Pictures were made in Salt Lake and Tahoe. The pictures made in Seattle are inside the room - so I don't know if that will help. I do not know of any way to document the trip - other than the company whice is no longer in Seattle and I am sure its records like everyone elses have been stored or purged after 25 yrs. I don't know if it is possible to get hold of old credit card charges???? I am trying to find one of the individuals who was there to see if they remember the date. I just don't know how to find them or if they had any reason to remember the date. The company files should state an introduction to the new computer system was made at that time - this was the purpose of the trip - to tour the new systems and to see the home office. It was also an earned trip --- (managers only) but not the convention which had been held earlier that yr. in Vail, Co. The only thing I have going back are my photo albums and I did that tonight. FOR THE FIRST time I am going to change something I have said. I have always maintained that it was FALL of 1979, but in Salt Lake City on our way to Seattle there is a picture of me wearing shorts. I had based the time on the dress I wore to a function in Seattle. I know that it now had to be Sept or Oct - I do not remember when it starts turning cool there - since I have been living in the South since 1980. The trees are green and at Lake Tahoe I wore a long sleeve semi sheer top in a fall color. I know it was after Sept 1 because my daughter was back in school. The new date for the Sentimental Journey now stands as Sept or Oct. I had always said Fall and thought it was late fall, but it would be very early fall. There was no activity on the lake or the river - so the tourists and kids where gone. The motels were not full. I have a tendancy to say it had to be Sept for me to have shorts on in Salt Lake.... Unless Oct of that yr was unusually warm. You Guys asked me to go over my posts - but I prefer to go back over the memories and I started with the album...verify my memories...see if I have missed anything...remember that I knew about the Commutation of Sentence, but didn't have clue what it meant. I am taking my time...just one thing at a time. Maybe I will find things this last look thru that I missed before or that might be view differently after several yrs and with new knowledge. To ALL: I still have the ring and I do not know the date of the purchase except to tell you that it was Sept or Oct. Warm enough to play golf, but not cold enough for a jacket...trees had not turned. It is a blue carbon copy and has faded. 2 pages. Remind me in a few days to do it or I will forget...I can also take it to a friend who might be able to do a better job than I could. I can also make a copy which would enhance it making it easier to read - should do that anyway. In Seattle it was something called the Mens Club - I think - it didn't sound like a Hotel name. In the area of the Dalles it was a Holiday Inn (this is were he disappeared and came back at check out time dirty) - he was so late that I thought he might have had an accident. I remember it being green and we were on the backside - there were wooden picnic tables and it was an old motel in 1979 backing up to a wooded area. Howard Johnson was also green. We spent a lots of time in motels on the road because of the territory we covered for sales so they all run together - just not something that stands out in my memory. The backside with the picnic table does because I was pacing thinking he had a wreck. The hotel was before the dam we crossed over. He pointed to a road or said something about a road that went South - that went to Hood River and mention somethinge else about knowing someone or some cabins, but time is taking it's toll. I do not know where we crossed over to WA. - I just remember it was high and on the East side (the passenger side) I was able to see lots of boats. I now know this was not the Bridge of the GODs - after finally seeing a picture of it. I have to presume it was the Bonneville Dam...but the picture on the web site didn't look right...but I was there in 1979 and I didn't know when the pics were made. San Diego Aircraft Does anyone know what was going on at the place this particular site refers to in the 60's. http://www.spawar.navy.mil/sti/visualmedia/photos/otc40s.html Sorry I do not know how to do that clickey thing that makes the site come up. He was probably not working with planes, but may have been doing janitorial work - it is the exposure to planes and any knowledge he may have acquired other than what he had already learned from his brother. Frankly I think the exposure to the schematics and his interest in aircraft was enough for him to have had the necessary information on the plane. GUYS I NEED YOUR HELP: Anyone who can help please do so and see what we can find on these. Some of you live in California and one of these places is there. 1. In a conversation with the ex-wife she told me that they or she or he worked for a place called San Diego Aircraft. This going to be somewhere between 1962 and 1967. According to the state of Mo. he was incarcerated between April of 1966 and March of 1968. The spill she gave to me at the time I was writing notes - San Diego Aircraft work, Jefferson City, Boulder Cp to N.Orleans to Altanta. If she was giving this to me in any order that would mean that someone worked for them prior to Jefferson. So concentrate on 1962 - 1966. San Diego Aircraft work - does that mean it was in San Diego or just the name of the Company. The names to look for are Duane L. Weber, Dewayne Webber, John C. Collins - during that time span he was known as Collins. In a private email I can provide her name if you have a source for the employment records (again the FBI could easily do a SS search where we cannot do so). I also have her SS. number. If someone knows a PI that would not cost too much for this let me know. IF any of you have a way of researching this - Please do so. You can communicate with me by private email thru the forurn on a private basis. The FBI wants something - take it ONE step at a time and see if between you guys, a PI and myself - what we find. Doubt if any of us will be able to verify employment during that time. The FBI - should be able to verify the employment record of John Collins - I do not have access to those files, nor do I draw any SS from that number nor did Duane. Those yrs come up blank on the SS report. You attorneys out there - how can I access his SS under John Collins? If we can put him working for an airline plus the fact that the brother was a Boeing consultant - I have no documentation on that but it is a known fact. If John has died it is probably in his obit. Again not something that I can check-out. 2.The other air connection is So. Airlines - not sure what the So. is but I would think Southern. The notes read Seattle to Moreno (Reno). A name of a man James Lanaman - Not sure of the spelling. She mentions Brinks in connection with this man. She was talking - I was taking notes as hard as I could. It was one of those early morning calls 2 or 3 my time, but midnight her time. She must have been sitting there remembering their time together and she wanted to talk - times she had been tipping the bottle. I did not interrupt her - I let her talk and wrote it down - I would sometimes ask her a question, but that usually interupted the train of thought - I got more by letting her ramble and remember and go back in time. This same conversation she mentions Frisco (assume that is short for San Francisco). Also Laguna Bch. - know I didn't spell that right. When they divorced he paid her way to CA. because that is where she wanted to go??? She ended up in San Bernadino in the early 70's. and would remain in the area until her death in 2006. Wonder why she wanted to go to CA to live? If none of yow want to help that is OK, but I thought maybe enough people read this forum that there might be someone out there who can help. I am passionate, but I am also objective. The FBI is the one with the set mind. How many times have I asked them to produce something that proves he wasn't Cooper? Objective - I look for things to prove to myself that Duane was not Cooper - so far anything that has presented itself has been ruled out. I see only two alternatives at this time. One of course is just to let it all go and the other is to use the one avenue of pursuit that I have not wanted to use because of the embarrassement it would cause my family. I had the plan in place before that chute was found and I held off because I thought I might not need to go the course, To find a private investigator that I could afford and that could do it all in a short period of time - he doesn't exist. It would take 24/7 for over a yr just to go thru the mass accumulation of paper, tapes, emails, photos and documents - to pick and choose what he (probably a ninja turtle who doesn't even know who Cooper was and too young to think 1971) wants to check out. He then would need to travel to check out some of it and need the expert opinion of various professionals. I don't have that kind of time or money. Anyone know Donald Trump? Maybe the forum can talk him into vesting into this - he can afford it. By the way I think I found Duane's daughter - if it is her she died in 2005 at the age of 59. Sending for a death notice to see who the mother and father was. I cannot make things I held in my own hands and saw with my own eyes go away - if I could replay those memories back like a video camera - the world would know that I am not crazy - that I have been objective and UPfront. Is there not something that you remember in your life that you will never forget - but no one was there to see it, but you and no one is alive that might have been there and could verify your story. Perhaps you were molested as a child and too young and afraid to tell anyone. Someone told you a secret and that person died, but no one believes that person would ever do such a thing, but he showed you Proof that he did. Imagine your frustrations when you tried to tell someone and they treated you like you had lost it - that you weren't all there. How would you feel if they talked about you in front of their children and you are just going about your business and a child points and says 'There's that Crazy Woman." I know what I know and NO one can take that away from me. Maybe Duane played a cruel joke on me but - that is the only other explanation and seems illogical since it took 17 yrs before he got to the punch line and then I didn't "get" it. You nor anyone else has walked in my shoes during the 17 yr marriage and the 13 yrs since his death, but maybe the FBI needs to put themselves or their loved one in my shoes. What if it happened to them? If it were not for my strong background regarding right and wrong - I would have let this go a long time ago. Because of the things I saw and heard prior to his confession - I will never be able to let it go...until someone puts something in my hands that proves he was not Cooper. ALL of that is garbage and you know it...that is a 19 yr old making banter. Get REAL. I tell WHAT I know and what I have learn from people who knew Duane and the records I have accumulated. I am not twisting anything - the FBI does the twisting. I am not the FBI and I am not a detective. All I can do is report a crime and tell you what I know - the investigation is up to you....I have offered you what I have - "copies" of anything I have. Most of this the FBI should have. Tax Reports, copies of criminal records, copies of military records, statements and tapes from others that have given me information. I have already been told that the records on John Collins may have been purged..but they forgot what I have - maybe this piece of paper was Duane's ACE. NO one CAN purge what I know and what I have. Either the FBI is more naive than I am or they don't really care - and you are just into this for the publicity. I offered in earnest what I have and you poked fun at it. What does the Federal Bureau of Investigation stand for. They take information and investigate it. HOW am I supposed TO ACCESS the FBI files to find the statement that Cummings gave to the FBI in Nov of 1971? The FBI knows very well that the hotel changed hands 3 times and is no longer there. SO ALL there is regarding this - happens to be what is in the FBI FILES. I get a notarized copy of his statement and you will just say it was what Aunt Gertie said. I can get him to give a statement of what transpired, but you won't accept that. The FBI had the opportunity to talk to him when he was in the states and didn't do it. I am a ordinary citizen and I AM NOT allowed to pilfer thru FBI files - but you can bet that if those cigarette butts are there - that I would find them. HAVE you ever contacted the office that is supposed to have those BUTTS? No - obvious from a prior post you made. A private detective cannot do much more than what I have done - what I need is a high powered attorney to force the FBI to do what it should have done yrs ago. I don't know an attorney that would take on the FBI - I don't even know if that is possible. But I do know that common sense tells me that when I present as much circumstancial evidence and clues as I have that there must be some way to make someone do something beside make a riddle out of what I have told the FBI. I contacted you when the night clerk was in the state for health reason and to see his wife get her citizenship. You made NO effort to contact him. I can provide you with his email and then he can provide you with an address - as he is now back in China. I told you he was going back March 6. This night clerk was working at a SMALL hotel just outside of the gate of the airport - It was Eve before Thanksgiving - the hotel was NOT full. The FBI DID come after he CALLED THEM. While there they interview himself and another guy and I believe the owner. The FBI TOOK the hotel registration which ( consisted of several names and tag numbers on a single page). He was asked not to handle it and the agent put it in a plastic bag. I understand there were two agent - the interview last over an hour. I told the prior agent about this and I have submitted it in my long emails and mails to the FBI. In the beginning he was living in the states. He saw an article that Margie Boule did for her paper and she had pictures that had not been released to the media at that time...he immediately recognized Duane and thru Margie was able to contact me. We both checked each other out before ensuing a conversation. I had already gone down that road with individuals who made false claims...such as the taxi driver ...when I got thru with him he did not bother the FBI or me again. This man was creditable. I gave the FBI his contact information at that time - they obviously were not interested in 2000. You weren't interested when he was in the state this yrs 2008 and NOW he is back in China and you want a statement. I will give you what information I have and you NEED to get his statement. Now the excuse will be - he is in China and we don't have an agent there. I can try to get a notarized statement or letter from him regarding this. He sent me a email WHICH I GAVE to you except for his contact information - AGAIN you were not interested enough to follow-up. I told you that he signed in as John Collins and that I would provide enough writing samples of Duane Weber covering a period of yrs to match the signature on the card with....to put Duane in Portland on the 24th of Nov. 1971. NO RESPONSE UNTIL I GO ON A PUBLIC FORUM WITH THIS INFORMATION. In another post a statement is made that those claiming that individuals are Cooper are not you providing information to support their claims. I have tried, but I needed the support of the FBI also. For me to have an individual write these things down and give them to you - how could that be evidence unless the FBI actually obtains this information themselves. For 12 yrs they have known how to contact Ann and for 8 yrs the night clerk. The ex-wife was alive until 2006. The step--daughter who told me she knew Duane was Cooper - was alive when I contacted the FBI about her statement - she died 2 yrs later. The statement from Anne the woman who overheard Duane's strange ramblings - a statement was taken by Doug Pasternak and the FBI wasn't interest at that time. One of the posters is correct - I don't know where she is now. Up until a couple of yrs ago I did... All of this evidence you are asking for now. Much of this could have been given by his wife of the time...I had asked the FBI to wire me and let me go talk to her - but, no that is not how the FBI does things. She died 2 yrs ago, but not before trying to contact me - I am sorry that I lost contact with her those last few yrs - but I could not give her my phone number after I remarried because she had the tendancy to call me at all hours - I enjoyed her calls and our talks, But, I had a new husband and I respected our time together. I can provide you with that and have been willing to do so also the information that proves they are one and the same. QUESTION: What handwriting does the FBI have of John Collins except for his prison records...... I have the original COMMUTATION of sentence and we know that Duane was in Jefferson. I know that Jefferson never gave me straight answers. I had several communication with them and they would say that John Collins nor Duane L. Weber were never there and I would get another communication they found the information. I send someone to Jefferson with a letter to obtain this information on my behalf and they are turned away. Now the Jefferson is being torn down - WHERE are their records? See another Delay that has probably resulted in LOST INFORMATION. I also enquired about other inmates in this prison. One time the individual says - yes a certain person was there and the next time it is no. I was referring to the Tommy man. It is a fact that Ray was there so no one can dispute that. Duane is released on March 12, 1968 and Martin Luther King is killed on April 4, 1968. Duane and Ray know each other. Ray gets a call from Collins at a place he is working in CA. (recorded documents) while he is on the run. In March of 1968 - a politician who supported the King makes his annoucement that he is going to run for president....he dies a few months later. Not that this has to do with anything - just noting that a LOT happens in a 6 month span after Duane gets out of prison. John Collins disappears after 1968 and Duane Weber is reborn. I have been told a strange story regarding 1968, but I have not been able to verify it. You can also take this back to 1962 - and walk it thru about John Collins - that is when John was born - Miami, Alpha 66, Chicago-Maifa, New Orleans, Companies formed as fronts to payroll individals giving their time to the "cause". What kind of training did these individuals get? Wasn't one of the known training ground Ms - that is where the John Collins SS originated from. I am just giving a summary of some of the ODD places my search has taken me: The "COMMUTATION OF SENTENCE" has caused me to revisit all of this in the past 2 days. I have explored every thing I could for the past 12 yrs and I am tired. It is a NO WIN situation with the FBI - the agents are too young to think back over the ys. Most of them were not born until 1970 - I do not expect them to be able to think or correlate information that is so entwined in our history during the worse yrs of American politics. Evidence - NOT because I haven't offered it up, but the FBI hasn't wanted the evidence - . Why didn't the FBI interview Anne and the nightclerk? THEY were available - Anne in 1996 and the girl who did the garage sale, they might even have been able to find the man who bought the parachute part off of me, the man who knew Duane as John Collins and threatened me, the night clerk when he surfaced in 2000, the step-daughter when she was living --- too many things left undone until it is too late. There was a man who contacted me and told me Duane WAS taken OUT of PRISON by the FBI - this was unbelievable to me. He got upset because I didn't believe him - he took pictures he sent to me of apts where Duane lived with the wife when he was training for his "assignment". Duane was taken out of the prison - I just didn't believe it - it seemed too unreal. I couldn't make the time lines work. In other words the story just didn't not seem believable. The one thing that did make me think he was telling the truth was the fact that he put Duane in specific location ---I told him that Duane was in Prison at that time. We argued back and forth about this. I spoke to the Wife of the time and asked her about this location - she said it was only for a couple of months while they were on the run from the FBI - but her accounting of the time was about 6 months off of his. I felt that age and time had run time together for all of us. Might explain why a man threaten me when I contacted him about Duane. This man knew Duane as John Collins. I told him what Duane had said in the hospital and that since he had known him from the past he might be able to help me. He got real upset and told me that "John knew people in high places and If I wanted to be around to play with my grand kids that I needed to destroy everything and never look back." All I did was ask him how he knew Duane and what Duane had told me in the hospital...this was before I went public and when I first started trying to figure out what this was all about in 1996 after my learning who Dan Coooper was. It was strange that this man got very upset and nervous about my inquiry in to Duane's past and the fact that he knew Duane as John. It explains why Duane suddenly left Atlanta and went to S.C. when an agent from Mn transferred to the company he was working for. Maybe Duane was afraid because this man would have known him as John Collins. One of Duane's co-workers told me about this. Now, I will remind everyone of something I got HeHAwed about. James Earl Ray...Duane knew him and so did his wife of the time - and supposedly the two wives shared living quarters for a period of time in Jefferson although I have never verified this...but I do have PROOF of her saying that she knew Ray was set-up. I do not even remember HOW this came up in a conversation. Suddenly knowing what a commuted sentence means OPENS up a WHOLE can of WORMS. Now I feel like this man was telling me the truth - when all I could correlate was his putting Duane in a location that the "wife" forgot to mention which she did verified. This man's story was the only thing I ever found that put Duane in a Parachute. I thought it was fabricated and maybe it was. He found me - I didn't find him. Maybe he isn't crazy - I just found his story unbelievable...maybe it is. Duane was also known to have Mafia connections from 1962 to 1966, but I could never verify this - perhaps this is what it was all about. Maybe he was a snitch. Duane's brother was able to put him at the Fontaine Blue in Miami as he was seen there the night before Bay of Pigs all dress up...this was a family member who told the brother about seeing Duane that night...yet Duane would have been on parole from Canon City in CO...he couldn't be in Miami...maybe he was...maybe this explains the prison photo of him in a suit --we could never figure out why that photo was in a prison file. Might explain why a man threaten me when I contacted him about Duane. This man knew Duane as John Collins. When you finanace something you pay interest. Right? There were no loans on the two car purchased in 1972. Someone before implied this and I will STATE ONE more time. The last time Duane was incarcerated was FROM April of 1966 and his sentence was COMMUTED on MARCH 1968. THIS WAS HIS LAST INCARCERATION. I have written documentation and tapes - NO ONE knows where Duane was from Nov 1971 til Feb of 1972. No one has provided me with any solid evidence that Duane was NOT Cooper. NOT one. I am asked if I have looked at the possibility that Duane was NOT Cooper - that I am not being objective. Requesting something that might ecplain Duane's sudden windfall of money does not means I am "ordering' Ckret to do something. I am asking the FBI, not just Ckret to prove to me that Duane was NOT Cooper. I am also putting the pros and cons out there just like you. I can back up what I posted about the cars and his employment with paper documentation, tax returns, criminal records, tapes of conversations and other written documents. I made a post that explains why I had to leave a certain subject alone - and will let it go at that. if the FBI wants to see the records they can do so. Attention CKRET: We need help : The 1972 cars had to have been paid for with CASH as there are no loans recorded ...and his income prior for 1971 showed he was NOT existing. He was not working in Jan and Feb of 1972. A robbery that would have paid for two new cars would surely have made the papers. This crime had to happen between Nov.1971 and late February 1972. I can't give you as many details on this return because of privacy issues - regarding the new wife, but will give you the information on Duane: This will have to be a different format - I have to separate it out. Income: American Income $2387. Tx American Income $8813. At. Ray Griffin Ass. $140. Ak (this one is ODD) This is the man I tried to find But do not know why the W-2 would read Little Rock, AK - I was told Miami. Shows taxes paid on New Cars and Taxes paid on the old trailor he owned plus Ad Valorm and real estate taxes. Lots of Dr. bills and New Glasses...Large medical Bills. Shows a sale of property stating a loss. The 1973 tax return shows the purchase of 2 new cars. BUT 2 new cars were also purchased in 1972 with one showing on his tax return and the other obviously on the ex-wifes return. I also have family verification (one of the daughters came to Atl. to help her mother move in may of 1972). Pictures were taken of the new vehicles. The ex-wife"s car would be on her tax return. He was also paying alimony to the ex - I don't know if he really did. Note: Of the cars purchased in 1972 - one was his and the other was for the wife - who left him after her return to his side in February of 1972 and then they divorce in May or June of 1972. He remarries that same yr a few wks latter. Note: That the 1973 return shows the purchase of 2 new cars - yet he had purchased new cars in early 1972 with virtually NO income from 1971. The 1972 purchase may have been an enticement to get his wife back. There ware NO loans on the 1972 vehicles purchases. Repairs and remodeling of the new home. All of this was an issue in a divorce settlement of 1977 and liens against his renewals in 1982. I am NOT at liberty to discuss this issue. The matter was settled. I struggled with that from 1996 until 2000 when I went public. Prior to that it was "just 100 words and a lot of crying and not believing and telling the FBI what I did know". I did try to prove to myself that it was not true - but, every turn and every memory and every new thing I learned - said YES, he was Cooper. I was approached by individuals who looked to profit from what I was going thru and those who simply wanted to tell the story. Prior to 2000 I did not know all that I know today. Even the FBI led me astray - by saying he was never in this prison or that prison and I would be holding a paper documentation that stated otherwise. That made me MAD. I set out to learn more - WHY would the FBI lie to me? I did not and still do not understand that. Perhaps if they had been upfront with me and a little more thorough in their cursive investigation of Duane, I could have let go.,,When I met my recently deceased spouse I had ever reason to let go and I really tried. Everytime I learned something new - that information would just be more of the same. I have asked the FBI many time to prove to me he wasn't Cooper and they can't do it. If he wasn't Cooper - where was he on Nov. 24th 1971. NO ONE KNOWS. Even when it was fresh in the minds of individuals who knew him...they didn't know. The ex-wife says she had left him. His employer said when he came back to work he had an injury he got cutting limbs from in front of his trailer. His sister begs me to leave the past in the past and doesn't answer my questions. Long conversations with the ex-wife...when she had had one two many. A conversation with his step-daughter and step-son (both of those conversations only confirmed my belief). Retracing his steps the best I could. Interviewing friends. Searching for documents. I so far have found NOTHING that says Duane L. Weber was NOT Cooper...and the WHY is always there with every post and every conversation and in every question I answer. I have examined the other suspects and cannot find the same consistent circumstancial evidence I do with Duane. I have tried to convince myself that it is all coincidence that everything I learn is coincidence, but how many coincidences does it take to make a YES. 17 yrs of marriage and 13 yrs of research - and everything I find and every corner I turn says he was Cooper. If I could turn ONE corner and run into one conclusive piece of information that said "Duane Weber was NOT Cooper" that would be a good day. The FBI's attempts to use the DNA were flawed. Had they not lost those cigarette butts this would all be over...pro or con. If there was conclusive evidence that the tie was indeed Coopers - multiple individuals seeing the tie on Cooper just as multiple witnesses giving the same description is required. One day I will tell the story about the tie - but in the mean time the FBI needs to show a very detailed picture of the clasp to the media and release what it is made of and any inscriptions on it such as Mfg. and alloy. After 40 yrs I expect no one will remember unless there is picture of its owner wearing that clasp. How many of the clasp were made and when were they made...WHY haven't they done this? If they have this information WHY haven't they released it. Yeah - I am stuck on that Clasp.,,because of the story I was told about that tie. If that story turns out to be true - then without a doubt Weber was Cooper. I look for things to not be true...everytime there is a new suspect - I turn that suspect upside-down and inside-outwards. I spoke with Mayfield a few times - he is not Cooper. I spent hours on the computer with Grey who did the N.Y. Times article and I spoke to the brother of Christiansen - he sent me a photo and a letter. McCoy - I did all I could do to convince myself he was Cooper, yet the evidence said NO. BY the way CKRET - how did the FBI agent show that tie to Ms. McCoy and his mother? A picture? They did not live in WA. If the agent simply showed them a picture and he made a book basing his belief that McCoy was Cooper on that basis - SHAME ON THE FBI for allowing that to happen. I have asked myself almost everyday since 1996. I always get the same answer - Yes, I would have turned him in prior to 1990. If he had told me after he went on dialysis or if I had connected the dots at that time - 1990. I don't think I would have turned him in at that time. He was depending on a machine to stay alive - he couldn't run - and if I had also known he had spent over 17 yrs of his life behind bars along with that knowledge. Under those circumstances -- NO, I think I would have kept his secret...until he died...Whatever he was in the past - he did live a decent life with me and I believe that the life he learned to live in the 17yrs of our marriage warranted his being able to live out what time he had as a free man. Got a chuckle out of that one. I know the basics - such when I sold real estate - the MLS went on to the computer - hence I had to learn to navigate that program. I had to learn to use a program that made my flyers and since I am an artist of sorts everyone loved my flyers. Actually that is all I did and I did that from the office as I did not own a computer until 2000. "Cooper" made me do it! I started learning how to search the Web. It takes me a long time to learn to navigate a site, and if I get a bug I have to have someone else fix it. Right now if I go back and use spell check I loose the complete post - don't know how to fix it so I post and then go back and edit and hope I catch my own errors. Updating that virus program - well, it still ain't working right. I spent hours and hours and just gave it up. Have to get the Geek Squad on it at a $150 wack. I can run programs and do searches - that is the extent of my abilities. Did have the photo thing down until I had to buy a new printer and I can't figure that darn thing out at all. You asked and you got the answer - Now help me fix my online thing so I can better use this site. I have to sign back in after I do a private email... The insurance industry is different than lots of jobs. He was looking for a job but he didn't let the office know that - We had lots of business sitting in the mill which would generate income for some time. He just knew he had to get out of that area - and he had to get my mind away from it...I think he feared my memory - that he said too much and did some strange things on that trip --that I might put it together. We had a place in Loveland or Greeley that we spent a lot of time together - maybe he feared someone from there might put it together. One of his clients, one of his co-workers... The money found generated a lot of interest in the West, but not back in the East. Take for EXAMPLE the chute being found recently. A friend sent me dozens of large articles from the papers in the WEST. But what did we get her - a 3 inch 1 column article on the page 3. Maybe this explains a lot. Mostly ALL I have is my word and what I have told over and over. My opinion is that he was not PLANTING the money - he threw it away because it was no good or when he went to the hiding place that he couldn't find it and maybe his digging around caused it to dislodge later on that yr. I have several theories, One is the paper bag he threw into the Columbia at the Lion Inn before we left Wa. And because he told me the money was useless - when the media reported that the money had been found. The other theory also makes sense. Earlier that day he had stopped at a place and told me to say in the car - it was early and I went to sleep - I do not know how long he was down at the river, but i was TOLD to stay in the car. He got something out of the trunk and put something into the trunk when he came back...perhaps the shovel we kept there. Now couple that with his saying in the hospital that he put money in a bucket and he couldn't find the bucket - What if his digging around was close but not close enough.....but left it more exposed and able to be washed out to the river? WE WERE NOT AT TENA's BAR....we were across from and slightly West of the Portland Airport on the WA side. While in Seattle he left one day - it was a free afternoon - he did not get back until the banquet started that evening. I had gotten dress and was worried about him. I laid ALL of his clothes out for the banquet. One of the associates told me to go on down to the Banquet and that he would show up. We must have crossed paths - he had gone to the room and showered and changed. I will NEVER know what he spent that afternood doing. I will say that the next day he took me to the Eye of the Needle for lunch and bought me a beautiful ring in Black Hills Gold that I wore on my pinkie until a couple of yrs ago. He seemed VERY HAPPY that day. There is also the night we stayed at the Dalles on our way to Seattle - he left that morning coming back just at check-out - he never told me were he went or what he did - but he had to wash up and he kept a jumpcover in the trunk. I can only theorize just as you guys can - and all I can do is note the events that occurred on that trip. TOO, many things TOO many unexplained things. Note the he even took me to the airport - the back side on the premise that he was taking a short-cut to were we were going - with the map I was looking at - that road was NO WHERE NEAR nor could it have been a short cut for our destination.
