This is true even today and I agree with everything she said - I wish I knew who she was and if she was still living - this would be someone I would love to talk to when I go to WA. I am not going out there to Prove Duane was Cooper, but to satisfy myself regarding what I remember of my trip to WA and see if it will bring back any memories that might help me bring an end to this. Otherwise it is a trip to end this long journey - I might need a shoulder to cry on because regardless of what I find or discover - I have to end my search for the truth. ++++++++++++++++++ This is still true at this very moment. I am probably the only one who wants nothing more than to find the truth - and then walk away. The VA could not ACCESS Duane's military service - I was refused any information other than his serial number, birthdate and dates of service. Everything else was restricted - Access denied. I was told by a high ranking official that ex-cons where used for covert actions from 1962 - 1970. This official was suddenly not available after he provided me with phone number that was not monitored. I am told he was no longer there in a third call. A few yrs later I tried one more time - he didn't remember the incident and told me I must have the wrong person. Later this person's name appears in Washington, DC. I have not been able to find out if they are the same person. This happened over a 12 yr period of time. ++++++++++++++++ I have said the same thing over and over, but she said it better than I could ever have. The thing is that I have experienced the cover-up first hand in my search regarding Duane's past. +++++++++++++++++ This quote makes me feel this person had a vested interest in Cooper - that perhaps she knew him personally. It is now 2008 - 37yrs later and I know that what she said is the truth. It is what my own desperate search revealed and my knowledge of the man who was DB Cooper.

I sent this email to Snowmman - maybe that ran him off: "You will go back and see that I have referenced Ha Ha Ha many times and then someone else thought it was joke and used in their posts. It is not joke - it was published in 1983. There are names in that book - the man it is dedicated to - I knew that name and the womans name - It is a vague memory. It is broken up. As late as 1990 - a woman showed up at the shop - I swear that was her name, but just may be coincidental. Duane introduced this woman as some one he knew. I had work to do and never gave it a thought - went back to the debit. I trusted him never to run around on me so I didn't think it was that kind of friend - thought it might be someone in the antique business, but Duane was not that good and I got the impression she was there on business...I just happened to walk in. I never did ask a lot of questions about anything - just the kind of wife an ex-con living a secret life needed....Dumb Blonde." What photos - I guess I missed whatever you are talking about. What do you suspect? - I know he kept asking me questions that I felt where out of line. He is either a writer, Cook, fbi profiler, psychologist or just someone with nothing more to do - I certainly felt it was more than just a passing interest in this crime or Cooper. Georger, this is not for you - you are just the last one to post and I have never figured out how to make a post without replying to another post. Someone called my home this morning posing as a Washington State Employee - some people will stop at nothing to make a point. The word of a State Official was insufficient - and some people will stop at nothing to prove a river reverses it course without intervention...and / or flooding. The shovel was NOT too far away - that was in the shed at the tower. The forestry or private industry who owned that tower and shed kept tools there to fight fires. I am not sure how far that Shed was from the place it is believed he landed but I will find out in OCT. If an old lady on a cane can walk it the anyone could. Nothing in Tosaw's book explaines the fact that the money was NOT submerged in water for 7 yrs. It is all theory just like most things regarding Cooper. After his book was published individuals who read it and did their own research discounted Tosaw's claims and spectulations. Ckret: I wish to thank you for the total professional way you have handle the past few post. Snowmman You have put yourself out there as a source of all. There is by far too much repetition and hashing over things that have been done over and over. I am going to copy and paste an email I received from the State of Wa. regarding the claims you made about Vancouver Lake, flooding and the other things. You take information and interpert it the way you want - you are not a geologist, hydrologist, nor do you have any real physical contact with the State of Wa that I am aware of. An Official email regarding Lake Vancouver, Lake River and the flushing: I was able to down load one of the maps - it was very large. The other things I was unable to reference due to a heavy lightning storm in the area. If they have been posted before please let me know so I do not duplicate what has already been posted. I am finding it difficult to read and understand some of the posts - it is never clear who is replying to who and copying the complete post is using up space and time (and repetitive). I am sure that Drop Zone only has specific limit for the size of this thread - we should economize that space. One or two individuals seem to be an expert in ALL things. I am not a jumper, a hydrologist, engineer, a pilot, a radar expert, a member of the Foresty Div., or any of the things that would provide any expertist to the subjects. I can understand someone like Sluggo who seems to be very knowledgeable of his subject - he is using real time and real facts. I think his contributions have been the most valuable we can get. I have personally spoke with many individuals and I have been assured in past yrs that this NEVER happened. The book may have been informative, but you will note that in the credits you will not find Tina's name. So what she didn't tell him he made up. This nor the so called salute ever happened. Refer to the transcripts. If it did then we could say all of the things I have tried to say and what Coffelt said to Tina are true. Leave her alone - I have not forced myself on this girl now a woman - leave her alone - this is why she doesn't talk to anyone - because of things like this. She was just a kid at the time - this thing has altered her whole life. I respected her wish not to view photos but did not heed her advise to let go - to leave the past in the past. The writer of this book remains unknown to this day and the name Van Cleave - this is another story......How I got the book is still another story - just as strange as his visitor at the shop that day in 1990 or 91. Remember that Tosaw's book regardless of how interesting has some fiction entwined - It is my understanding that Tina DID NOT interview with him because she had already been at odds about the things article where saying and why this young lady chose to remove herself from the media. Where is this article - I have never seen it - I have maintained that Cooper had something similiar to a Fanny Pack and it was mentioned in the other thread and in other forums I participated in, BUT, the FBI has ever stated anything like this - I have never read anything like this until this VERY moment, except for my statements which went totally ignored. If this is true and Scott did say this and the FBI is aware of it why haven't they acknowledge what I have stated about this before????. I do not even know if there was such a thing as a fanny pack in 1971, but I have described in past posts that he had something around his waist under his jacket, but NO ONE has ever acknowledged this ... I remember suggesting it was something that maybe power line workers or carpenters use - I even at one time in this forum I believe suggested he had something to hook the money to. I even suggested that maybe Cooper was wearing a backbrace to protect himself from injury. Please someone tell me why I had never been told that this was the one thing I was telling that had not been made public at least to my knowledge. If it is indeed true. CKRET: Why was I not told this - is this true and was it well known. I have in my files every article and book that I have ever read? Right now I don't know whether to cry, laugh, scream - it is too late to call anyone. But then maybe Snowmman is pulling my leg and this was never written and never was reported. NOW, you are thinking like a man on the run - sly like a fox and as quick as a fox. but after 17 yrs in prison you are not going to go back for the rest of his life...this mean move like a snake along the ground and undercover of night and woods. Stay away from any point they will be looking, such as any place they might thing you landed, airport or jump zone, don't go back to that car - what if the FBI ID'd you, stay low and go where they will not be looking. Try to run and you will be caught just lay low and quiet till you have a plan to get yourself out of this mess you just jumped into....after all you didn't expect to survive. The FBI needs to think like Cooper and decide what would they do? Snowmman would have got caught the first day running...they were watching for hitch hikers. He was being looked for he had to get out of any probable LZ that the FBI might be looking in. Questions you are asking are personal and not for a forum - so far I have been an open book but this is going too far. I think I have given FAR more DETAILS than necessary. ARE you wanting to know the most intimate details of our marriage? If you were a writer doing a book you might be entitled to answer to the details of our lives, but considering this is a public forum - You have stepped over the line. You've injected your personal life into a criminal case. I don't believe there's any legal line I've crossed. 377 can advise if I've come close to any libel issues. I believe I can do a lot. I can pay your friends for information. But there's no reason to. There's nothing to the Duane show. Why are you shocked? What code of conduct am I violating? I'm just interested in the Cooper case. Don't care about anything else. Would someone please explain to me how I accused Snowmman of libel or if I even mentioned legal issures? Ckret is the ONLY one I have an axe to grind with and that regards something he said on National TV. and never retracted. As for Ckret I have never asked for more than an apology which I never got regarding his statement on TV about my knowledge of the DNA. YOU HAVEN'T? You would make it complicated In 1971 - trains had more stops then they do to day. Just inside of Vancover that train slowed down a lot - what for I don't know. (maybe a crossing or repairs to an over-pass). Do you remember the statement Duane made when he pointed out the tracks near the cabin on the river??????? I do. But the funny thing that isn't where he got off a train, but where he got on a train. After he left the hiding area away from the DZ and much further East than they were looking for. He took the boat to the cabin across from the airport. This 2 or 3 days later -maybe more. He had walked out in the opposite direction when he landed - he had to get out of the seach zone. He locates himself and his targets (points of direction and location) -the weight of all of the stuff is too much. He buries the suit and the chute at the tower donning the overalls in the shed. He then walks out and down the power lines and pipe lines to a known location in the S.E section, that he can take refuge and make a contact with someone (I feel I know who this someone was). He made sure that when he broke into a couple of residences that he only took what he needed so that it would not be missed (food) - or appear to have been broken into. At one of the residences he broke into he made a desparate phone call (bet those people wondered for yrs who made that call - because he left no evidence of a break-in.) He gets to the marina and takes the boat till he spots the airport tower and the sets the boat loose down the river in gear. He set that boat off about 3 football lenghts West of the airport and below the cabin and the shed on the Vancouver side - he has to hide the money to come back for it later...he takes part of it with him. Now he has to get out of town and it is several days later - his food is scarce...but he has survived in solitary for days with only bread and water before, There is only one way to get out of there without being seen. He has watched the train slow down and has learned its schedule - he knows that train is going to Seattle. That is where he is to meet his party. He left a car in the Vancouver area, but he is afraid to go back to get it - was probably stolen anyway - left in a field or parking spot just off of the old 500 or a highway that goes near it on the N. side and not too far from the airport in that area...his intended DZ. Perhaps the friend he called picked the car up if it was register in his or her name or called a repair shop to pick it up - claiming auto problems. With a family member living in the area - both had a legitimate reason to be in the Vancouver area. Question guys - how many of you think I fabricated that story and how many think maybe I am revealing something I have never told before? You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Did I lead this forum to this point or was it accidental? Go ahead and make this sound ridiculous - the truth is sometimes so simply that it is not seen or heard until Simple Simon jumps over the candlestick. I want to clairfy things about my trip to WA in Oct. I am not going there to present Proof, I am going there to get answers to things regarding information I have accumulated and to verify things I told the FBI. My questions about Duane have not been answered by the FBI so I have to go get the answers myself - I should have done this 12 yrs ago, but I was working and could not afford to do so on my own without jeopardizing my future. Snowmman stated Exactly what does my being divorced with kids have to do with anything? I will not deny that he may have used me - I have admitted that. Snowmman stated: I won't touch that with a 10 ft pole and I will not set myself up for a lawsuit. I have stayed away from that part of his life with due cause. I would only discuss that part of his life before a judge and under court order. Snowmman stated: What business is this of yours or anyone else? For your information my youngest daughter was with us and Duane thought the world of her. She saw the composites (the ones the FBI took so long to send me) and said "My God, he really was Cooper". Prior to the arrival of those composites all I had to work with was a small postage size digitized black and white from a newpaper article and the Bing Crosby look alike.. Snowmman states: I have already gone on record as having stated that I deep down think he may have married me because of my name. He had a winning personality. Spare time - what is that? - we worked 7 days a wk and 10 hrs or more a day. He liked to sing and he liked working with his hands. He was a good husband and good father...and a very hard worker. Our spare time was use on other jobs to insure our future (such as wholesale distirbutions and flea markets). Snowmman staes: First there is NO Duane and Jo show - it is not a show - just a journey for the truth - and it is a hard one. I never said I was releasing anything.
