Prove it. Nothing stays secret in Seattle about the Cooper case. He's like Bigfoot here. Unless you mean the show next week, and I know Himmelsbach appears on that. That's not a secret. Cook isn't coming out with a book. He can't write the final chapter. That's why he hasn't put it out yet, although he keeps promising each year. I wouldn't count on it.

Just the Fact: Duane's health problem was NOT even diagnosed prior to 1970. If there was a diagnosis prior to that it must have been while he was in Jefferson, but the ex-wife did not mention it nor did Duane. Duane had some high blood pressure issues and he was aware of his kidney problems but he was in relative good condition up until 1985. Wooden Dowels? I hardly think that is logical. Flares would have been lighter and more useful. I am unaware of Duane being in the "can" in Ms. at any time. Duane worked for ONE company in KS prior and that was as John Collins in 1964 - 1966. He did not even have an insurance license, but he won all of the awards every month for Pyramid Life which had NOTHING to do with N.W. Airlines. Now I will address specific quotes: " think Jo indicated he had parked a car there" The only time I have mentioned a car being parked was off of the old 500 near Sifton. All Duane said was "I know someone who left a car there one time". "Jo refers to it as an old abandoned dairy farm with a cabin by the river". The dairy farm I mentioned was on the Southside of Lake LaCames and it turnes out it was only a farm - but, most of the farms sold their milk to the dairies in the 40's. (It had a concrete block building I thought was a milking station and it probably was). A farm Duane showed me and told me he used to know the people who lived there and they had a son about his age. Note this area (the farm house) had NOTHING to do with the jump or the DZ or target. A place Duane showed me and told me about. "I respectfully decline to provide further information on your proposition. You have my PM. EOM " What is this all about? "Recommend any hotels in the area?" If I go back I will stay in Vancouver at the Springhill suites. All of that area is much closer than it looks on the maps. Providing there is no snow it is not a bad drive. For someone claiming such a High IQ how in the world do you think testimony about a "milk can" is the subject of the post you quoted. He is talking about individuals who have approached me with information, but information they would deny if questioned by others. The best example I can give of this was my enquiry into the Ft. Benning Records. An official in Ft. Benning told me something through a private number he provided and suddenly he wasn't there and then he was in WA and then he was back in Ft. Benning, but this time claiming he didn't remember the conversation. I have better examples involving retired CIA, FBI and Government heads of state and retired military involved in JMWave. Yes, our government was there and some of these guys made pictures and kept documents they WERE not supposed to. I doubted some of these stories, until picture made in Viet Nam started to surface that where NOT supposed to exist. Look at the things this thread found - things never before revealed - or simply never made public knowledge...such as the 727's being used prior to 1969 for delivery of goods. In other words, something that would not hold up in court. Not exactly helpful. Yrs ago I talked about Duane taking me to an old farm wiith what appeared to be a milking station in front of it. I know where that farm was and who owned it. (I was there 2 months ago). It may have been a farm Duane worked on in the 40's as a farm hand and had nothing to do with the skyjacking. Duane NEVER mentioned a milk can (I told Knoss this more than once). Finally I just gave up and let it go... I have the names of the people who owned the farm. They were German and had more than one son about Duane's age. One was deceased and the other was in a nursing home with Old Timers, He was shown some pictures and I was told not to expect anything by his son. The son thought perhaps Duane worked as seasonal farm hand, but there is NO one to remember him and there are no pictures. I understood this as we had work hands on our farm to bring in the crops, but no pictures exist of these hands. The son of this man was very nice to me and he remembered some of his relatives talking about his grandmother cooking for the hands and the speads the farm wives put out for the workers...we both shared similar stories. The Palmer Report expressly states the money was NOT in the water all of that time. All tests prove the money was not in water from 1971 to 1980. Tena's bar and Tina have NO connection. The Palmer report and the testing of the money support the fact that the Money was protected for most of those 8 yrs. Until 1996 NO one ever came up with an explanationg that explained the money found in Feb of 1980...not until Jo Weber contacted the FBI and she told about Duane throwing a bag into the Columbia behind the Red Lion which is at the Foot of the old I-5 bridge on the Vancouver side of the Columbia, just a short distance from Tena's bar. The woman who called the FBI in 1996 had NO knowledge of the crime other than the first few chapters of a fictional book about Cooper. She had NO knowledge the money may have been elsewhere for several yrs. NONE of that had ever been disclosed to the public - NOTE, I don't even know if the Palmer Report is public yet or not. You guys are talking elementary stuff now - anyone who knows what they are talking about refuses to keep rehashing all of this. It does not feel like Christmas when the media is still allowed to perpetuate myths and mistruths. In 1998 the FBI says one thing and then in 2000 something else and then refutes what he told me only because I told him about the documents I was HOLDING. Documents the FBI wanted to go POOF. I HAVE THE HARD DOCUMENTS and proof this conversation actually took place. It will go POOF over my dead body...maybe I should make copies and send them out to every newspaper & tv station in the world....a copy of the proof and a copy of my documents. Unless there are government documents they have not destroyed this case will never be solved. If the truth can't be told why say anything at all?...this goes for the FBI and the media and the writers of books. This is exactly WHY I have never allowed the story about Weber to be written - I will not settle for the crap the writers put out. Maybe Accuracy in reporting is tandamount - on the part of the FBI and the Media. Another suspect in the case, Duane Weber, was named by his widow as possibly being the hijacker. She told the F.B.I. that her husband said ‘I’m Dan Cooper’ while he lay dying of kidney disease in March 1995. Jo Weber began a dialogue with Ralph Himmelsbach of the F.B.I. and later submitted some of her husband’s personal articles for DNA testing. That DNA was submitted in 2003 at the REQUEST OF THE FBI therefore the FBI had NOT closed their investigation of Weber. However, the evidence against Weber is inconclusive at best, and he cannot be placed anywhere in Washington state or Oregon at the actual time of the crime. Weber, a con man and small-time crook, visited the Northwest occasionally, but had no parachute experience. The Bureau closed their investigation on Duane Weber in July of 1998. Why wait 5 yrs before asking for his DNA if they had ruled him out in 1998 - and in March of 2000 the Agent RALPH HOPE claimed that Duane had not been in McNeil and had NOT been in the ARMY. A statement he would have to later refute and WHY I went Public. Never lie to me or tell me something when I have Government documentation in my hands stating other wise. The agent told me Duane was never in the army and the serial number belonged to Wavy Green. He also said Duane Weber had NEVER been a resident of McNeil. NOTE: I have UNDISPUTABLE PROOF DOCUMENTING THE ABOVE CONVERSATION WITH THE FBI ON MARCH OF 2000. I will add that when the agent realized I could prove what I was saying he excused himself and called me back stating he was wrong. I will stand on this conversation in MARCH of 2003 that the FBI had NOT closed the investigation of Weber regardless of what they told me or the media. Had I not have had that Documentation I would have been at the mercy of the FBI's xxxxxxxxxx and all of you know how I feel about the FBI - as a result of the above.. Even now media and others are allowed to perpetuate untruths. Later, they announced that Weber’s DNA had not matched a small amount of DNA evidence the F.B.I. collected from the tie left behind by the hijacker on the plane. Jo Weber continues to insist that her late husband was Cooper, no matter what the F.B.I. says. To be fair, this supposed DNA evidence the F.B.I. offers is suspect in itself, since the tie was previously handled by dozens of people over a period of years before the technology for DNA came along. Haynes, sterilize the aircraft, Bob Aubrey, Mc Elroy, "Shep" Johnson, Richard Peterson, Ray Shank, Kickers, Loadmasters, Southern Air, stripped of excess weight, Pappy Hayes, Fred Barnosky, ground Flare-up and Joe Hole have in common? And it ALL comes together in one nice neat package - names, places and things I knew as far back as 1982 - but how much of this was COMMONLY known by the public in 1982. There is NO attempted scam on my part. I might buy one bottle of wine every 2 months and as for smoking - I do not smoke in my house or my car...therefore I am NOT smoking when I am on the computer and only rarely have I treated myself to a bottle of wine. You are not infront of me so I can show you on a map and explain where Duane took me and the things he said - if you were, perhaps you might understand what I am trying to say. I believe Duane landed East of the plane route. I have never understood the wind thing and even with your attempt to get through to me - it is all gobbly gook to me. I wish you or someone you knew could sit me down with maps (plain black and white maps without all of the technical stuff on them) and show me exactly what you are talking about. Perhaps you know someone in my area that could do that for me - I would appreciate it. If you knew me you would know there is NO ATTEMPT on my part to scam anyone. Duane was in more than one prison - infact Washington was the state they told me was NOT in prison in - yet, I held the records in my hands while the FBI stood on the other end of the line saying my husband had NEVER been in McNeil. The articles I submitted I didn't see how the could get DNA - I got rid of everything after he died and cleaned and cleaned - plus other people trying things on at a garage sale. I am asking Dumb Blonde questions and comments so please make the answers easy for me and others like myself to understand. --------------------------- The high winds at altitude saga apparently originates from the quotations from a Captain Bohan which start on page 111 of Ralph Himmelsbach's book. Captain Bohan apparently told Himmelsbach that his jet was at 14,000 feet and "four minutes behind" the hijacked airliner. Bohan reported "80 knot winds from 166 degrees (this would presumably be about 183 degrees with respect to the grid lines), right on my nose". Bohan also reported an extremely high cross wind component as he landed on runway 10 at Portland. First, Captain Bohan wouldn't not have been "four minutes behind" the hijacked airliner very long since he probably had an airspeed of about 100 knots more than the Cooper aircraft, assuming of course that Bohan had retracted his landing gear and flaps and was operating his aircraft normally. So Bohan HAD to be on another track (in Dumb Blonde language) that means not on the same co-ordinates - but West of the Skyjack plane? The ground winds passed to the hijacked airliner, including those at Seattle, Reno, and points in between, were all of the order of about 10 MPH (or about 9 knots). Consequently, there is no support elsewhere for Bohan's high cross wind component which would have to be about 25 MPH to be a concern for a jet airliner. Again was Bohan West of the skyjacked plane? I would like to see a plain map with cities and road showing the exact route of each plane with the times. Red for Skyjacked and Green for Bohan. Most individuals like myself cannot read the co-ordinates and remove the navigations clutter. Can you simplify the routes of both planes including the curve Bohna would have to make to land at PDX? There is no supporting evidence of winds of 80 knots at 14,000 feet and plenty of supporting evidence that the winds at 10,000 feet were less than 30 knots from a southwesterly direction. This is usually what confuses us Whuffos and Dumb Blondes - Southwesterly - does that mean blowing from from a SouthWest directions (can you indicate the winds with arrows on the same map)? Overall, the winds and weather that the hijacked airliner experienced were all relativey routine and, weatherwise, it was just another night at the office. This is what I have always thought, but us plain ordinary individuals get caught up in all of the clutter and need a Simple Map to show the things to support this in a manner that cannot be disputed. There are those out there who think they know what Bohan was saying, but they are NOT pilots or navigators. The picture I have in my mind is the two routes - one for each plane and comparing the time scale. Then considering the wind direction and the bump - approximately where Cooper could have landed. I believe that Cooper jumped after he saw the Dam lights/Power lights or what-ever East of Lake Merwin, but the winds caught him and took him East and West. This put him North East of his target which was further South. This will clarify which plane was saw by the witnesses - making witness accounts more believable or disqualfied. Regarding the Skyjacker: I have always believed his target was between Heisson and Brush Praire and Hockinson - just because of all of the things Weber told me and showed me on that trip....and I believe the skyjacked plane went right over those areas. He knew the area well enough to make do with what was at hand and perhaps this was also a lot of luck. Makin-do. What someone I knew always said and did. Being an ex-con - that is all he could do...what chance did an ex-con have in those days of getting a good job and becoming successful? NOT MUCH! I will say up-front that I believe the motive for the crime was 3 fold. 1. Feeling he was OWED SOMETHING. 2. With a bad diagnosis - NOTHING TO LOOSE 3. A grudge - One that occurred in 1968/69. The motive I cannot discuss with anyone except in extreme confidence as it involved individuals whose lives were forever changed. Was Weber Cooper? I only know what he told me. "Maybe I was the one on the ground." Why would Weber have the ticket, the stub, the bag and why did he confess? Did Cooper survive or die shortly thereafter or was Weber actually Cooper? Who is buried in the Washougal Memorial Cemetery? Since NO ONE claims him - could he be Cooper or an accomplice? Who paid for the headstone? I can't answer the questions in the last paragraph and hope before I meet the Creator that I will know the truth...and everyone else with understand what is often considered a Tease or Riddles. They are neither - just things I don't understand and somethings I cannot talk about. Enough harm has come to others because of the dead past I have dug-up. Special Message to individuals who have chosen to not speak for themselves and who have spent their lives trying to erase the past: Innocent victims of the Cooper saga can try to forget the things that happened or they can face the demons head on. Bohan's flight was indeed much further West and is the path of that flight more in line with the "other sitings" of the plane... so many have used to put the skyjacked plane over Interstate 5 in an attempt to explain the money at Tena's bar. 2. Does Bohan's information give any factual clues to the wind factors...that the skyjacked plane may have experienced. Originally posted early today: I received an email telling me that Capt. I recieved an email telling me that Capt. Bohan who was flying west of V-23 circled wide over the Columbia River as he descended to PDX from the west. It states the winds aloft were gale force coming out of th SSE and why he used Runway 10 going towards the East. This conversation was supposedly in a personal discussion between Himmelsbach and Bohan....since I do not know the source of this information I just received, I cannot validate it. Does the above constitute what you are saying or conflct with it. Remember I am Dumbo when it comes to things like this so I just want to know what this means in terms of how it affected reports of the skyjacked flight and any relationship to the skyjacked plane and the weather conditions. Well, I couldn't agree more. This is absurd - all the guy is doing is taking things from this thread and trying to make them his own and applying them to his "subject". His "subject" was 28 yrs old in 1971, therefore not a valid subject. Pretty hard to be that far off in age regardless - even taking into consideration a hard life or bad genes. His posting a private email has cause me considerable grief. Individuals who know what I was going after have closed all communications. I have been in the possession of information that IS not and WILL NEVER be public information. This information might have been helpful to Jamie in resolving his memories and his own past. Sometimes life is what it is. Sometimes when you have been after something for as long as I have - you run into something you think might make connections. After chasing some these things and finding they have no connections - then I resolve that "connection". This was what I was trying to do with Jamie - but, he refused to provide me with the information I needed to research this matter more. Mostly he twisted my questions to make is sound like something sordid and nothing anyone else could possibly have made out of those 2 very brief PM's he made public. The grief he has caused me has resulted in possible litigations against me and shut-down a connection with someone else who maybe a key that could unlock the past...of my deceased spouse - Duane L. Weber who told me he was Dan Cooper. Perhaps Jamie is more than a troll and he may be here to do exactly what he has done - to destroy the most informative thread to ever exist regarding Dan Cooper aka D.B. Cooper. This would serve no one other than those who do NOT want the truth exposed. Jamie was BAIT and I took the BAIT, but I am the only one who could ever be damaged by that BAIT... and all because he posted a private message. Certain Officials know what I have been seeking - and it is NOT anything I have spoke about in this forum or any other forum. I just figured it was something I would NEVER know. When you go into an old dark closet or basement - one never knows what lurks there - dead or alive. Secrets or Clues to the past lie in wait to be Discovered, but they often end up destroying the seeker. Fact or Fiction: Did Cooper actually touch a magazine on that night in 1971? The answer I have been told is NO, that McCoy was the only one who handled a magazine. Perhaps my source is wrong, but I doubt it. If Duane was not Cooper then why were these statements made in the first place, The agent said that my ex- husband was not Cooper and based this on the DNA. I know my ex-husband was not Cooper - he was 5'7" with red hair and freckles. My deceased husband, Duane Weber is the one who said "I'm Dan Cooper". I (of course) let them know what I think about their darn DNA. The truth is the FBI screwed up and they didn't get their man or they knew who their man was all along. You'll Never Know if You Don't Know Now - the song Duane sang to me on our wedding night with a full band behind him. I still want to know about this darn Book and the picture of the little girl. I wonder when the program Hoax Busters will come to the TV - it is time. Someone contacted me a couple of yrs ago about that but this perons had been trying to Hoax me for yrs and instead decided to try to help. This is when some facts became available that at least gave me a track to follow. Such as the Uncle no one in the family talked about. Why? I still haven't found that one out. Duane was the only one who had ever mentioned him - Duane's brother and sister did NOT acknowledge this wealthy uncle who lived in Chicago and whose widow retired to St. Pete and remarried. His children from the marriage to Naomi disappeared off the FACE of the earth - we know they existed, but that is all. A family of secrets and we don't know why. (A name that would have been on the list in Duane's possession when he was arrested in St.Petersbury, Fl in 1957). This Uncle was involved in Chemical WARfare for the Army in WW1 - and he was a chemist for Sherwin Williams out of Chicago - he was called back into service with WW11....which he served in Public Service regarding Chemical Warfare. The man existed and was Duane's uncle but his history was elusive. Perhaps the family refused to acknowledge this man because of the chemical warfare connection.... Wonder what Blevins has to say about Weber in his book? Just hope it is accurate, but I expect this to be as he became more objective when he joined this thread and realized he needed some direction. He listened (sometimes stubbornly) but he came around and was then open to the fact - there are others out there who could be Cooper. Actually this thread is the vehicle that assisted him and he said he would acknowledge that. Remember all the mistakes he made in the beginning regarding facts (we gave him hell...but, unlike Jamie - Blevins is an intelligent writer who finally realized that within this thread is volumes of research and intelligent researchers who have put yrs in to this case) at their own expense. My "stuff" is all relative simple and most of the real technical parts were found by others - it was the CORE of my story that held the attention. I didn't know what I was doing or where I was going - and I didn't have a vehicle to hitch onto....and people can go back 10 yrs ago and 14 yrs ago - and my story remains the same. What I didn't understand about what I knew - I have been guided thru by the guys here and by the many others who contacted me....we reach NO conclusive points, but no one has been able to say NO that Weber WAS not Cooper - at least not yet. I don't remember who said what, but something was said in the forum and my knowledge that if I didn't make the trip NOW, I would never be able to make it, gave me the courage to draw-out some savings and get on the plane to OR and WA. I was there for 15 days and there are still things I didn't find and things I need to go back about - but, now it is in the hands of the Creator., I had to prove to myself the things I saw and the places we went existed and the things he said had meaning. I found all of it - my memory and my mind were intact - there was no "misremembering" or "story-telling" or "fantasy" involved. At least I accomplished this and it proves NOTHING to anyone but me - other than proving Duane had a history in the areas and the information is still coming in. If nothing else my trip got the FBI's attention and I have done almost all I can do. The Coure d'Alene thing is not over and someone doesn't want that information available - WHY? I guess if I was able to and could afford another trip it would be to spend a week in that area going thru old archived newspapers and arrest records and putting Duane's pictures in every Newspaper and Senior center for a 50 mile radius. I know in my heart and soul that if Duane was not - Cooper he knew who was.....and the key to this lies in that area....and a little of it lies in Bend, OR. and Sherman County, OR.
