Shelleys statements except for the FBI's claim Duane was with family have already been handled. A phone call today and several emails made up for all of the grief - that was inflicked on me last night and this morning. I can't talk about it right now - but, more and more light is being put on Duane Weber and his association with other individuals during the yrs before the jump, but verification is needed at this time. I dont have the faintest idea what you're talking about. Symba was the name of our dog who died in Oct of 1994. Duane buried him in the backyard and since the items I had seen where no place to be found it was presumed he may have buried them with the dog. Duane spent a lot of time alone in the garage with the dog prior to his being buried and took a medicine bottle with something in it to the garage with him. I thought it was the papers on the dog - but they were in the safe. A filming crew dug him up but we found no bottle - the smell was so bad that no one wanted to pull his tissues apart to see if he had something tucked inside. It was totally morbid. I could not afford to hire someone to check the body out for anything that might have been with him. We only noted that there was nothing - in the box or around the dig site. We turned the body over but did not explore futher. That is the Uccckky thing I was talking about. We all so had one of those statue banks about 12 inches tall that looked just like Symba. That is were I found a 20 dollar bill right after Duane died. I noted it was an old bill and I spent it. At that time I attached no significance to this bill - I would later find out who Dan Cooper was.... and will forever wish I had kept it. There was something written on it - but that never registered in my memory and I refuse to make something up just to appease others. THAT is not true and you know it - Dollars Corner was there in 2001 when I was there - maybe I was there in 2000 but it had NOT burned down - and I have NEVER mentioned anything as absurb as Brad Pitt or anyone else. I talked to some of the men in the bar and asked them a lot of questions and we tried to find one of the men they told us about who might have been there in the late sixties and early 70's. We also went across the road and talked to a man in a store there. ------------------------------------ I don't remember sending a letter unless it is where I tried to draw the site and if I mentioned LaCames it had to have been after the trip. It is not I who could not keep my information straight - I tried without success to describe the places. ----------------------------- The Bar was the Dollar's Corner Tavern and it was there in 1971 and it was there in 1979 and it was there in 2001 when I was there with a TV program. We went and talked to several of the individuals in the bar - Old timers. If you would like their names I will provide them privately. I don't keep my information straight - What Bar did you think I was talking about? It may interest you to know that he was not with his "wife" and she was with her family in Lawrence, Ks per multiple conversation with her. Nov. of 1971 the 'wife" children where in Ks and Duane was NOT with them. If you are referring to his family he had only contact with his sister and he was not in CA. with her. What family are you referring to and what family would the FBI be referring to - if they ca? What family are you referring to? I will be calling the FBI today to verify this information. -------------------------------- How could I change anything - I couldn't get anyone to understand where the places where - I even tried to draw a picture. I tried to find Jerry before I went out there, but I had lost contact with him. I wanted him to see what I found that last day. He kept going other places and didn't think the locations I tried to tell him about where important. He consistently told me that Washougal could not be on my left unless I was going South - but I found it and I found what I thought was a river - it was a long lake. It was all there. Interesting statistics. The woman was a truck driver in the area for 20 or 30 yrs. Not going to the notes to be exact - but that was 2001 and if she had been driving for 20 yrs that is 1981. She approached me telling me I seemed troubled. I was waiting on my ride and sitting on a bench in front of the Hotel. She asked if I had a problem (I didn't think I looked like I was troubled). I told her she couldn't help me because I was looking for places I had been told didn't exist. This is when she told me she had been a truck driver in the area for 20 yrs and pleaded with me to describe them. During the 5 prior days no one took me to anything that vaguely matched what I saw in 1979. She did not hesitate to tell me the locations of the places I described and her directions where specific. The locations were dead on - I will never forget that day as long as I live. I am not particularly religious, but earlier I had thrown a flower into the Columbia and spoke out loud to God and to Duane - "I have been here for 5 days and I don't know anymore than I did the 1 st day. It's all up to you guys now." Over an hour later - my "prayer" is answered. The trip to WA was not futile. Why was she at the front door of the Hotel if she was making a delivery of some sort? This hotel was on the Portland side of the river...the address she gave me was also Portland - and when I contacted the business at that address - they never heard of her. I expect she gave me a fake name and the address of one of her deliveries, but WHY. Hence - Why I call her my Angel Udell. Jerry previously has lived way up in the woods and had no telephone for yrs - he used a friends phone. That may have changed since I learned he has health probliems starting a few yrs ago. Jerry is the one who insisted that Washougal could not be on my right - over and over. Yet, with the help of a local "truck driver" I found what I was looking for and the place Duane took me to. Jerry refused to follow lthe pipelines and powerlines - yet they were crucial. He had a mind set back yrs ago that Cooper landed in a specifc site and was not open at that time to the locations I had asked about and denied they existed. Since my locations and description of the places Duane took me did exist, but Jerry denied they were there - I lost my faith in him. In the beginning I thought he could help, but time proved me wrong. It was after I went to WA and found what I was looking for that he bowed out. Outside of my finding what he claimed did not exist does exist, he is a real nice guy...not sure he is computer literate, but we will see. He is a simple man with simple needs. Where are YOU getting this garbage from. I never noticed that Duane had any unusual gate. He did not walk with a limp. This was something note by others and has been taken into consideration. I lived with the man and yes I knew he had one hip higher than the other because I hemmed his pants - but NO noticable limp or gate obvious to me unless his knee hurt. ================== Ahh Now ! WELL, I have been quiet, but we may have the most advanced recognition program in the world considering doing a comparison of several photos of Duane against others of seemingly no interest to the FBI. This could involve full body shots and an old home video...body and movement comparison and give him a 45 yr old body and face. What would the crew do with a re-enactment like that? No - I do not have FULL records on either. I have the Navy induction card and what our government sent me. Shows he went into the ARMY with no release date. Shows he went into the Navy and when he was released. When I went to Veteran Affairs to acquire this information - it was ODD. I have told this story before. The official pulling the records had to go get a code to access Duane's file. It came up CLASSIFIED - or some other terminology that meant he had to go see a Senior Official for a code. I would have to go back to my notes of 1998 to tell you exactly what the screen said. This official told me he could NOT give me any information on Duane because I was not listed as a beneficiary. I explained that in 1943 - I was only 3 yrs old and did not meet my husband until 1976. I explained that I needed to know the bases and training he recieved. He gave me some forms to fill-out to get rid of me. What they sent was what I already had. I was led to believe I would be getting the things I asked for. Didn't Happen! I am going to collect everything I have on his military background along with what pictures I have and letter. There is a military museum about an hour from me. Maybe from looking at these things I do have - the historians might be able to fill in the blanks or know a way to get his records. Inducted in Ohio and sent to a basic in the Northeast then he was sent to Jacksonville, Fl - which is where he was stationed when he got booted on a bad-conduct charge. Striking a 90 day wonder in time of war. Duane had told me that the man was feeling his girl up and he hit him in the head with a bottle of Carstairs (how it sounds - have no idea how to spell it or what kind of liguor it was). Duane did not tell me about the bad conduct charge until we were living in Virginia and trying to get a loan to buy our first house. He told me they probably would not give him a loan. We did buy the house in Virginia, but not thru the VA. If you know how I can get the detailed Navy records - to include the training area, what he was being trained for and what he did when he was sent to Jacksonville, I will supply what I have. I believe that these records or history might clear a lot up. 1941 - where did they send the guys from Ohio for basic? Where was he sent after basic and what training did he receive? ================= Now I AM SHOUTING - that was uncalled for ------- We were at Tena's bar and the Fazion home - and if the arial pic you are talking about is dated May 2001 or before - with the square shaped house - then it sure looks different standing in the parking lot and looking back up at it from the river than it looks from the air. I Why don't you get a picture of that house from the back and front and also while you are at it check the building permits - if it was not rebuilt - it may have been remodeled. I will concede that the location might be the same because of the incline - from the parking lot and the shoreline. They definitely took out some trees. Why don't you repost the arial you are declaring was in existence prior to May of 2001 and I will re-examine it. By reposting it only for me - this makes sure we are referring to the same arial. Going on about a cover-up and a faked Moon landing is ridiculous. I HAVE maintained the FBI did NOT do their job - that doesn't mean there was a deliberate cover-up. There is a difference you know. In my anger at some time over the last 13 yr. I may have called it a cover-up, but I never expected to have my every word analyzed. You take someone my age and from my background - ask them about this "mistakes result in a cover-up because people lie to cover-up mistakes". I do not lie to cover-up the mistakes I have made - I keep telling what I do know hoping someone knows more. When I make mistakes I owe up to them when it is put to me in irrefutable documentation and pictures. The FBI has never admitted they were in error regarding anything in the investigation of Cooper or Weber...so in my mind that is a cover-up. Note: Those images are not May of 2000 but a later date. That house is NOT the house that was there in May of 2000 and that is NOT the same location the house was in. The house was older and more retangular...not the newer modern style indicated by the roof in the Google pics they displayed. If this is the same house - things sure look different from the air than they do on the ground. The memory of that day is not flawed. I have tried to visualize from the gate - (this is where I went when I got upset because they wanted me to pretend this was where Duane took me). I refused to participate in a lie. I spent my time up there looking down on them. I will tell you I was looking down and maybe this is why it looks so different. The land does an incline from that point to the shore. There were in May of 2000 more trees on the border just below and in the front of the parking. It looks like they made some changes to the parking lot and to the house. I will tell you the house that was there was an older house - the old typical rectangular style. The front of the house faced a road or driveway on the North side and not the river as Snowmman has said. (I know what a backdoor looks like.) I am not going to argue this - because if the film company has all of the clips they made they would answer all of the questions. In the actual presentation on TV, they did not show the house. It was just an innocent response - not meant to be derogatory. I thought what you wrote was VERY intersting. There is absolutely NO reason to BASH me. I am the one who brought up and defended what happened to Tina when some jerk maintained "other" things happening. This was a life altering experience for those stewardesses and the rest of the crew that remained on that plane. You are making an awful lot out of a remark about what a grandchild would say. I was NOT dismissing the child - just pointing out that children have vivid imaginations. I was looking at both sides of the coin. Why is that the rest of you can disuss pros and cons but if I make one post looking at the other side of the coin - it becomes jump on Jo time? Rather than BASH me just ignore me okay. I have had a LIFE altering experience also - because there seems to be no explanation by the FBI as to my husbands confession or past. My experience has lasted 13 yrs not 3 hours - it has destroyed my health - I can't put it behind me anymore than some of can put your own questions and curiousities behind you. For just one time - someone needs to put themselves in my shoes - What if is was anyone of you who had a spouse who confessed to a horrible crime and if you were a very righeous person, you would want to see justice served - and do everything in you power to see it done. I know what I saw and what he said and that the sequence of events could not have happened if he was not Cooper. I have NEVER taken a red cent from this story not one - so money is bot the motivation nor is 15 minutes of fame - it took me 5 yrs to go public and several months to discuss it with anyone other than a couple of close friend - AFTER I found out who DAN Cooper was. I have never sought anything other than the truth - and believing that you do the crime - you do the time. I want to see this end, but NOT with the lies that the FBI told and more than one AGENT has LIED. You cannot dismiss a suspect in 1998 when you had never done anymore than a cursory look. That FBI agent was so full of himself that he didn't know Duane had been to McNeil and claimed Duane was NEVER in the army and that the serial number belonged to Wavy Greene. I am on the other end of the phone in 2000 when I confronted him with papers in my hands that proved otherwise. If they screwed up that bad and a ordinary citizen with the help of a couple of investigative reporters proves the agent was in left feld somewere - there is a serioius flaw in the system and it needs to be addressed and fixed - or was the deception DELiBERATE?
