Especially when the syntax and manner of posting is almost exactly like the banned persons. We often speculate this - and we are sometime wrong. On the old thread - I was once accused of posting under two names. I wasn't. BUT, when I was able to access my husband's account - I found he had been following the story all along...I knew when I walk into the room, he would suddenly click off of what he had on - I do not see very good at a distance without my glasses on but it looked like DZ. Guess what I found in favorites under his name - this site and 101. The two sites I had posted too. He never asked me about Duane or our marriage and we did not discuss Cooper, but he knew what I was involved in. I did not know his password, but it was written on a piece of paper inside the virus CD that I had to renew in Jan...because he had set it up in his name... and with his email. He knew I would one day need it. I found the fact that he had been following my postings - comforting - it meant he knew why I might not be having a good day. He understood far more than I thought he did. In all of our yrs he never ever brought Cooper up - he made one vague reference in the last few months of his life that indicated he felt jealousy. Think about the companies that deliver supplies and clean the planes when they land. The delivery of the meals - (they USED to provide meals). The clean-up crews. Most of the deliveries were made thru that lower aft-stairs from the ground and not thru the terminal in 1960's.Check it out and you will find this is TRUE. Clean-up crews entered thru the aft-stairs. The 727 was use in lots of airports that did not support the much larger planes with small terminals. This is a main reason the 727 was used for such short hops even with it's fuel consumption. The plane was designed with this in-mind, but it had limitations. The above information I knew before I ever discussed 727's or knew anything about them in regards to Cooper. Duane told me about he and his wife working for company that provided this kind of service. I understand they did this work about 2 wks...I can say the employment would have been between late 1962 to 1965, then again from 1968 until 1971. The 1962 era would have been in the John Collins days...anywhere USA - but mostly in Kansas and Missouri. The 1968 to 1971 era - would be concentrated on the Kansas and Missouri area and then S.C and GA. Since Duane used so many aliases - it might be a VERY GOOD IDEA for theFBI to run an employment check on the wife during that time (she was not involved but he did say they did this about two wks.). I have the employment records for Both of them from 1969 to 1972. I do not know what some of these companies do - I suspect one of these employers provided this kind of service...such as a catering Company. THE FBI has had this information for yrs. I hope I wasn't the reason for all of that - I have been in the attic for the last hour - REALLY in the ATTIC. I went off line - after I made a post, so I hope I am not responsible for all the problems. When I made that post and I was very sad. It left me remembering somethings - I stored in the attic when I remarried - They were so dry they were crumbling, but the papers had been stored in plastic. I thought maybe there might be something I had forgot about. SURPRISE I found the letter of resignation Duane wrote in 1980 and a letter he wrote to a friend who was living in WA. The money found by Brian Ingram was found on Feb. 10 1980. Duane's letter to a friend in WA is dated Feb. 24th 1980. In this letter he states that he is resigning from the company and talks about "fading off into the dust". I have mentioned before to the FBI and in the forum that the two things were very close together. This is MORE than co-incident. A man resigns a very good job 2 wks after Brian Ingram finds that money. I wish I knew the date of a special on a program aired about Cooper and the found money. Duane left CO. very quickly after that...remember that he made arrangements so I could not see that program. This is too co-incidental...but I respected my marriage to a very wornderful man - and stored my Cooper things...but, I have them out now and what I remembered was dead on. YOU OWE A LOT OF PEOPLE AN APOLOGY FOR THAT STATEMENT! Maybe in todays times - but NOT 1971. Clip-on ties - regular ties were too hot when Air Conditioning was NOT THE NORM. THINK 1971. I was dating a Delta pilot from 1971 to 1975 - he wore a Clip-on Tie. Some of you guys make is sound like - well, if you wore a clip-on you were NOBODY. Maybe the FBI had BETTER check out the STORY I told them about the TIE. Clip-on's did NOT indicate one's standing in the community nor their wealth - nor their education nor their occupation. Sometime it was a matter of convenience and comfort - no air-conditioning and most jobs in 1971 required a tie be worn. I do not know why the forum is suddenly stuck on the tie and referrences to the Kennedy Family. 1. Clip on ties were worn by many in the 60's and 70's. My first husband and father of my children sold insurance - he wore a CLIP-ON TIE. This was of course debit insurance and he was working out in the field...collecting and writing. 2. Clip-on ties were worn in the home office of a very large insurance office in Jacksonville - these guys were Directors, Vice Presidents, etc Yrs 1966- 1967. 3. 1967 - 1971 - all the sales staff wore clip-ons. We had several men working for us - no regular ties. 4. THE CLASP - was Mother-of Pearl. Not considered femine by anyone in 1971 - someone is trying to bring the 90's and 2000's into play ... remember think 1971. 5. I have found the postings about the tie - almost eerie - because of story I was told about a tie in Duane Webers' possession.--it is only a story and not something I can verify without going public and I have not wanted to do that. Some admirers would tug at their ties or shirts...hence some took to wearing cheaper things and like the law enforcement wore clip-ons as a safety factor. 8. Better Watch Out - I get it everytime I throw in the conspiracy thing . With all of the research I have been doing regarding the fact that the FBI does NOT answer some questions that seem pertinent --- does give one reason to pause. I have been busy researching the 727 crashes and I did find something interesting regarding the Salt Lake City 727 crash in 1965...and there were 3 crashes within a 4 month period during 1965 of 727's. 3 more 727 crashes in 1969 and top that off with 1 crash in 1971. Did the FBI investigate this possibility - that the hijacking might have been related to the fatality rates with the 727's?

YES it does! He had a sisten-in-law who lived in Phoenix. His wife "of the times" told me that he left her in Phoenix one time while he went to CA and WA. He had told her that he needed to go take care of some matters involving an inheritance. But his parents had died in 54 and 56. The yr. of this I do not know - except I believe it to be around 65 or 66 when they had bolted from CO after the FBI came looking for Duane. There was a car in CO - this car was stored in a warehouse when the FBI came looking for Duane - they left the car on the side of the road, but obtained another one for their escape. No you missed my reasoning - he needed the money to help the individual or survivor. He needed to survive and not get caught if he was to meet his goal. 1. The child was born around 1946 - Duane was sent to SanQuentin in 1951 -52 and was released 1958. In order for Duane to have seen this child at the age of 8 - it would have to have been when he was incarcerated. Now I know I am taking a stab at air, but what if his wife or child or both had been on any of the above crashes - there were fatalities. There was also survivors - where they compensated enough by the airlines? Their death might explain why I have NEVER been able to find them. Duane mentioned his daughter - Zona several times and the mother"s name was Edna. Although I was told an attempt was made to reach his daug. between 1962 and 1965 --- I have no proof of this ---again a story told to me by someone who knew Duane. Mexico was a chosen Destination by the Hijacker. Chicago was an address on some mail recieved by the family from the mother. Salt Lake City - Duane knew well and it was obvious he had some connection to the Mormon religion. He did mention a funeral in Salt Lake. Los Angles, CA. A place Duane was known to frequent often and what is the location of San Diego Aircraft Corp...and Souhern Air Lines in 1960's. These are two places that Duane or one of his aliases was employed at one time. These crashes - what was the origination , stops and destinations.? Dear 377: During the Viet Nam war the 727's were used to dump supplies - I do not remember off hand my source on this. Duane had access to Boeing Schematics - not aware if the 727 was in this - the access was available to him in the 40's and the 727 was not even on the drawing board. He may have had access between 1958 and 1960 - but I am uncertain of this. I do not know if the brother was working in the same capacity nor what his affiliation with Boeing was. I remember Duane telling me about a man named Roach who lived in CA - I don't know how much truth was in the story. Since it was hearsay and the source unreliable (obviously) I cannot elaborate. This is something I really wish the FBI would check out for me...BY THE WAY CKRET I am sending you a PM regarding this. Somehow Duane knew an awful lot about planes - he could describe the plane and tell me about the different attributes and faults of that particular plane. Maybe he aspired to be a pilot and his two attempts with the military ended that. I will also Note something in his letter from Camp Siebert - he states that the chemical end (referring to the war) of it is all right. Note that the tone of the letter indicates regret and mentions his brother in the same sentence. If there is a FBI profiler reading this they might be able to make some sense of the above. The FBI in 1971 went to Jefferson where Duane had been incarcerated until 1968 as John C. Collins because they recieved information that someone from the prison knew who Cooper was. I have ALWAYS wanted to know the name of this person and if he was an "associated" of Duane's during the Jefferson yrs. Was he John Collins - which is the only name the other prisoners knew Duane as? All so called the "Johnny Jar" guy. If one wants to read some of the JJ Maloney accounts regarding Jefferson - you will find some of the inmates made change selling magazines and comics. One of these individuals was mentioned as selling foreign magazines...could that have been the Dan Cooper Comics. The man selling these items was known to Duane and his wife of the time. Did he sit on the right or left of the plane? Which hand did he keep on the briefcase of "flares"? I would keep the opposite hand on it to be able to use my good hand for protection and or to eat and smoke with, but that is me. Cooper also asked that he not be woken by the maids and a late check-out was arranged. Duane was NOT a violent man and knew how to use a gun. He was an excellent shot, but did not use a gun to commit a crime. I did not meet him until 1977 so beyond that I cannot speak for his demeanor. He indeed used his mind...and had no need for a gun to control anyone as he did not expect to survive. There have been others who have spent yrs in prison that were geniuses. Then one day they learn what it takes - Cooper learned from his mistakes...intelligent and desparate, but not a genius. How did he get away with it ? He changed himself - he survived and got a second chance. If he was ever incarcerated for another crime someone would know he was Cooper. Precisely why he paniced when he got a DUI in Ft.Collins, Co in 1980....after the kid found the money. I had never seen him that drunk....I just remembered when this happened (another co-incidence). If it had not been for your post - I might never have remembered when he got that DUI. If I am shouting you will know it...as anyone in the forum will tell you...I am not always good with the words. Just stay with the guys and review the thread, keep up with them and make some of the useful posts you do, but don't hold them back. I understand about 1/3 of what these guys are talking about so I try to stay out of their technical talk, but it is necessary if this crime will ever be solved. I am appreciative of all the help they have provide - such as the big things in Wa that detect planes - Duane mentioned them and pointed in the direction of where one was - I don't remember it looking like a cowboy hat. Surely a middle name is... well, pretty obvious? Alternatively, I understand it's fairly common for aliases to use the same initials as the real person. Someone D. C. ... possibly a 2-syllable last name as well. First name... maybe also a 1-syllable abbreviation of a longer name... Don, Dave etc. Dear Snowmman: This is garbage - Duane Lorin Weber used the alias John C. Collins, John Chalk Collins and John Claudia Collins from 1962 until 1968 - he was even incarcerated under that alias at Jefferson and released as Duane L. Weber. You are the one who is not thinking 1960's and 1970's....the alias thing is a waste of our time. He had a drivers license and SS #'s under those names. If a name was chosen at random at the ticket counter - think - Dan rather than saying Duane and Couuuper rather than saying Collins as he was holding in his and the cigarettes with coupon in large lettering on it. Duane pronounce Cooper as Coouper in the hospital. He cooed the name. Now put that in your random thoughts. It at least make more sense than what you are saying. An alias is chosen for convenience and availability - no amount of thought went into a name that was spit out at the airline counter and identification was not required to buy a ticket. Terry, I caught the same thing, but I have found that over the yrs that you can't tell the FBI anything they don't want to hear and it has taken this forum for them to actually listen to people who know what they are talking about. CKRET: Definitely -Cossey's analysis of the chute should be reviewed by others - such as Ralph Hatley. Ckret, why not get in touch with him... He is part of the older parachute world and might give you a new perspective. He lives in the area and is a nice man - Bet he would be willing to look at that chute and give you an opinion. Cossey doesn't really like to be bothered, but he did send me the information I requested a few yrs ago - but, was adamant that he did not want any other communication. I have questioned over and over the receding hair line...Duane had a very high forehead - it slanted back and if you looked at him straight on it appeared normal. If you were shorter than he was with the forehead slanting it appeared to be receding and also not has high. If you were looking had him from above - the slant would make you think he had receding hair. I have tried to show this to the FBI in pictures and felt the witnesses needed to see photo in all angles and explanation of his age at the time of the photos. As for the gray hair - the stewardess said that it appeared to be dyed - perhaps it was very shiny as that is what the temporary dyes of 71 did. Most women can and did in 1971 tell if someone dyed their hair. I find it necessary to ignore the DNA on the tie because of information I have disclosed before and information that I obtained in the past 3 months. I think it is time for the FBI to address that tie - once and for all, plus the sachell (briefcase) and Duane's unknown yrs...was he in the service serving UNDER someone elses name - This DID happen during Viet Nam? The schematics for the plane - and other planes that came before it. Working for Boeing. Having been part of the supply drops that used this with the 727 or a similar aircraft. Many answers to that question. Be interesting knowing how he got his knowledge, but we won't know that until the FBI finds Cooper or what is left of him.
