane ticket and the parking ticket - I will swear to you and to GOD & on the life of those I love, that they did exist and I held them in my hands. I do NOT know what happened to them - perhaps part of what was hidden in the van I sold. The FBI did NOT offer me the opportunity to take a lie detector test on this....They IGNORED all of the obvious things about Weber until they saw I was NOT going to give up and then they SENT agent Carr on a mission - SHUT HER UP! The last picture you printed of an older man - who is that and where did you get that picture? I have a picture of a man without a helmet on who looks very much like that picture..but older. Taken in the 70's. I have to pull the picture - maybe it is just the full face. The man whose pic I have had NO facial hair....probably all BIG men just look alike to me. It is only a paper copy of a group photo, but I will look for it tonight just to compare. Like I said - probably nothing! Just someone Duane knew in the 70's but the name is NOT Norton. Probably a man whose appearance is similar. Any one have a pic of that man without the helmet and with the weight on him. A full body pic would be great. Got to go - got errands to run. In 2001 a night clerk approached me thru Margie Boule. I believe and have confirmed the story he told me. He contacted me thru Margie and told me a story. The night before the crime a man checked in - who he has claimed since seeing Duane's pictures in an artilce Margie did - that Duane Weber was the man. In 1971 the next day after the skyjacking he was questioned by the FBI since he was on duty the night before. A man came in after dark and was looking for a room. He said there was a second party outside the door he believed was with the man...stayed in the shadows. Never knew. The man wanted a room and asked for a late check out and not to be disturbed the next day - which was Nov 24, 1971. Pilots and stewardesses often do this so he thought nothing of it. Next day - when he goes to work the FBI question him. He tells them what the guy looked like and until the picture of Duane Weber appeared in his local newpaper in 2001 - he didn't know who the man was. The FBI collected the sign in Card and placed it in a plastic bag. Now the FBI has NO IDEA where THAT EVIDENCE is. The Night Clerk swears it was signed by JOHN COLLINS. He remembered that clearly....yet, the FBI has NO records. The local law enforcement also did a lot of the work like that - so WHICH dept. took the hotel registration is in question. Phil Harris SR was a jumper - forestry or other wise I do not know - he was still alive in 1980 Pennington I do not have a 1st name for but was a jumper who moved to the East Coast later in life - he to would be deceased. Alice Knutsen - I have NOT been able to let go of that one. I want to know her age when born and the circumstances of her death and who her husband was. Benjamin Richards is very very important....WHO WAS HE & what did he do. I am revisiting some of my old research hoping I can finish this - Who were the Boys he workd on the VOR with? THAT ONE IS VERY IMPORTANT. Who built it and when and is there anyway to trace the work crews. Who put the microwave towers up in Washougal and other locations. I would love to be able to go to Washington and to walk in these areas and see old pictures of the families who live and died there. There has to be archived pics of these people some place. What was the name of the caretake for the ledbetter farm and what was his back ground. The man who built the air stip there what was his name. I tried so hard to get these things on line but no way. I would take weeks of traveling in an RV - but I would love to do it, If I died in WA that would be ok also. I just want to know the truth and that is it. He had a life in WA and I want to know what that life was. It has been too many yrs for anyone to be alive that actually knew him. I keep hoping I will find pictures of him but I hardly know what he looked like as a young man. I want to find that grave and find out who was buried there. There is another cemetary he didn't take me to - I hope it is still there I want to know the families and the individuals buried there. It was off of Coffin Rd....probably a small family plot - and to find out if it has been moved. I want to go back to the grave yard East of Washougal. I want to dig into the archives of the area - there has to be traces some place and I know there is a trace in Puyallup and Spokane and Coure 'alene. Then above that on THE WA side is a museum - so many places I want to find the foot prints of this gentle criminal I fell in love with yrs ago - it would take a life time and I don't have a life time to find out all that I would like to know about him. I know I can't go back, but that does NOT keep me from wanting to - I would not want to leave. It was a place that made him smile it was a place of good memories. For whatever harm he caused other he did try to be a good boy...his heart was there,, but not the discipline. In the end he was the GOOD boy him mama always thought would survive. I think she would have been proud of what he accomplished in those few short yrs after he got it ALL together. Got to go CRYING to hard. Robert LET me try to explain to you what a 20 yr old was trying to say regarding the hair in 1971. More than likely Cooper had dyed his hair...he probably did it himself and it might have been one of those temporary dyes. Dyed hair in 1971 had a problem of NOT looking natural unless professionally done. It was NOV, but if he had been to FL and had gotten a lot of sun - his hair would have been dried out. Obviously he had a natural curl he was trying to disquise and that is a problem. Maybe when he boarded the plane with all of the product I expect he used on his hair - DYE and some GREASY stuff like VO5....looked artificial to a young college student. With curly hair, the humidty causes it to start to look THICKER and some frizz causing it to start to look unkemp as he sat in that plane and the humidity started to climb. Growin his hair out was part of his disquise - or so he hoped. Most pictures of Weber pre 1971 showed him with short hair - so I venture he tried to make it look long and dark. His mug shot showed short tight wavey hair). Frankly I had never see Duane's hair as kinky as it was in that Jefferson photo. I knew it to be curly when subjected to humidity (just curls) not kinks. I saw a part of Weber in the JEFFERSON pic I had never seen before. It was easy to see the marcelled look. Hair changes with conditions and as we age. What was easy to manage slightly curly hair becomes a combinations of straight and kinky and unmanageable. The products available in 1971 were very poor. You have a 20 yr old remarking about a man in his 40's - dye and V'O hair that is trying to curl in damp weather making it "grow" look fulle /marcelled. r. THAT was ODD to the young man...who had a typical college boy look himself and as my husband and my father kept their hair natural - I considered the look sleazy...in 1971. Belvins KC has never ever been considered because the eyea are too light and he is too short! I felt Vicky needed answers - and did what I did because he disappeared during the right frame time. He has NOT answered VICKIE's plea. I felt this young lady needed answers regarding her father! Do - YOU REALLY think HE IS going to GIVE a WRITER the time of DAY! Especially one who shows up on his door! Evidentally he took a second look at Weber because the ears was his only problem with Weber in 2001. The EARS were still a problem! IT has been 42 FRICKING yrs - it is going to take MORE than a WITNESS ID. Don't you get it! Even if he recognized Cooper on the street - he couldn't say a damn word. I was caught up in the postings and went to an old file hoping beyond all HOPE that maybe Thomas had a member of his family who worked for him. Well, I have the names with another company, but not the names of the ones who Worked for Mr. Thomas. OLD records I have NOT had a reason to look at for several yrs. I stumble into something! Remember the BRR I kept throwing out every once in awhile - like a poke in the ribs for about 3 yrs. An old legal instrument with BRR on it in a place that seemed illogical because of the orientation of the instrument. The authorities would NOT help, but after several yrs my guy was given the name that went with the clue - did NOT mean a thing to me! Remember I keep lots and lots of things in my head but, they are written down on little notes that do NOT mean beans to me yrs later. Going to these first volumes I put together AFTER I returned from WA in 2001 with the documentary crew. I found some information regarding a BR...old stuff and the name given to me in 2001 at The Tavern. Dollars Corner Tavern in 2001: One of the long time guys there had suggested I find a certain guy and I wrote his name down. We tried to find the guy, but NO luck so we thought perhaps the guys at the Tavern were sending us on a wild GOOSE chase. That was 2001. When I returned home - I did some searches regarding the name he had given me in 2001. I made lots of phone calls, but a common name and a dead end. 3 yrs ago - I was contacted by a man who had done several interviews for me regarding other things & this is when he found a legal conveyance with BRR. I couldn't tell him what it meant. He finally found out the name that went with the BRR and it still didn't mean CRAP to me...this was just a few months ago. Tonight just trying to help you guys with some information about the name Thomas - I pulled out a sheet of paper I had written names down on in 2001 after I got back from WA and my notes I made while with the crew and my phone calls regarding that BR

NOT a GOOD idea AT all! If you or anyone of us showed up on his door - it is the WRONG thing to do. We all know about Bruce's tactics and your interviews...are always tainted. Why don't you send him a letter (which I think you have the wrong information on). If you have the right Mitchell he would probably NOT respond - as I am sure he likes his privacy. Wrong WAY Robert. I have spoke to Mitchell in the past - he is a nice guy but anyone showing up on his door will end up causing HIM to take the same direct Tina took. It was 42 yrs ago. They have a life! They are tired of Cooper being a part of who they are. Their home is their privacy - do NOT invade it. You will cut OFF the only source the FBI still shows pictures to. As Eng if they have shown the pictures to Bill. They do see the media reports and have knowledge of the books out there - if they thought KC was Cooper they would already have contacted the FBI. Try finding his family - like a brother who was about 10 yrs older. Bill Thomas or Wiliam Thomas. Common name - but look in Georgia and then in Chicago. Was the owner of an insurance company in Ga who sold insurance to FBI and other - Goverment Employees. Seems like Bill Thomas signed off ON a lot of false infomation regarding Weber and his employment. Remember that Oakdale was the locations several thousands of dollars in 20's (not cooper 20's) was scattered over the back and in the contained areas of an apartment building. In the EAST we never learned the source of this money or who tossed it. Oakdale - near Modesto is a place that Duane and his exwife lived for a short period of time. All I have to contribute to this conversation.... You might check and see if the OLD woman's memory is really out of WHACK! Yes, I have read that article. I did NOT use that article - only my memory and the notes I have. I have several inches of articles in folders. There are OTHER articles very similar to that one. I don't have them saved, just printed and in folders - there is an entire suitcase filled with nothing but research material. Definitely I remember things if they parallel things Duane told me. There is a lot in that article, but written in 2003. If you want you are welcome to go thur the suit case of articles in a very large suit case. I retain what is important to me and things that paralled things Duane told me. There are things in that article that are not accurate per other articles. I GIVE UP - I scanned the mouse 3 times and I can't find him and when I do he won't post. I is after 4AM here and I am going to bed - been CHASING this damn mouse for 3 Hrs now! It is day break and I still have not got that damn mouse yet. Take a picture of a letter or something else extensive he wrote...and post it. Lefties are not that tough to spot in their writing. Even his signature alone might do it. I'm not saying you are wrong (you lived with him, you should know) but something supporting your statement would help. People have blasted you on everything else, maybe this time you can prove them wrong about Weber on at least this point. ALL of that has been posted before.
