I shouldn't even get on here and read some of these things because I get so upset I can't sleep. Galen Cook called me for a long time and many times yrs ago and I also told him about the prints on the plane - that Duane thought he left prints as per the dream. I told him about the changed prints. This is something you guys don't know about Galen Cook - he is or was a union attorney. Remember the insurance companies that I listed Duane working for that I said were fronts for coverts hired to show ligitimit income....It was a company for the Unions. Politcal involvement to pull the strings... with one WELL know State Governor of the times. One individual who contacted from this group yrs ago - tried to get me to sell the rights to what I was claiming and I didn't feel I had enough proof to go there. They were smoking me to see how much I knew. I have a note that I wrote and concealed where it would be found if I died in a strange manner. It named a certain individual - as I was frightned of this man and his connections (it is not the man who threatened me, but that man was connected to this group also). Now we have a Union attorney - who harassed me for a long time using this - smoking me to see how much I knew, No one would listen to me about this so I was not a threat...but, I suspose they took me for a complete idiot. I even asked and questioned Cook about his connections to the the Unions and that I felt that all of it was connected. Now he is using this for his story. I can only go by what I am reading on the forum as my computer will not down load that newpaper. I just need a copy of the article. Galen was real SMART - he kept his communications with me using a calling card at that time and not emails. I believe there were some email at a later date. He used me. You must mean the new subject, but you forget that there are load Masters in the Smoke Jumping arena and more likely have jumped with large payloads (equipment). Your Mr. Cook was talking to me long before you ever came into the picture...so take that for what it is worth. He is building his subject around everything he has learned from viewing this site and others. Heaven forbid the suspects and stories that are surfacing now, but then I told you this is what would happen. I HAVE a RIGHT to explore these so called theories just as everyone else has. When I receive a phone call telling me about a tie - then I have a right to investigate that. It is a FACT That Duane knew James Earl Ray and that the two wives shared a residence for a short period of time. Then along comes my learning what a Commutation of sentence in 1968 means - Put it ALL together and most individuals would also take that and investigate it as much as possible. Most OLD crimes are solved just this way. As I have said before - before you call the kettle black (me crazy) put your credentials on the table or hold your peace. This forum is not about ATTACKING me or TRYING to discredit me - it is about exploring every aspect we know, can speculate and can learn. Only an attorney would ask a question like that. What verifiable evidence do you have other than he said, she said and the way he lived his life....when using circumstancial evidence to convict. At least I held the ticket in my hand and the stub and saw the money bag (yes, it was the money bag). His familiarity with WA without a map, his quick exit from Co after our trip and the money found in 1980, which he knew was worthless before he read the paper. His making arrangement to go back to the safety of the South one day after the article appeared in the papers about Coopers Money being found in 1980. His background and then oh yes - she said, I said and he said. Exactly how else does one find the truth and verify what other's have told. Just like a court of law Mr. Attorney - you build a case...but then you aren't a criminal attorney, right. Other circumstancial evidence, such as wife's convenient 3 month absence from Nov of 71 to Feb of 72. What the wife told me - you can't put her on a stand, but I can prove things she said. Photo's provided by the wife - unusual photos that put the glasses on him and in a brown suit with his hair dyed just a short time before the hijacking. Admission by her that he had contacts and business in WA. His knowledge of WA without a map. His strange side trips (without me) during this trip. The things he did on that trip and things he showed me and of course "he said " but, (he isn't here to vouch for me). His strange behaviour when the books came out in the early 80's, growing a mustache and letting his hair grow out. The fact that he pointed out the place that McCoy was killed - he blamed himself for his death. His familiarity with the Boeings and knowing the details of the plane and having access to those details. Oh, that would be a "he said" also since this was told to me by his brother. The fact that they purchased 2 new cars in 1972 - but he didn't make any money the yr.before. He has been a closer match to the composites than any other suspect. Including the composites that never made the media in 1971. The artist who told Doug Pasternak about something that he was not sucessful in portraying in the composites... and my knowing what it was without be told. The witnesses have never had access to photo's that would help them to say yes that is the man or definitely not (the photos that have been show to the stewardesses have been shown with a bias toward the subject of the person presenting the photos and without an age at photo time statement). Also there are photo's I have NEVER made public...to be seen only in a controled situation to any witness. The tie - may not be Cooper's tie. The fingerprint system and the fact that Duane was in association with and in the same prison as others who changed their prints in the FBI's "infallible" system. The FBI has NEVER gone to the archives to search for the old prints to compare them - which shoud have been done when Duane came up as a suspect. The fact that a witness has identified him as being in Wa. the night before the crime - another item the FBI has somewhere in their vast file - or as agent Hope said they would have disposed of the registration after checking it out. Duh! The fact that the report read to me over the phone by a local agent regarding the DNA delivery said NOTHING about DNA only that the prints did not match. What happened to the actual report regaring Duane's DNA. Fact - that DNA was not known in 1971 and that tie was handled many times without gloves and therefore contaminated. The FBI found mutiple particial DNA and have been very vague on this. Fact - they did not ask for Duane's DNA until 2003 and they DID not examine that DNA until late 2007 and early 2008 - The FBIi accidentally left that part of the report in the DNA evidence box returned to me. Plus the DNA evidence I provided had been touch and handle by many others just as the tie had been. The FBI NEVER mentions the "LOST" cigarette butts as they were the ONLY known DNA evidence they possessed. When they "cough-up" those butts then we can talk DNA. Until then "No Bananas". DNA - CHAIN of POSESSION OF EVIDENCE - was broken - which means that someone had access to the evidence and it has been compromised...without the cigarrette butts, anything found on that tie is not admissable. The evidence was a package and one item does not stand alone with the CHAIN OF EVIDENCE POSSESSION. There is little anyone else can provide on any suspect at this time other than he said and I said and circumstantial evidence. Don't forget he did confess. This is not what you asked for but no one else can provide much more than this on any suspect. I am sure I have missed a lot that I will be reminded of at a later time. The brain is 68 yrs old - too old to continue to fight the Government of the United States of American - one I have lost faith in and no longer trust to do the right thing..... Since Brian Ingram and his wife have been offering up some of the bills for sale - I would not put it past someone to buy one of those bills at a very inflated price - with the agreement they never disclose the sale. If they produce one of the tattered bills you can bet that it is one of the bills given to Ingram. My personal experience with Galen Cook was not pleasant and because he is coniving I would not put a stunt like this past him. Let us hope that as an attorney that he would not stoop to something like that. If an attorney is a party to showing falsified evidence - he would be in real trouble....wouldn't he? I guess we will just have to wait till they do the reveal. I hope someone sends me a private email with information - Remember that I don't get much where I live about the Cooper things and what I do get is 2 wks down the road. Every time one of the new claims come up - I usually just sit back for a while and see what happens. Not one person has been interested in the Dan Cooper out of McAllen Tx. Nor has the FBI made any mention of this fellow. I would have more of a tendency to go with the Tx. Cooper, because Cook has had several suspects over the yrs...just sounds fishy to me...the Cooper story is HOT now and he goes public with his new suspect. Wait and see - Coopers are jumping out of everywhere now and that is what I predicted when they went public. If these "kids" thought their father was Cooper why did they wait until he died to go public? Why would he tell his kids he was Cooper? Did he tell them late in his life after he knew he was going to die or when they were young? I know that one -" they didn't want Daddy to go to prison". I can just see the story that Cook as composed - he used me over the yrs - as I told him a lot before I found out he was using me. Perhaps I am be fecitious - well, I am. If he has "Cooper" then it is all over, but if I were the FBI, I would really check the information and /or evidence for falsification. Cook may have "cooked" up a story. Why can't you do a good photo of the actual clasp like the one you posted? Please do. I am getting some conflicting information. The picture I saw showed a small curved bar ending with a round flat onlay...really could not see details. Now you post a clasp that is virtually retangular and say put a pearl in the middle, but it was on the end of the one in the "tie" pics from the files or is that one even the right one? Help me out here - round pearl or round onlay? Retangular or narrow and curved. What you physically described - is totally different and no match to the picture that the FBI made public. From what I had been told in the past - there was no way what I had from Duane would match the tac (as it was called a tac by the media and the FBI until you revealed it was a clasp). Please post a good picture of that clasp. Interesting this NEW suspect Cook has gone public with. As you know I do not like this man - he is very abrasive and coniving. He has been writing "his book" for YRS and now is the time for him to come forward with his suspect because of all of the recent publicity regarding Cooper. Strange that he told his kids he was Cooper - WHY did they wait all of these yrs to go public? I spoke with Galen Cook several yrs ago and recently. This is his 3rd or 4th suspect. Now that the new is running around about Cooper he is now pushing one of his suspects - with that many suspects from one man I tend to feel that he is looking for a book or movie, He was very sneaky with me and kept trying to get Tina's address from me...he tried every manuever in the book and none of them worked. I told him that he was the last person in the world who should show up on Tina's door because he is so abrasive and sneaky...not the kind of person she would want to be around. I tried to impress on him that I have accepted her privacy and did not force photo on her, but I have thought about it...many times. She did not want to discuss the matter and simply gave me a courtesy call --- as Galen Cook said --- how did I know it was her. Well, I don't accept that this last yr I viewed a film of the reporters talking to her in Reno as they were leaving the plane - and yes, I now think I was talking to Tina. I do not have caller ID so there is no way I could verify it was her. I just have to take somethings as they come. There was man from Galen's area who contacted me on behalf of his mother. She thought she was married to Dan Cooper as he disappeared around that time. From the things the son told me, I felt that there was no reason to go any further with the conversation. First Snowmman I don't make things up on the fly. If someone suggests something I might play with the idea or stand my ground. Find one thing that I have MADE UP. Remember it has to be taken in context with the post it is addressing...I have played with the suppositions on this forum just like everyone else. BUT, my story stays the same. Working with ideas has led to discovery of evidence on my part and by information provided by others in the forum - such as the Commentation of Sentence. In an investigation this is allowed. This is why I am here. Now, regarding Duane's brother. The FBI is well aware of the brother and his involvement with Boeing. I have discussed the schematic to the Boeings and Duane's access to them in the early yrs. How much access he had in the late 60's I do not know. I have also stated Duane's obsession with planes and his knowledge of them. I am willing to discuss this in as much detail as I can with the FBI, but not on the forum. I have respected the privacy of his family and will continue to do so. What I have stated is the truth as told to me by the brother and most of this is in writing. I do not know if the FBI ever questioned the brother, but they had the information. The brother is much older than Duane - by more than 10 yrs. I do not know if he has died or not but, considering his age and that the last few yrs he has not been able to conduct a conversation with me on the phone and my last contact with the wife, I would say he has expired. He was in his 90's. This is what I mean by saying that the FBI dropped the ball in the investigation of Duane - when the individals where alive they did not go and talk to them. The only one I know they spoke with was the ex-wife of the time - from 1962 to 1972 --- I requested that they wire me and and let me go see her. But, they chose to call her and say they were coming to see her - and as per the daughter she took some drastic measure before that visit. This daughter dies a few yrs later and her mother died in 2006. Exactly what the brother's job with Boeing was I am not sure, but he had to be high ranking and probably and engineer or designer ( he had a degree but I don't know in what field). If someone is acting working as a consulton to the army for Boeing during war time - that speaks very loudly. The schematics were laying around the house - (the brother's words) and Duane had access to his home. It would be very simply for the FBI to verify the brothers yrs and involvement with Boeing. This will prove nothing since the brother can no longer speak for himself, but it could enforce Duane's knowledge and access factors. The brother would have been more than glad to have talked to the FBI has he been contacted. I was able to meet he and his wife in CA. around the early part of 2004, but I had my husband with me and we did not discuss Duane out of consideration for my husband who was in Ca. for cancer treatment. As you are aware Duane's brother worked for Boeing and was an advisor for Boeing in WW11. 1959 is the last time Duane would have had access to information before he went to prison in Colorado for 2 yrs. 1960-1962. Those two statements describe Duane's brother who worked for Boeing. The brother and Duane had a falling after Duane was released from prison and living with is mother in Huntington. Duane was asked to leave his mothers residence by the brother after some gold coins came up missing and Duane was bring his floozies to Mother Webers home. Out of prison and his brother was still with Boeing. I have gone where that question with take you and I got clobbered. I had a picture of Duane made with the wife in 1971 with a brown suit on...and his hair dyed and slicked back. Not too far from the story told to me by the wife and the son - except they told me the tie and clasp belonged to someone else. I took that as his leaving a message as to why he was doing what he was doing --- but you could be more right than I am - it could have been a way of letting them know if he didn't come back. They were separated from Nov of 1971 to Feb or 1972. I know both of these things. I am not the one who asked if he smoked and I know he paid with a twenty dollar bill. Again you evade the questions I ask and make it appear I am an idiot. Question. When Cooper paid for the drink - did he remove the twenty from a money clip? Question. The tie clasp is clipped from the left - this means it could not have been clipped to his shirt, so did the stewardesses note that he was left handed? Question. Even left handed people put their clips on the right way so why was Cooper's clipped from the left? Question. Did Tina identify that clasp as being the one that Cooper was wearing? The FBI's Tie Photo I went back to look at the clasp in the pic from the FBI. Does anyone see in that photo what I see. Cooper WAS left handed. Note that the clasp is placed from the left. Duane was left handed. I have asked the FBI over and over all of these yrs is they noted if Cooper was left handed. What I don't understand is this - If it is clasped from the left side he could not possible have been wearing it.....it would not have been attached to the shirt. Pretty close to the tie clasp. The clasp in the Cooper files seems to have two bars narrow curving over. Interesting that you found so many money clips - Duane never was without a money clip. He liked the leather magnet ones, but I don't remember what he was using when we got married in 1978 - seems like it was metal. I will have to ask my daughter - maybe she will remember. That is something else for Ckret to look for in the files. How did Cooper pay for his drinks and did he have a money clip. I do remember that Duane had one with an emblem on it - early on, but not sure if that was when we first met. CKRET: You seem to miss the reason I was upset with you - not that you dropped the ball, but that you did not listen and you were stubborn when it came to the fingerprint system...even when I was able to name one of the individuals who managed to bypass the print system - and the very fact that Duane knew this man. Also - I have found that Duane did Clerical work in at least one of the prisons and I believe that to be Jefferson, because it is in the prison records regarding the Commutation. He was a paper pusher and very good with a calculator and his math. He was an excellent typist. I am still trying to access archives of newspapers and county records, but it looks like I will need to make a trip to find what I am looking for. Someone else might look right over it - I have a pretty good idea of what I am looking for. This is also true with the FBI files. I understand that there are over 40 feet in the Cooper files so that means that only a very small fraction is in the FOIA. You still have never answered my questions about the night clerk and the hotel. You ignore that. The interview has to be in those files and as I told you this was not just a routine check - the night clerk called the FBI the next day. The owner and the night clerk were interviewed and someone else who worked there, another young man, who I do not believe had contact with Mr. Collins. If Duane was pulling the WOOL over my eyes as has was stated then why take 17 yrs to do it and then tell me something I did not understand 10 days before he died. I think it is rather difficult to feed an individual parts of a story over a long period of time - parts so vague and over the yrs that one would not connect them unless they had a reason to do so. This means that the "investigator" is missing the mark. He or She doesn't have a clue what they are talking about. 17 yrs of clues - but they are only clues IF the recieving party has suspicions or some knowledge of the subject matter. Having Dumb Blonde Syndrome - I didn't get it...until I found out who DAN COOPER was. The name he said that day in the hospital. One yr and 2 months later I find out Dan Cooper was the name given by D.B. Cooper - then everything he said made sense, but he wasn't here to answer my questions. Had I understood the significance of what he said - I would have been looking for the hidden things...but I did not know what I was looking for....since I didn't know who Dan Cooper was in 1995. If you are directing this statement at me then you need to meet me and talk to me in-person. My story does NOT change - it remains the same. It is others who take the words I say and make it sound like something else. Such as you stating that Cooper ordered Pizza - ridiculous. I have not fabricated any part of my story - but, I have explored with the forum other things. Only talking to me in person can you know when I am making a supposition or exploring an idea or story I have been told. Such an example - the tie story - I was told a story by two individuals and I have and am exploring all of that to find out if there is any truth to it. I noted that CKRET - did NOT say that the stewardess stated the tie and pearl tac found where the ones that Cooper was wearing? Why? Because obviously he has not found a statement made by the witnesses stating that they were one and the same and that they actually saw these items on Cooper. None of the above means that the tie story is true or not true - and I for one cannot say it is - it was a story told to me by two others who knew Duane and this story may have NO connection to the skyjacking.

We have been told that Cossey packed this chute - thru the media and from Ckret - it was also stated to me...BUT, I have a serious question to ask about this. If they were getting the chutes from the base - how or why would Cossey be packing a military chute. I thought that the military did their own packing and didn't sublet that out to non-military...so someone help me understand this. Obviously the FBI did not get the chutes from the military. Right? If this was a military chute - how AND why was it in non-military hands....I am sure only Cossey can answer this question and I hope that Ckret has pull with him to call and ask this question. Remember that Duane had something in his possession - actually two items connected together - that I have thought might be part of the harness hardware that goes across the chest and the ones in the groin...as it did resemble the pics sent to me of those items. Would it be possible for someone to have purchased an item to attach a package or satchel to himself and the chute hardware. It might not have been designed to be use on a chute, but did the same job of securing the package or satchel to him or to a belt he was wearing (a harness type belt like the ones used by window washers and firejumpers and powerline workers.) If you will recall it has been stated that that Cooper kept his raincoat on - just exactly why would he do that unless he was concealing something? Was he concealing the belt and something else attached to it - such as a walky talky or some other piece of hardware that would help him to locate his drop zone? Duane alway had a CB and it saved our lives - once in a white-out and another time when we got stranded on the highway in WY during a snowstorm. When we were in WA in 1979 - he pointed out one of those things (that let the planes know where they are) - (hats) you guys talk about, but I do not remember the conversation surrounding this.... A serious question for Ckret - could Cooper have been wearing one of these belts or some other paraphalia under his coat and jacket? Duane had this odd contraption that he said was a back brace - lots of loops and cords and staves. The back braces I have seen are maybe 6 to 9 inches wide - this one was more like a corset. He never wore it, but wouldn't let me throw it away. He did not have a bad back and NEVER complained of back problems...so his being attached to this thing seems weird? Would he have worn something like this to assure he would not break his back in the jump? This sounds stange to anyone who is reading it just as it seems strange to me that I am even mentioning this "thing". At this point in all of this - maybe my mentioning some of the "odd" things might help provide some answers. Crazy as a bat! - HE HE HE, but then maybe not - ! Your question about the knapsack is very valid. So is the question I asked months ago about the satchel --- the media and the FBI referred to a satchel and now all you hear is briefcase. There is a hell of a lot of difference between a satchel and a briefcase. I have described to the FBI a satchel that was in Duane's possession up until shortly before he died - the colors and the straps and the works... It would be very nice to have the witness clarify this - if the FBI doesn't go back and ask these witnesses what it was - then they are dropping the ball again. Florence seems eager to talk to the media...except I can't get a valid phone number on her nor a valid address. Yet, others can find her...I thought I found her but the phone number is not in her name and the person who answered said they didn't know who she was...??? A lot of valid questions that requires data from the witnesses and or their statements. The interpretaion question is very good - Why would Ckrets's be any better than Himmelsbach's? I do know that Ckrets interpretations are NOT based on the knowledge of 1971 - because he argued with me about the FBI's printing system and how it was in 1971. He never has admitted he could be wrong. Well, he is wrong and if he were to talk to the people who developed the system he would know that what I told him is correct. Not all prints put into the system were checked against prior records unless there was a request or need to do so. I even went so far as to state one such case, but it was like pouring water over a ducks back - he is right and no one else knows anything (How old was he in 1971?). Sorry, Ckret - but what I just said is true. Until the FBI can swallow a little pride and admit to having made some mistakes this case will never be solved. I want Duane's old prints from his prior incarcerations compared to what they had on the FBI system in 1971. Thanks and I do believe my patience has been worn thin with the FBI after 13 yrs of asking question and not getting answers. For instance it was stated that nothing has been hidden and that everything is out there. But, all of those 40 plus boxes are not out there ...such as the inteviews with the night clerk and an interview taking place in Jefferson State Prison the following yr. Two agents were assigned that project, but it seems like there are no reports in the file. The same with the interview of the night clerk and the owner of the Inn - why can't they find those? Those interviews will help me - number one is that the night clerk said Cooper signed in as Collins - he remembered this because he made a joke about Tom Collins, the drink. Jefferson state is the prison Duane was in the last time...Who in that prison contacted the FBI - perhaps thinking if he told them who he thought was Cooper that they might reduce his sentence or give him special priviledges? These are things I am asking for and not demanding - if I was demanding then a letter would be sent to the Bureau and to the media. That to me is a demand. It is time that I am heard by the general population before all who may know something are dead. I am pushing for personal reasons to clean up all of the "stuff" I have - either discount it or take another step. Arrangement need to be put in place for this "Stuff" and I sure would like to know the answers to question I have - like who is Tommy G----? As for the clasp - I have taken that step but don't think after 40 yrs I will get anywhere, because the family is cloaked in secrecy.. and privacy. I still want and need a very good photo of that clasp with a filter - it needs to accompany the letters. I for one would not be able to say I had ever seen a clasp that looked like that from photo the FBI has produced. Cooper did live - he survived to live anohter life....and if for some strange reason Duane is not Cooper then he definitely knew who he was...otherwise how did the acquire the items that they had. I realize I am the only one who saw them and my word doesn't mean anything in the theme of things. But I know what I saw and what Duane told me. If it was just his confession that would be discountable - BUT, there are the things that I saw with my own two eyes 5 yrs before he died and a yr before he died. I cannot get those things out of my mind. I cannot believe that he staged props and made comment during our marriage for a confess that would come yrs later. Thanks, but I have been retired for several yrs - I just kept my email address. I am not looking for financial security nor have I tried to sell my story for financial gain - I will state again that should anything ever come of the story about Duane - that most of the proceeds will be use to set up scholarships for inmates of non-violent crimes with above average IQ's. TO Orange and anyone one else - I do not understand why you are picking my words apart about the clasp. The story is the same - nothing has changed. I simply want to know if the stewardesses actually put that clasp on Cooper in their reports as it has never been addressed. If my words can be misconstrued to say differently then that is their problem...I have been told a story about the tie and clasp...and I am trying to seek out the truth about that story. If the story is true then the tie was a throw down - it does not mean that he was not wearing it --- I have no way of knowing that anymore than those who would turn my words into something they are not meant to be. My question is simply to Ckret - did the stewardess put THAT particular tie clasp on Cooper or was it assumed that the tie and clasp the investigators found was the one Cooper was wearing?

This is EXACTLY what I am talking about - I have NOT changed my story, but you take my words and twist them. If that is not attacking then what is? I am saying nothing I have not said all along - but asking for specifics that have not been given. I have never seen a news clip showing the back of the tie and no replies until the one Ckret just gave ever addressed that. Remember I live in the South - we do not get all of the new they get in the West and then what we do get is edited. - I cannot watch them on the computer as I only have dial-up. The fact that the back of the tie clasp has been shown - I HAVE NEVER seen that nor have I ever read a statement that the clasp had no markings. What Ckret just disclosed is the FIRST I have ever heard of that. If that makes you ill (jaundice) then so be it, but speak only for yourself, not others. I for one have never said that McCoy's intials would be on that clasp - but I know someone who does keep harping on that and a story about a medallion. I have discounted most of his story (accept for his claim of having known Duane). I want to see more detail of that clasp and you know I have a reason for that.. Perhaps there is no truth in this other tie story either, but I do not think 2 individuals made the same story up. The first time the tie story was related to me, I paid it no mind, then yrs later another person relates the same story to me. So it bears checking out. The other thing I want to know is about the prints - your mind set is that it could not happen, but it did happen with another individual in the same prison with whom Duane had a connection. This means to me that prints from Duane's old files need to be pulled and checked against the prints in the FBI's computer system. This was NOT usually done unless the FBI had reason to do so. The print system was not infallible in those early yrs...if incorrect data or corrupted data was entered...proof of this lies in the story of an escaped ex-con (who Duane knew and was in residency with) from that same prison. His Commutation of Sentence - I want to know more about that since it involved the SAME prison. It has been 40 yrs therefore I see no reason for my not knowing WHY his sentence was commuted. I also do not see why the FBI is not able to run a SS check on his John Collins SS # to see if he or the spouse worked in or around a airport...as I was told by the wife of the times and his own accounting of having worked in such a capacity with the wife. There are still two serious gaps in Duane's history. 1945 to 1950 - I believe he was living as Dwayne Webber or another variation of his name since his intake files with Folsom and SanQuentin mention this name. The next gap is 1962 to 1966 - most of which was spent running between N.Orleans, Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City. He was also in AZ. CO, FL, CA, ID, AL and WA during this time - he sure got around. Amazing how a man could be married dragging kids and a wife around - living under an alias was able to do all of this in 4 yrs. Did you know that when he was arrested 1966 in MO that the wife had a N. Orleans address? Did you know that they stayed in Bloomington, Mn.? for a period of 2 months - during a time he was not suppose to be a free man? Was this part of his Commutation? His wife of the time verified that part of the story...said that she forgot to mention it because it was only for a few wks while they were on the run from the FBI. ???? This is the part that gets me ---and the rest of that story I will let lie for now. Too many unanswered question? You have stated and the reports in the files state that Cooper kept his overcoat on - I have yet to read a statement from the stewardesses stating the clasp you have in evidence is the clasp Cooper was wearing. [reply It is a tie clasp. Probably purchased at a department store. . Happy, you don't know that, we don't know that until we get a better picture of the tie. The clasp appears to have more "style and class" than the common clasp of the 70's. If a family member of a certain individual can put that clasp on a certain man at any given time before 1971...this war is over. [reply That's fine, you are entitled to your beliefs... but then stop trying to claim that you are objective when you clearly aren't. ----------------------------------- Are you trying to locate this man in Texas - Robt. Cooper who claims his brother Dan was Cooper? Well, I am. That is trying to be objective. Put up or shut up - Do your part in the investigation rather than knocking what anyone else is doing.. How about your own suspect - got anymore conclusive evidence?. Being objective and trying to be is difficult - I am open to other suspects, but so far NO one has presented a better suspect with as much research and co-incidental facts as I have acquired. Would appear that most of the other individuals throw out their claim, get a write up in the papers and do nothing to substanciate the claim. That means they have a LOT of DOUBT or they would put the money and the time into backing up what they say.

Page out of Book by Max Gunther is attached: D.B. Cooper What Really Happened 1985. Max and I corresponded for a long time about his talks with "Clara" and what I had found. Max talked to "Clara" 6 times - so much of his story is not based on fact. In six conversations much was said - he also transposed parts of the story to tell in a way that would sell the book...Max and I discussed these things by phone and letters. (I have every last one of them). What I want to start with is the fact that over 1 yr. after Duane died I went to the library to find something on Cooper. There was only one book in the library on Cooper. This is the page showing a map, but Toutle is written in pencil and circled -there are other notations on another page. I recognized the handwriting as being Duane's - and the person had to have known where Toutle was located --- the mark is dead on. This is where my story begins - a mark on a map. Until the day I read that book I knew little about Cooper - but, his handwriting in two places in that book and multiple stories actually told to Max by "Clara" matched much of what I already knew. Max and I discussed this in detail -because most of his story is fiction. We played a game - true or not true...Max liked to play games. In the end what I knew and had been able to extract from someone VERY close to Duane matched the truths in his story. We both came to the consensus that his source and my source had to be the same source. This was done by my taking certain pages and telling him my story about that incident. He would admit or deny changing that part - or that it was an untruth or a truth. After a trip to Ca. he ended the long standing telephone and letter writing relationship. I will someday explain why....but, for now that is not important. Hope you find this interesting. Perhaps if I walk you down "Discovery" lane you will come to understand why I know Duane is Cooper. If there are markings on the back of the clasp and the FBI has "never" released photos of them, then what markings are on the back and how do you know they are there? Aggie and Orange are assuming I don't have the FOIA files. Let me assure you all that the photo I need is not there. Most jewelry has markings on the back of it...14K, 10K, 14GP, and the other multiple markings such as a manufacturer or a number. I have infront of me two sets of period cuff links and one clasp and one tac. The cuff links are not marked but the tie tacs are marked with a Company name...and some print I cannot read. The pearl in the onlay - does it have a design in it such as little squares or is it just one big old slab of onlay? The type of clasp behind the onlay also tells a story - which can be found with careful research. With any luck we will find out who made it and how many were sold...surprised the FBI did not do this 1971. There may now be no records to search except to pole collectors...they know their stuff.
