OH No Richard - have you not enough to do in your retirement. Still selling your story I see. There is NO WAY it was dumped there by a dreging machine used at Lake Merwin and gets dumped into the Columbia - think that thru. The pack would have been torn apart and it would never have survived over 7 yrs that way on the beach. Please realized that the money was protected for several yrs due to the condition of the bills found in 1980 - . Reference my experiments in the other forum that I did with acid soil, rubber bands and dollar bills...I did this test yrs ago...and I got my answers. The US Treasury is the best source for the answer to this...using the printed dates of the bills found. Maybe I have already been there. That money WAS NOT in the Columbia river for 7 1/2 yrs. If there are NO bones with that chute - there is only one way that money got to the Columbia and remained in the condition it was found yrs later...It was thrown into the river no more than a yr before it was found. You are new and very knowledgable - must be FBI or expert who has been asked to engage. I think the fact that you have said what I have tried to say to the FBI is great. Most do not know that there are two stages to the stairway. One is the lowering of the door and the other is the extension of the stair way which will drop with weight or a mechanism to lower it electronically or manually. Just what do you call several times? You asked me to send MY research on Duane's background...what does that say? - Weber's background was never studied. The FBI did not even know that he used even a third name which I took from the SanQuentin file. The missing yrs.? Who was he and what was he doing? Yes, I do not have any pyhsical evidence (that I am aware of) if that is what you are referring to. But, lots of circumstancial evidence...and the things and people the FBI could have found when I first contacted them in 1996 - who were still living and clear of mind - they were NOT questioned. Such as his sister. Now most have passed away...and all that is left are things they told me - because the FBI didn't do it. Why in the world do you keep trying to mess with the time line? Over and over and over they have said that pressure change or oscillation occured at a specific time and it has been proven that only Cooper leaving the plane can create that...they even duplicated this with the sled. In one of the early shows immediately after the crime a witness who was on the plane - said that Cooper had a "pocket-book". Not a retangular brief case as the media as consistently claimed. In my early discussion with Himmelsbach - I told him about somethings that Duane had. I describe a medium tan canvas hand bag with leather handles and other leather hardware on it. Bigger than a shaving kit and smaller than an overnight bag...but may have been classified as one for 1971. When I got rid of that thing he objected, but I won. I would call this item a satchel. The bottom was from my memory about 6 inches wide and it was about 17 inches long and the depth would have been about 9 inches or more. It tapered up at the top and closed with a zipper with double leather handles. Seems like the leather was a dark brown. I do not know if it had a strap. This is from memory and it could have been larger...somethings fade with time and stress. Is this the brief case or the pocket book the witness was referring to? I believe he was Mr. Simmons. I have not flown a lot and when I flew to Kentucky for the first time from Va. I was able to see all of the things I knew and point out places I knew only from the ground. I knew the area from the ground - and thus it was easy to spot from the air - even with the changes that developement created in a 25 yr span of time. Note that I had also never driven a car in Ky. when I was 17....some individual have this ability - others couldn't find their way around the localfairgrounds. They were shredded because they were down when they landed - this damage was NOT caused while they were in flight. Which I presume comes from the "that's where cooper walked out of the woods" comment. But if there is a corpse under the canopy they found, then he never did walk iout of the woods... [replyI don't think there was any paragliding in those days. AFAIK that sport started when people started using square parachutes to launch off mountains with - i have never heard of any paragliding under rounds, ever. (So he may have known about paragliding, but that would have years later?) I don't know what it was - it was 1978 somewhere around Boulder Colorado up in the hills and these guys were jumping off the cliffs and they would glide up into the air and do all kinds of stuff - like big birds flying around. Duane knew everything they were doing and how they controlled them. One of the men doing the jumping - commented on Duane's knowledge of the sport because he did not seem to fit in --- this was a very young crowd. I agree. I am just waiting to see what they come up with. If it is Coopers chute - then the FBI needs to do several things. 1. Do an extensive search for Duane L. Weber - fingerprints. This mean pulling all of the old prints to compare with what is in the system. In 1968 the corruption within the system was wide spread and not all prints were checked against the warehoused prints unless there was some doubt. Remember - corruption in the state system at that time. Weber was released as John C. Collins from the Jefferson State Prison in March of 1968...and was never incarcerated again...yet, he continued to commit crimes - and prints left at these scenes caused NO red flags...when they should have. 2. Think about the DNA. There is not one report that the tie that was found in the seat next to where Cooper was sitting - was ever on Coopers' person. The tie was removed from the evidence room and taken out of state by an FBI agent to present to McCoys family...as per the agents book. Note, that the cigarette butts have not been seen in yrs - did they disappear around that same time? There are too many unanswered question regarding that tie and the validity of the DNA. The tie without the butts is the same as NO evidence at all in a court of law. 3. Find out what Weber was doing from 1945 to 1951. Where was he and who was he and what kind of work was he doing? Also did the FBI ever check out the aviation employment from Ca. that I provided to them...? Ckret, you are lofting and you did not return my call so I am posting here for all to see. Remember that if Duane is NOT Cooper - he knew who Cooper was - otherwise there would be NO way he could have walked me thru this...and remember that my story has stayed the same since 1996 when I first contacted the FBI. This is my main concern - If it is the right thing - treasure hunters will be all over it. Or are they going to hire a guard out there until "they" decide what to do. There is something wrong with this picture and I do not have a good feeling. The FBI never likes to admit they could be wrong - if it disappears over night then - guess what -they don't have to admitt that they have been wrong. I understand that Carr continues to PUBLICALLY say that Duane has been disqualified. HOW MANY TIMES do I have to tell THE FBI about that damn tie , Carr? Why, Carr, don't you talk about THE MISSING CIGARETTE BUTTS? One FBI agent had reason to "loose" the butts because he took the tie to show to Mrs. McCoy. Mrs. McCoy didn't go to WA. Please - INVESTIGATE THE TIE - DO NOT DISQUALIFY DUANE L. WEBER....UNTIL THE FBI PRODUCES THE CIGARETTE BUTTS THEY CANNOT DISALLOW WEBER. Just got to let it out right now. "On the fip side, maybe the FBI will then come and confiscate all your assets" NO WAY. By the way I can't get the reply and quote things to work for me. I am just trying to read ALL of this. I went outside to pull weeds until dark just to get away from the phone. I did not get a chance to eat until I just shut it all out. If that is Cooper's chute then the things Duane showed me and the things he said - it is all there. Funny thing I noticed on the map "Grist Mill". In one of the books it mentions this and the fact that they thought someone broke into it. Is this a false memory or is it infact in one of the "Cooper" Books? I am hoping against all hope that this is Coopers chute - but the last 13 yrs has its ups and downs. If he did use the pack after he landed to put the money into as someone suggested then this might be what he left at the tower behind the shed further on down the road. That would make sense to me. He has to hide the money (or most of it) and come back for it later. Who knows - if it was me that is what I would have done. By then he has changed clothes and looks like a ranger or fisherman just out doing his thing....walking the lines to FREEDOM. I still can't download the maps and things. Cooper got two main chutes and two reserves. My phone has been ringing non-stop since 6:30 AM this morning central time. I haven't been able to open any of the attachments on the site. But, I will state that if this turns out to be Cooper's chute it is a precise fit. If this site is closer to the Powerlines to the West of Amboy or if it is also accessible to the rail lines East. Both the Power lines and the rail lines take me to the points near Battleground and Dollar Corner which seemed to be his focus on that 1979 trip. I lean more toward the rail lines because of somethings he said, but just below Battle Ground from what I found on a map takes me to a place he took me too. I did not have the time in 2000 to go to these places or to check them out because no one understood what I was talking about. I later found this area thru help from this forum and some maps that were sent to me. I am also not a good judge of distance and we were working with a time constraint in 1979 when I was in WA. The tower - a place he buried something - was below Battleground - but, he had me so turned around that I didn't know where I was, but he did. I do know we went North from the old 500 for several miles and then turned West and then back South and then to I-5. I assumed from something he said that we were South of Battleground when he took me to a place that some towers used to be...in the woods down a grown-up dirt path. When he didn't find the tower he thought he had missed his turn, but at a few moments he seemed to be satisfied that he was in the right place and told me about the shed and tower that used to be there and that he buried something behind the shed...this is far below the landing site as I can determine from what I am reading on the site and the news. He pointed out power lines (which I could not see))and said you could walk for miles under them (I have to assume there was no growth there in 1971), He made a statement about powerlines and that you could walk for miles - powerlines intersect with the pipeline which take you toward Camp Bonneville. But a little story he told me makes me think he came down to that area by rail - a pump car, but I have no proof of this just a joke he made and the fact that the rail line crosses the pipeline. That pipe line crosses both the powerline and the rail lines before continuing into Vancouver...also the power line crosses the pipelines West of Battle ground. I know that he had me real turned around in that area and there was no way I could follow it with a map...... I do not know if the site of this chute is closer to Amboy or Bald Mtn. The map I have has NO detail, but does show the rail line going S from Amboy and the powerline going South from Bald Mtn. My computer is on blitz and I cannot down load XXXX. I am not going to worry myself about it until the FBI says that the chute was one Cooper jumped with. If it is then there is no doubt left in my pea brain that Duane was Cooper. I know what he did. We were living in Ft. Collins when the money was found. I had picked up the newspaper and laid it on the dining room table commenting about the article on the front page but did not have time nor interest to read the entire article. That newspaper disappeared - he took it with him. A couple of wks later the TV was having a special on one of the programs like America's Most Wanted and doing a special segment about Cooper. I wanted to see that program and suddenly out of the blue Duane has arranged for us to go to dinner and to a bar on a WEEK DAY NIGHT - I remembered commenting to the wife (they owned and ran a local dry cleaners, but I do not remember their names) that I was sorry I wasn't very good company because I really wanted to see that program and she said she did too. Within a couple of wks Duane annouced that the company was taking his territory away from us and giving it to someone else. I would find out yrs later that he resigned. He was making fantastic money and doing a good job - I couldn't understand why. Now in retrospect I realize he was on the run - he was afraid someone would finger him and he wanted to get back to the annonmity of the South. Within in two wks he was gone - leaving me and my daughter in Ft. Collins. She was a senior and I was not pulling her out of school. He left in March and came back for her graduation in May and to help us pack. The job he took in AL was with a company he had not done well with in the past - it was a nowhere job. We were drowning - and this is the one time I caught him doing something I did not approve of and that was the end of it or the end of the marriage - he had a choice. You might say an Ultimatem. We then went to ATl. - where he was able to get back on with the same Company we worked for in Co. We went to Va. to live and work - the job was fantastic and we were both doing well....but, he grew this large head of hair and a real bushy mustach (this was around 1984). When he was asked to take the State Manager position he refused telling me that he had to "keep a Low Profile" ... I did not understand this, but with some nudging and encouragement from me and the Regional Director he did start a crew up and he was so proud of himself - he was successful. Then came the old kidney thing with the whallop it dealt him and in 1988 he was put out on disability. Something else happened during this time frame - he bought a book. (He never read books). When I asked him what it was about he said just and old highjacking (I thought he meant trucks) and nothing I would be interested in. I asked him to let me take a look at it when he got thru with it. Later I asked him about the book and he said one of the guys at the office had it. There is NO WAY he could let me see that book - he was afraid I would figure it out. After all he had said quiet a few things on that WA trip. In 1990 after he started dialysis - he managed to get a drivers license with the Old false ID of John Collins. (I found out when the Highway Patrol came knocking on my door wanting to know if I knew this man - it was picture of Duane). Even after the authorities managed to find him he still managed to get the new ID. This ID along with other papers was found in the van I sold after checking it out very well - because he had told me about keeping things in the van before he died, but I didn't find anything. I have no idea what else this man found..but a story told to me by one of Duane's antique and flea market friends was told to Doug Pasternak. The gentleman who had a business across the street from the shop told me much later that he thought I was OK financially because Duane had a lot of cash. He said that he had walked in the shop one day and Duane was sitting there with stacks of 100's - about 50K. I never saw that money. It could have been in the van or maybe he spent it over the next 5 yrs. We did not seem to do without the necessities of life and the shop seemed to be doing well. I was still selling Insurance. Maybe he had to get that old ID for John Collins because someplace he had a saftey deposit box - I was told that on a business trip to Tallahassee that he left as soon as they got there and did not come back until the next day......this is in the same time span I saw the ticket stub, the ticket and the bank bag. It has been suggested that maybe he committed another crime and that would account for the money - but not the TICKET or STUB or the bank bag. If he had a saftey deposit account - it would have been in ATL. and prepaid. The FBI has not done their job. I know Duane was Cooper --- I have absolutely no doubt. As I have said before why doesn't someone go to the horses mouth before it is too late...there is only one person left alive that can give us the exact time - Rataczak. If we don't get the facts from him we can speculate till the end of time. Regarding: GALEN COOK - this man has had 3 suspects so far - where does he dig them up? You just do not walk around on this earth and accuse people of being Cooper - How many of Cooks "suspects" admitted they were Cooper? I know that Cook has accused me of slandering him - when I have only said that the kept bugging me and bugging me about Tina - GOD help her if that man finds her. He is writing a book - and so are a couple of others out there, but all I want is the truth...just the truth. I have contacted Tina again just to warn her about this man who has been so persistent, not to mention trying to trick me into acknowledging her contact information...early on I heard and saw my own Granddaughter in this person - and I chose not to harass her or inflict photos on her and to respect her privacy...I have often wanted to and promised myself that I would, but I come back to what is called respect...that is how I was raised. I received no acknowledgement of that contact and did not ask for one. Cook's story sound oddly like the one against Mayfield. Guys, think about this - How could Cooper have evaded the FBI and not be suspected by friends and relatives - when he is a known jumper and lived in the area? Lots of jumper have eluded to being Cooper, but it is all in fun - they know that for one reason or another that they could prove that they were not Cooper should they finc the need to do so. If Cooper was a known jumper - he would have been in prison...that or he was a No-Pull. AH-so the story goes on and on just like the energizer bunny! Okay - say the Fight is OFF its vector - and is further East than was reporter or a wind factor was involved - is it possible the money landed in the Washougal...I know someone is going to ask this so it just as well be me. Again that would be moving the filght path and the jump time would have put him into the mountains - at least that is what I am assuming from looking at a map. I saw that Washougal in May of 2000 - I wouldn't want to be in that - if the money was - it would never have made it to the Columbia. You know that West of that Mansion and it servants quarters used to be 3 cabins - on the North side of LaCamas Lake - that is one of the places Duane took me to...at the time there was only the foundation of one cabin left and he told me there used to be 3 there. This is the point at which he pointed South to what was a a dirt road at that time - and told me about a Cabin there, and to then East and said something about a tower and to the West and mention an old logging camp. On my trip to Wa. in 2000 - I found out that all of that did exist in 1971 and 1979. In 2000 the area had developed tremendously on the South East banks but the dairy was still there and the director of the Youth Camp on the North East side of the lake told us there used to be an old Feeding Camp - for the loggers on the South West side. The height of the lake in 2000 was considerably higher than it was in 1979 on the sentimental journey. There is a small creek that runs from the North into the lake - Follow that creek north and it will take you to power lines and then those power lines will take you to the pipe lines - when the underbrush wasn't there you could walk for miles and know exactly where you were going. (This is what he told me in 1979). Just a bit further up the road on the North Westside use to be what I think was an orchard at one time - the field in 1979 had lots of Rocks in it and some select very large trees - Duane knew his way around there real good - he didn't look at a map and he made all of these little side trips - some of these road weren't marked in 1979. Tell me something, HOW does a man know an area like that if he SUPPOSEDLY never spent any time in the area? The FBI never could answer that question. Strange that you alone have zeroed in on this area. When I was out there in 2000 these supposed guides took me everywhere but there...I kept telling them that the places they took me to weren't even close. Then along come the Angel "Udell" and I only had that one free day before my fight left the next morning - this truck driver asked me if I had a problem while I was waiting for my ride in front of the Double Tree - I just told her that I was looking for something I couldn't find - she asked me to describe the places - and when I did she told me where to go to find both places . The driver and ladies who where hosting me had another route in mind, but took me to these place and the moment I laid eyes on LaCamas lake I had found my "river"...and I also found the Washougal River on my left before turning up a road thru pastures -- I had repeatedly been told that could not be and yet there it was...then this big wide river which I did not know was a lake and Duane did not tell me differently - I had NO idea I was on a lake...the banks were steep in 1979 at the cabin site and in 2000 the water was up to the cabin site and the youth director asked me if I saw the lily pads - and he explain that just beyond those the water dropped off - that the lake had filled in. The trees in 1979 - the area around the cabins seemed barren and scrappy...yet in 2000 the trees were larger - the director then noted a 3 yrs old tree versus a 25 yr old tree - I knew I had found it - I remember both visions so very vividly. I will never get it out of my mind. This is the point I knew my search was over - I felt totally exhausted from the prior 4 days - I didn't need to see the things they had planned for me to see. The man who was driving was at that time in 2000 an undercover Narco....his life depended on his knowing when someone was lieing --- he was 99.9% sure that what I was telling him was the truth. He left himself a small fraction for grace sake. I still communicate with one of the women in the van that day...she was the one who arranged for the undercover narco to assist us. AND here I go again - just talking about that lake and the area from there to the Washougal, Coffee Rd., the "Orchard" or field, the mansion, all of those things he told me. Before we went to the lake he took me to the strangest place - a cementery. He didn't get out or stop the car...I have no idea...what that was, but he seemed to be more focused on an area West of the Cementery and back toward the Washougal River...I don't remember what it was and I didn't think to tell the driver to go down there - I was so elated at finding the other places and we were tired. In 1979 Duane took us onto Coffey Rd (I only recently found that road)- and after passing an intersection we went North on a not so major paved road in 1979 - after quiet a ways and this is where I get lost, but some place in that area was were the pipe line or power lnes crossed the tracks - I didn't see them - Duane told me about them. This is where the tower was - now it is all homes and forest is gone...I found this with Sluggo's maps and when I contacted him he emailed maps of the area I requested...I have not communicated with him recently to thank him for finding that map - he sent 3 maps but I only had to open the first one and it was dead on. This far more than I ever meant to tell you guys, but it is done. It was eerie the way all of this stuff you guys have been talking about just sent me back into the trip one more time - frankly I wish the memories would go away - that he had never told me the things he told me or took me to the places he did - all of the things he said over an 17 yr marriage and ended with his telling me about something that I had forgot about - and he was mad at me for not knowing what he was talking about. He wanted to get on down the Road - "Let's get on down the Road, Jo. " This statement was only a few hours the evening before he died the next day around mid-day. Our last conversation... because when I went back to the hospital the next day they had doped him up. I left that one night and the struggle with the nurse putting a morphine patch on his back...I now know that contributed to his death the next day. He told me "They are going to Kill me - get if off". I didn't know that they were also giving it to him orally - he wasn't dying fast enough for them... When I got there the next day he was almost gone - I knew I was there because he said "I love You" and 40 minutes later he was gone. I am sorry, but this was one man who had been to hell and back - from prisoner to Regional Manger for a subsidiiary of Merrill Lynch - a man I knew, but didn't know. Not until 1 yr and 2 months after he died when I stumbled onto the name of Dan Cooper in a book and the flood gates of memories came. Just like they have to night - rather this Sunday morning. I have spent 17 yrs of my life loving this man and 13 yrs of my life finding out who this man really was and trying to put his story out of my mind...but it won't go away. No - I am not crazy and I have not made up one thing I have told you - I have repeated the story for so long and it is always the same... just more vivid with each passing yr. and the more I know the harder it is that I am just -the Crazy Lady - and that the FBI refuses to do what is right. Duane Weber was Dan Cooper. There is nothing I will ever be able to do to prove it to the world - but, I know......and I also know about the "tie"..................................but, that again is another story - one the world will probably never know. I have not been able to get into this discussion and it is just as well. Cooper did not become separated from the money - he buried most of it and returned in 1979 which was the first time he had the opportunity to go back to WA. I can take you to two locations that he had the opportunity to throw something into the Columbia. If I get well enough --- I am going to do just that - and if the law doesn't disallow it in WA. I am going to throw 1/3 of his ashes in at both places - one in a plastic bucket - along with paper, but not real money. The second location will be paper in a bag along with part of the ashes. The last 1/3 - maybe I will flush it down the toilet of a Boeing or have it thrown out of a plane at 10,000 ft over the area he jumped in. When the contents of the bag are found and the plastic bucket is discovered I won't be around ... then someone can "debate" that. ALSO NOTE: - the FBI has not told ALL of the story. They know the "evidence" on the tie was compromised and that is confirmed by the 'butts' being lost. They know that one of their own had access to that evidence and supposedly showed that tie to McCoy's family - that means it left the evidence room ... and the state of WA. Is this when the "butts" came up missing? The FBI also knows WHY they did not release any pictures of the tie at that time. Then 36 yrs later the tie suddenly becomes evidence that can excuse individuals - minus the "butt". What would a court of law do with that? THE BIG QUESTION - if the FBI wanted to find COOPER - why did they not release pictures of that tie in 1971. I know the answer to that question. The FBI knows the answer to that question ... and they buried that evidence a long time ago...????? ALSO NOTE: If I allow a private concern to do a check of that knife and it's contents the FBI will reject it and I certainly DO NOT TRUST the FBI. NOTE: THe FBI has NEVER PUBLICLY acknowledge that they lost the "BUTTs" and I believe that the agent before Carr was disciplined for telling me about the 'BUTTS BEING LOST" several yrs ago. The agent and his superior refuted the statement and now it comes out yrs, later that they REALLY are LOST. Note: This loss has never been announced in a public statement and Ckret only posted that on a forum. The stewardesses have never stated that the tie they have in evidence is the tie worn by Cooper. It was found on the seat next to him - it is an assumption. What happened to the paper bag? What was in that paper bag - did it just disappear - it would have had his prints on it. Was Cooper smart enough to take the bag with him? The FBI HAS never answered my question about 20 dollar bills found in CA - in an area accessible to individuals of interest to the FBI - I have found no reports they ever checked that money against Cooper's money. I cannot tell you in a forum why I think they are related and why the FBI never answered me or investigated this after I contacted them regarding the above - there were never any more reports in the national news regarding this random find of money. I will answer NO questions about the tie other than what I have stated and about 20 dollar bills appearing in a strange way at a certain time in the FBI's investigation of Duane Weber. There have been too many unanswered questions - regarding the actions of the FBI in their investigation of Duane. Sounds like and Looks like a WASH to me. We know who the assassins were, but do we really know how and why these things happened. What about the unanswered questions leading up to how Bobby Kennedy's assassin had access to his exit point - answer to that one is Someone who was supposed to be protecting him. Of course I have never jumped - but it is a catch 22. He tied knots to secure the bag, but didn't tie knots to secure the bag to himself....not very likely... The wind force would have been for how many seconds? If you contend that the bag went into a contributary or into the Columbia - you have a lot of elements wearing away at this canvas bag tied with ropes for several yrs...that canvas was not that thick. Besides it has already been stated by experts that the money was not in the water for all of those yrs before it was found. That it did have a certain amount of protection...and the soil surrounding the find in 1980 indicated that the money had not been there for 8 yrs - it was determined to be less than a yr. Guess who was there in 1979? This is a no win situation for you or me. I keep thinking about the size of that bag not being as large as everyone has believed...due to the size of the bag alone...what - one square foot compacted and tied up. How much wind force would that be on exit? I know you guys jump and hold on to each others hands - how hard is that? Would you compare holding onto the bag the same as holding on to another human being? I guess I am just an idiot - but I think it is do-able. I know it waS do-able because he did it. Check the email I posted about the time and decide for yourself if you want to contest what the crew said after the crime - we are not talking about when it was recorded. Not in 1971 - but then I didn't have the actual supply source ... I also described a bag that I had seen in 1990 ... canvas (lightweight canvas) having a tweedy effect from flecks in it of a darker color. Not white, but grayish to a white wheat - age had something to do with the bag's color. I was unable to open it fully because he was coming back to the van. It was longer than it was wide with black printing - I did get a glance of the printing - not enough to swear to anyone what it said. I have since been told what it was so anything I might remember at this date is forever influence on the imprint. I gave my description to the FBI prior to my having ever been told more about the container...and this is what I told them...12 yrs ago. The only repellency needed was to transport the bag from the bank to the truck for deliver to and from stores and other locations. Just what I said in a prior post. Guru - are you sure you aren't Cooper? But, considering the fabric and the money it would not have floated for any length of time without being seen - by fishermen or someone. Test it! It has already been proven that the money was in a protect location for 7 yrs - banging around in a canvas bag in the river - I seriously doubt that even you could make a package that secure under the circumstances Cooper had - remember there was NO CLOSURE on this bag. Only if you seriously alter the time lines given by the crew - and that is altering FACTS big time. Bernie - that is how I am beginning to feel - except I say "Oh, What the Hell - I know who Cooper was so why bother!" Bernie where were you on Nov 24 1971?

I hope he gets the correct information to work with. The FBI and NWA concluded that the actual jump occurred between 8:10 and 8:12 ---nine miles from the closest tributary and yet, you want to extend that time just because money was found in the Columbia...you are changing FACTS to fit the finding of money 8 yrs later.. These FACTs were found thru 3 months of simulations and calculation with 3 crew members - you are contending that the crew was incorrect in their time. These 3 crew members had the incident fresh in their mind and with a much deeper understanding of the facts. Others are altering the time line in order to put the money in the Columbia. Duh! So the three crew members where idiots flying a 727 and unable to read a watch. I don't think so The money - experts have concluded due to the condition of the money that it washed onto the shore line within a yr. of it being found. The condition of the money means it was protect for most of those 8 yrs - just how much protection do you think a canvas bag would have provided in the Columbia under currents - the opening was not secured enough to last for 8 yrs in that water - THINK - just how was Cooper going to make a secure container out of a canvas bag on board a plane with an adrenaline rush that would hold for 8 yrs in the bottom of the Columbia. Maybe - the package did survive the jump and the impact of landing with enough protect to float several miles -- not likely. Basically impossible. Bad New Bear - Once paper is soaked with water it sinks...do a test with 10,000 bills in a canvas bag (they did not repel water in 1971). Be sure to make a secure tether for that bag or 10,000 bills are gone if you put them in the Columbia or a contributary that would flow into the Columbia.
