  1. Inconsistency and error - this is why the FBI needs to go and speak to the few witnesses still alive. Right now there are only 3 besides the passengers on that plane and one of those is reportedly ill. Tina reported that Cooper had on ankle shoes - the only ankle shoes I know of are the boots that zips up to the ankle - something Duane wore 80% of the time. Yet, the media and FBI has reportedly stated loafers. Tina was studying everything she could about this man? She tried to make conversation if for nothing more than to alleviate her own fear - I believe there was conversation other than what has been reported. Tina made an impression on this man he never forgot - he died holding a Statue of Mary - he was not Catholic. I have prayed that Tina would reconsider and view some photos for me privately, but she never called me again...and I did not inflict myself upon her ... my ph.# changed and is not listed under my name.
  2. With absolutely NO evidence being found in 36 yrs except for money that had to have been protected for a period of time - I say he survived, but then of course that is why I am in this forum. Duane Weber survived and to confess - 24 yrs later. Problem is the dumb blond didn't get it. There is more to the get away than I am willing to talk about in a forum...the FBI didn't hear me out 12 yrs ago and they aren't listening now.
  3. I wish someone would go to the horses mouth for this infornation 26 or 28...the information Cossey sent to me shows an NB6 and NB8. Cossey states in Tosaw's book that it was a 28 canopy and the information I have (by Cossey) states that a 28 will fit in a NB6 - now all I can do is report what I read and I understand little of this.
  4. Searching for a different piece of information I came upon this ---. Norjak - states "the money was to have come from one bank, but as the hijacker's time deadlilne approached, the crew was told that the money was coming from several Seattle banks." Dead or Alive? - states it just as you did above. Note the underscored words: This is how things get twisted ... I missed it and have always said the money came from several bank - not true. Now for my big mistake - I have stated that Pyramid Life underwrote the N.W. Policy, but it was Globe Indemity....which is owned by a congomerate with no way to verify the 1971 status. Sometimes it pays to go back and check your source...I miss things and the FBI can miss things too...remember the words Special Forces.
  5. THE PROFILE: In 36 yrs this profile has not been successful - therefore an updated profile might be helpful. In 1971 olive skin was a common catch-all for one who did not have a very fair or dark complexion - even today some individuals do not know what an olive complexion is. Shaffner said that he could be Indian or Latin - that certainly is not considered an olive complexion...this statement of hers was never put into the profile and today has not changed. With this said - a more accurate description of the complexion should run like - medium olive complexion with Indian or Latin under tones...might be considered Ruddy by some. - it has also been stated to the artist that he had a high forehead...hence most take that to mean receding, but not necessarily. NOW A QUESTION: or two The money - part of it being found...What if he put the money into different containers...under that coat he may have been wearing a nylon pouch attached to his waist and part of the money went there. Also the money he offered Tina may have along with more of the money may have been stowed on his person - add it up...2 pants pockets, 3 jacket pocket with the inside pocket and the raincoat had to large pocket outside and 3 inside pockets. One could conceivable place 17K on their person. If he had a nylon waist pouch 5K more. Obviously he took the brief case - how no one knows how, but it had fingerprints on it and certainly he could not leave it. The dummy pack - which has been theorize he tossed - maybe he cut the good front pack for what he needed to secure some of the money in that dummy. Now was there a nylon cover that he put over the money bag prior to securing it to himself? This Nylon bag had loops and hooks on it thru which the cords ran. Unless Cooper had transportation waiting for him - he could not pinpoint his landing area and there is no way he can get to that transportation and carry all he had - too obvious. He has to bury his things and come back for them later.
  6. FACT - Most business individuals do not drink when they know they need all of their faculties about them to make a close on a sale. FACT - some consider 1 pack a day chain smoking and I have never said he was a chain smoker talk to anyone who knew him. There was something published that erroneously said this. FACT: There are quotes that he may have been Indian or Latin - I have never seen an olive Indian.
  7. No the Doug I refer to was an investigative reporter who is now with HomeLand Security.
  8. Those prison smokejumper were between 1945 and 1959 and they also sent guys to help fight some fires besides Ca. at that time ---I have looked HI and LOW for it. I am hoping Doug made a hard copy.
  9. ABSOLUTELY SURE: You could actually see out the cracks - it was scary as hell. That plane was so old it was bucket of bolts. I have an old hip problem and I could not sit for very long...so I stood in the galley area as much as possible to be out of the way and there is a door there ---it was scary. I was curious about how high we were and there were 2 pilots going back to home base and they answered my question about the Altitude. I had taken another plane from Pensacola to Atl.
  10. Me too! I really want to know the answer to that one. Also a call to the Co-pilot could clear up any questions about the equipment on the plane and the time frames. What is the FBI waiting for - for one more witness to die before verifying the information? Well, then Cooper could be debated until the end of time....
  11. ------------------------------------------ Someone with survival training knows that you can use a pair of pants for a float... I find it hard to believe at a chute, a body, a bag and a briefcase all submerged and nothing was found for 9 yrs except money that had to have been protected for a period of time before reaching that beach.
  12. Sorry to disallusion you - I am not a pilot - but I knew most of the above things just from association prior to meeting Duane...I had friends who were pilots and was dating a pilot. The only things I was not aware of was V23 being a low altitude. He told the pilot he wanted to go to Mexico - I would expect in a hijack for that to be the most direct line and if we started out over the ocean - I would be calling the pilot. Never mind that I had already made the trip a couple of days before and planned on jumping 20 minutes after the wheels left the runway. The calculation had already been made with the speed reduced to 150...just had to jump in a window of time. Plus I had flow over that area many times before. A flight from ATL to Frankfort Ky - in a 727. Standing in the galley -you could see out the cracks of the door and feel the air...obviously we were at a low altitude...looking at the ground - I thought - hey, I could jump that - of course I was a lot younger. I asked a couple of pilots how high we were - we were over 10,000 ---.
  13. Newpapers are about the same weight as the paper our money is made of - hence 20 lbs of newspaper cut in to bill sizes should give you the approx size of the package.
  14. Do a little chemistry experiment as I did a few yrs ago...Two Mason Jars - placed a $1 bill and a wide rubber band in each jar. One sat in my window sill and the other under the kit cabinet. Note: I also added a little dirt - soil from under the oak tree and the azaelas as I felt this would be the closest I could get to WA. soil. *The one in the window sill - faded and got murky. *The one under the counter - did not faded and the water also got murky. *14 months later I empty the contents and and laid them out on my deck in a kitty litter box of sand and the same soil...9 oak trees in that yard. *I live in Fl. so lots of humidity - it was around Thanksgiving that I laid them out a screen across top and some more soil.. *March 28th the day of his death - I uncoverd them *The window sill sample was still faded and rubber band still Ok. *The undercounter sample was still almost the same. *Nov. (one yr. later) after I had put them there. Rubber band on window band - brittle. Rubber band undercount - brittle. *BUT the bills were discolored from the soil - and I did not see this kind of discoloration on the pictures of the bills in the books. What did I learn? The money had been protected from the constant murky river ---the bills had not been in the water for 9yrs...if so - Coopers found money would have be yucky and very discolored. Rubber bands didn't tell me anything. But the bills shouted - "I was not in the water for 9 yrs".
  15. Yes, that would be the one - It is on the Columbia on the WA side. East of the park there is Another probable location - I was told that the property went down like that - and with the parallel roads in 1979...and the rails went along there also..Unfortunately with time being a priority for my flight back I was not able to go to this other area. It meant going back to the highway and back down to the river. I never knew if this other site was more in keeping with my memory. This is the memory: Two parallel roads with a steep incline down to the river - I could not see the banks of the river below. The car was parked pointing West - and this is why I didn't think if was Wintler - The direction in which we were parked - there was no park or any construction going on. It is my understanding that this park was finished in 1978 - but I did not see it....hence why I had some doubt. Also to the North - there was like a berm and the tracks - he told me that over that berm was some nice homes....just what I saw at Wintler was not dead on, but things change from 1979 to 2000 - that is 21 yrs. When I got out of the car - he pointed West of Portland and said he used to know a man that lived there and he pointed to the East and told me that just beyond the trees which were blocking the view was the Portland Airport Tower. When we left there - we went back to the main road and then back down to the water. I understand that you did not have to do that at the park in 1979. But we go back to the water - to a place I can't describe - but it was obviously a commercial area and we were at the waters edge. He got out and I got out, but we didn't stay and he didn't say much - he told me what this place was, but it is lost to my memory. It appeared to have something to do with loading or fueling. The next stop was the Motel on the river at the Bridge....did that Motel ever have a LION on it or the words Lion? Just had a glimer of something in my memory just now.
  16. I will sit back and be quieter, but the post I made today was an appropriate post as the actions of Ckret not confirming the information in the files is important. You could have done this in a private email - to state that I am an unhappy person you do not know me....I just want the truth to be told. I will only post when I have somethng valid to contribute or need to ask a question.. I will post when the FBI agent makes a big faux pas - he has continuallly made statements and had to change them - He is an FBI agent - and he should be willing to verify information he states as fact. Perhaps you do not know how RUDE he has been to me on the phone - the last time was the ONLY time he listened at all and I had to beg. He has never apologized or admitted to a mistake he made to the press - stating that I was informed of the DNA evidence in Feb of 2007 - I was NOT told until a few days before they went public in Oct. or Nov. of 2007. How do you make that statement made me feel and affected how others perceived me. Judge not until you have been judged. Other information for your eyes only is in a private email - perhaps they might make you understand my obvious alienation toward Ckret. Sorry I have been a problem to anyone.
  17. Since you prefer not to verify your information with Himmelsbach or the Co-pilot - this results in too much speculation...as to DZ. Why not do the right thing?
  18. All I knew was that the distance between the to darn big things was not any 5 1/2 in. and that 4 1/2 was stretching it...I do not know anything about chutes or airplanes - so I guess I should just butt out and listen for a while. Wish I could find someone in thsi area to show me these things.
  19. QuoteHi jose, " If I remember correctly, the NB-6 container had a shorter pin spacing than a B-4/B-12 container; I 'think' 5 1/2" for the B-4/B-12 & 4 1/2" for the NB-6."
  20. OVER my head - we need a local person in the Panhandle area to show me these things. We could talk all day on puter and get nowhere - I have never seen a chute except in picture. The only thing I have ever seen or touched about a chute is that part Duane kept in his desk drawer - remember that I didn't know what it was until the guy at the garage sale told me when he bought it for a quarter - this is before I understood who DAN COOPER was a yr. later.
  21. Thank you for the other pic of the hardware Maybe the connections of the two parts had been altered - neither pic was dead on - touch and feel is important to me - more than my memory of the item itself. Very shiny - very easy to release - no butter fly look or triple look as the 1st one. Your last pic could be right, but it will be the feel of it in my hand and the feeling of releasing it.
  22. ASK Himmelsbach - he has said it many times in interviews and to others..............you really need to address somethings other than the written record - remember that after an exhausting day in the field these agents had to go back to their desk and do a WRITTEN report.
