You have NO idea what is going on - and you have a pleasant and perhaps a very confusing situation ahead of you. I am still trying to evaluate your fathers past. Where was he in 1962 to 1964? Most important where was he from 1968 to 1970? Do the very best you can do - there are lots of things riding on this - for everyone ever involved in this convoluted situation.....it could be I AM AGAIN connecting Dot that do not Connect...but this one is worth a shot. Where was your father in 1969? Did he make a trip during that time perhaps explaining it as business or looking for a job. If you don't know do you have aunts or uncles who might have this information? Was he in the Atlanta area, S.C. or N.C. or Alabama (Mobile /N. Orleans area)during 1969? I need for you to be as specific as you can be. If you do not want to or do not care to share this information with me privately - that is your choice. The DNA they extracted from items I had washed and cleaned and put on garage sales. The hair may have been from a man who tried the suit on (it was too long and too straight to be Duane's). Also the tie was not handled according to DNA procedures - DNA was not protected in 1971. The items I kept had been kept in a FL humid attic for 8 yrs when they retrived it. It was almost 5 yrs before they did the test on the items they retrived. 13 yrs afters after Duane Weber died before they tested his DNA from things I expect had none of Duane's DNA. The FBI - goofed and left the DNA report - names of technicians and date and report in the BOX with the items when they returned them to me 5 yrs after they collected them. Since the tie was not reported until several hours after the plane was on the ground in Reno and was between the seat neatly folded over - until a witness report states that tie and the one they saw on Cooper are one and the same - there is NO proof the tie belonged to Cooper. The plane was on the last leg of route with many stops. Jason states: reading what "Flo" said in regards to this most recent candidate, I think my father is even more likely it. Jo States: Over the yrs Florence claimed per the writers - when she saw Coffelt's Photo. "Oh, my God " and claimed she didn't think she would ever see face again - I would have to look it up to get her exact wording. Upon viewing a photo of Christiansen she said 'I think you are on to something" She has so far been unreliable being consistent with identifying photos of suspects...per the 2 I just quoted. Tina is the one with the most "Cooper" contact and she isn't talking.

Anyway you can enhance that tattoo? Are you sure it is a Military Tattoo? Do you remember any wording on it? Duane had 2 tattoos - one appeared to be Military - US NAVY and all that - but I was told it was a tattoo that had been altered in prison. I note that is on his left Forearm....please try to remember what the wording was and what you think it was. Kids usually ask parents these things. What was his answer? I am trying to work you thur some of the very same things I have had to work thru. Getting mad and misquoting people or being rude or angry doesn't help. In 1979 or early 1980 - Duane had the company pull the Rock Springs and Green River accounts since we had some write-in's in and around the area. Upon arriving in the area and checking into a local motel...I started to call the accounts to arrange appointments. Duane had a write-in lead in Lander and he mentioned knowing a man there. So while I was trying to set our week set-up on the phone - he goes to Lander. Guess who lived in Lander during this time period? If any of you have done your research on anything I have told you - you will know a man Duane claimed to have known (a smokejumper)- was living in Lander in at this time. Paperlegs! One might ask How I remember these things. Until I found out recently a man Duane claimed to know lived in Lander during that time - it was just part of the past with no reason to make any connections. Rock Springs resulted in NO SALES - and we had to push some of the meager appts up because a front was coming in.

Check back in is thread regarding the misinformation made available on that particular program. What they did with the editing caused some what of an embarassment to some of those who participated. Information was taken out of context...with the correct information ending up on the cutting room floor. Individuals who participated in that particular program currently post or have posted on this site in the past. Why I walked away from the media in 2002 and NO longer communicate with any of them unless it is the written word. This same thing happend regarding articles and documentaries related to Weber. What happens is that the individuals doing the editing and cutting have absolutely little or NO knowledge of the facts of the crime - nor have they made a concerted effort to sort out the myths and facts....ALL they care about is how they can make that particular show appeal to the viewer. Safe Crack Stated: If it's in a PM, then you can safely assume there's a reason for it, and ignoring this for your own benefit is opening yourself up for litigation. Then Jamie Stated: thank you for your opinion and I assume genuine concern but, I welcome anyone who wants to sue me. bring it on. I'm not one to slither away from threats or those whose deeds require secrecy and cover of darkness. I receive death threats on nearly a monthly basis. that just goes with the territory of being well known. To Jamie and others: Perhaps others choose to live with death threats - some of us have been exposed to the media and are elderly or unable to defend ourselves from perpetrators. Being on the internet makes those who do NOT hide their idenitiy behind a thread avatar become open targets. I found this out the hard way, but have guarded certain aspects of my life. Divulging very private information intended to assist another is not only inapproriate, but very RUDE. No one knows who Orange, 377, Smoking99, Safecrack and most others are, In this thread the only known individuals are Myself and Sluggo and Jerry (past poster). He needs to respect the privacy of those of us who know this crime better than most - and who stand to be harmed not only physically, but finanacially - etc. lawsuits by others. Doesn't he know that is why names and addresses and specific information that would identify certain individuals is redacted by the freedom of information act? If this is the tone this thread is going to take - I am sure many of us will be departing (good thing I have a date stamped on the bottom of my foot). Earlier today I came to the thread to make a post, but got side tracked. Because of something going on in my life right now I was trying to be very objective. When the days get shorter and our time on earth is coming to an end - perhaps we see things more clearly than others. I had been thinking about WHY did Cooper choose the OR, WA and ID area? Why did he choose Seattle? 1. He had to have been familiar with the area at one point in his life. 2. Seattle in 1971 was considered one of the metro areas and the money would be more accessible. 3. Cooper's association in the N.W. had to be one that went back several yrs...not recent or someone would ID him. 4. Cooper had experience or was exposed to combat jumping or smokejumping. 5. Any related experience Cooper had was obtained using another name NOT connected (by records) to the name he currently used. 6. Cooper was a NOBODY, meaning he had no friends and he kept his distance from close relationships. 7. He probably live on the other side of the US or in Canada. 8. He was able to change his appearance just by how he stood and portrayed himself. Florence Shaffner thought he was making a pass at her. 9. No mention has EVER been made about Cooper's teeth - wonder why? 10. The FBI claims the money went on the plane in a whitish bag, yet other witnesses have stated differently. Not one passenger came forward saying they saw a White Bank Bag. 11. Cooper had to be a NOBODY. 12. How does a NOBODY do what Cooper did and GET away with NOBODY knowing who he was? I think Cooper did NOT expect to survive and he went back to the only place he had ever felt normal or thought he had a chance for a normal life. Perhaps this was a place of GOOD memories and one of the only times in his life he was FREE and HAPPY...and thought he really had a chance for a normal life. It is also why Cooper was very sad - he was going back to die where he had been happy. Not sure if he planned it very far inadvance. In the prisons they always talked about doing the BIG ONE. This talk about doing the BIG ONE is why the FBI got so many leads from the prison system. The most prevalent of the leads the FBI received came out of Jefferson, MO regarding Coffelt, but he was NOT incarcerated there to my knowledge. Cooper was a lost soul searching for something or someone to hold on to. He was Co-dependent on the system to provide him security. Perhaps he thought he would be killed or arrested. Maybe he never expected to survive...he had spent most of his adult life in prison. I believe that WA and OR and ID was the only FREEDOM he had ever known - a time when he was HAPPY. I do know that Duane Weber made an earnest effort to change his life, but he didn't get it quiet right for a while - he had a learning curve. He had to learn how to make a living without stealing - and it amazes me to this day how he sold insurance for the first 12 yrs of our marriage and for several yrs prior to my meeting him. I think about the story he told a prior wife about going back to CA and WA to see about his inheritance. Because Duane was a bad boy - his brother and sister got everything his parents left. I have not been able to find a copy of the will, so I don't know that for sure. What the brother told me is all I have to go on. Was this the grudge - did the brother use the inheritance to invest in some property in WA around Tacoma? Both Duane and the brother told me about this property - so this is NO secret. I do know the property was to the East of I-5 and that it was Commercial...what yrs I don't know. The brother had a partner, but I do not know that name. What would make a man so desperate he would skyjack a plane? How could he possibly think he could get away with this? All of the rest of them got caught, but Cooper got away. This mystery will go on and on and on until the day Cooper is revealed if ever. I am trying to say all that I can say in the next few wks - if I bore you just ignore my posts. Soon everyone who might hold the answers to the identity of Cooper will be deceased - I may be one the only one left and my days may have a number stamped on them. In 1995 I didn't know anything about Cooper other than the fact that a man jumped out of plane and was never caught. It was NOT anything I had any reason to remember. The strange twists life puts infront of us - you look back and you say why and how, but then you know. At the age of 55 Cooper was dumped into my lap and it has consumed my life. Now at the age of 70+ I feel like these 15 yrs have been wasted and for what? I was married to him for 17 yrs and for 15 yrs I have chased Cooper....I know the truth - why is it important anyone else know? They don't really care - they like the legend better. If anyone has any REAL questions to ask me they need to ask them now. You don't need to put it in the thread - as all of you know my email address. I talked to a PI about doing some research for me in a place I didn't get to go to. I don't feel I can actually afford this, but I have to have answers about Coure D'Alene, ID. The KEY to Cooper is there...his connection there is the KEY. The FBI didn't look at this 15 yrs ago and they won't do it now. This is one time that if the FBI has any information on Duane Weber's connections to that area they should speak now or forever hold their piece...and I do mean piece, not peace! If my memory holds the one thing that will put Duane in a chute - they will piss in their pants. If I felt like going out there I know what I am looking for - a PI might not see it, but I would. I would search arrest records for certain yrs - NOT looking for a name, but for an age bracket in a certain period of time. Then I would search all of the newspaper archives for those yrs regarding solved and unsolved crimes. Duane Weber could NEVER go back there - WHY? Why did he tell me that? What would be so bad that if you went back after 25 yrs - who would care? Later remind me to tell you the story about Lander, WY., but right now I have to get some rest. No one expected me to remember all of this stuff...and I don't know how I do. Today I saw a photo of myself taken on the farm - I don't remember posing for the photo (aprox age 13) or the stupid necklace I had on (vaguely remembered the dress and even though the photo was black and white - the dress was definitely blue). If any of you will take the time to enlarge the photo Jamie presented of his father in the Cowboy outfit. Note: need verification when this photo was taken. I enlarged and what I found was a mouth full of missing and decaying teeth. If this photo was taken after the crime - then there would have been witness accounting of these missing and decayed upper teeth. Weber had a lower particial when I met him on his lower teeth, but he never ever removed it - and I never saw him without it. Frankly I wonder why the FBI or the witnesses NEVER mentioned the condition of Cooper's teeth. Surely the witnesses would have taken note of this. If I was terrified of someone - I would look at their mouth and not just their eyes. The mouth and eyes are representative of how we display anger or pleasure. I believe he could be one of those Jasons. There is a 4th Jason I have had no access to and this Jason was connected to Duane Weber in a remote way. This Jason would be in 60's...and I have tried to get messages to him that I need to talk to him. One of the Jason's I rule out as he hails from another part of the country. Another Jason is ON target for "Jamie", but this may just be a coincidence. Much of Jason's story seems to be gleaned from things I have told over the yrs - 101, Unsolved Mysteries and in the DZ. Also a lot of this information seems like information he may have gleaned from Knoss...there was more than one part of his story I believe was fed to him by Knoss, These 2 items are things I NEVER told to anyone, but Knoss. Remember by mixing fiction with truth was how - tried to find out if the many people contacting me were real or just someone wanting to get on the band wagon. That is not to say that is the case in hand, but causes me to doubt his story. It seems one to be built around information gathered about other suspects and one specific thing that only I know. As for his question about how the age of Cooper was determined - is in this thread and also answered by the FBI. The witness accounts where all on target regarding approx age. If Jason was born in 1970 he would be 40 yrs old now. I am supposing I did understand that Jason was only a baby in 1971. I did not read anything about the age of Jason's father. I will state for the record if Jason's father was born after 1934 there is NO way his father could remotely be Cooper. If a susoect was younger than 35 (in 1971) it just does NOT compute with the known descriptions of Cooper. It is known weather and conditions make a person appear older - but a picture of his father in 1971 or (a date that was close that can be verified) - would hold some weight in his story. If his father was younger than 35 in 1971 - then he was not Cooper.

Unless you're saying that Duane did all this in the 35-day period that remained in 1971 AFTER the hijacking...then he obviously got the money to do these things from another source than the ransom. Side note: The interviews are evidence I have shared on this thread, nothing more. I may have the yr wrong on the purchase - 1971 or 1972. Haven't felt like pulling any records because they are so massive. I have a picture with the vehicles taken in 1972. He divored this wife and remarried in the Summer of 1972... Per a conversation with the ex-wife (1962 - June 1972): She said they bought both vehicles after she went back to him in early 1972. Claimed they separated in Nov 1971 and he called and begged her to come back the early part of 1972. He had a gash on his forehead and he was recovering from what he said was a fall from trimming a tree in the front yard. She never deviated much from that story, but there were variations. As I have said before she would call me at 1 AM and 2 AM in the morning ( 2 and 3 AM my time). Because she wanted to talk I would call her back on my nicklel and I have the phone bills to prove it. After she returned to GA, they continued to have marital problems. Neither she nor Duane ever mentioned a supposed suicide attempt that took place in 1972...I was informed about this by a 3rd party at a much later date. The back brace was just something I did not understand and it was a curiosity. Maybe at one time he had a bad back - but I NEVER heard him complain about his back...but, he seldom complained about anything. Since that is ALL Greek to me I am assuming due to prior discussion that he could have had a walkie talkie - and that makes absolute sense with what the ex told me about how they used they CB and Walkie Talkie, The cell phone of the 60's with a short range? I guess this could work on the ground as long as one was mobile and crusing certain areas waiting for a signal at a specific time. Then on to the next spot and then rotate back...until you find each other. Why not just break into a house and make a phone call. At least Blevins is aware that I have as much as he has and more - but, I didn't put it in book, but relayed it all to the FBI and to Himmelsbach. I think most of what I told Himmelsbach DID not get relayed and I just could not form an effective means of communication with the FBI that worked..... just stopped and put it in this thread for the last few yrs. At least it is out there - What Really Happend and all of the conjectures and could have beens are here in one place - at the courteousy of the DZ. I had more of the pieces than anyone else did - I just didn't have enough early on to put the thing together and no one to help me find the missing pieces. Now 14 yrs later - I do what I should have done in 1996 (the trip), but was unable to afford at that time. Now pieces of the puzzle do come together, but then some of the pieces are lost for ever - due to death and some damaged due to time. I admit readily that things are now getting confused in my memory because of time and stress and progressing age. They are relative minor and make little or no difference to anyone but me. One is the description of that "thing" with the connectors. I didn't really pay much attentions to it then and my memory of it is faulty. Someone put a couple of things up they thought it might be - but, I just didn't know...and I cannot remember what he said about this item other than it was used by skyjumpers. That is the extent of my memory on this thing. I do remember it was in a glass jar with a lid and there was some hooks and thing in there with it...and my asking what it was for. CB's, 2-way radios (walkie talkies), a gyromatic piece of equipment such as a very accurate Gyro watch and metal staves in a back brace and a compass. Just things Duane talked about and some I saw and questioned. Explain to me if any of you geniuses can do a make shift directional or locator device with those items. Was there a way to use these items so you would know where the "Hat" was located or receive its communication or where someone was on the ground and how far or in what direction? I know a compass gives direction, but put it with the rest of the items. There was some kind of thing in a narrow container like the inside of a empty flashllght. but made of soft fabric - some kind of connectors on it. What was it? Perhaps it was some kind of flashlight, but nothing like I have ever seen. It could be attached to a belt or maybe put on his arm. These are just things, but they all came up within a very short period of time...I saw none of this until 1990 after his little mystery trip to a state or a city that started with an O and this is also the time frame the ticket stub and bank bag became known to me. Early 1990. the actually plane ticket I did not see until 1994. I am not playing games - I am looking for some answers to some very unusual items Duane had...and some strange things he said. They were like your conversations in the past posts above that I did NOT understand and just forgot the explanation he told me. If this soft thing held a battery and he was able to make a connection to metal staves in a brace - is there a communication coming from that "hat" that would cause a vibrations? when he was near the "Hat". Ok! Now I have proved I am an idiot...but suddenly we have all of these pilots and individuals who are inventive - what do you get out of the above? To me it was Junk, but it was Junk he treasured and explained it - but, I forgot what he said. By the way I have approached this question before in the forum and then it got side tracked, but I really need to know since we have new "blood" in the thread who seem to be pilots and men familiar with these kind of things. 377 threw something out there before - but, I know he did something - and I am not sure the gyro had a thing to do with it. Well, I was told other flights were held that might intercept with the flight path after the Highjacked plane had left - and until the pilot told those waiting for news stated - He thought their passgenger had left them. He (a person who definitely knows) said the air space was CLEARED. They had search planes doing figure eights back and forth above the 727. Some smaller craft went into air hoping to locate the 727...Himmelsbach was on one of those crafts. Another plane left several minutes after the 727 from Seattle to Portland - with a slightly different route. It was my understanding this plane was NOT released until the 727 was out of it airspace. - SO how many minutes before the 727 cleared the WA area? Time and space - I agree that Cooper missed his target because of factors he did not consider. Had the weather have been better and had he considered the delay the angle of the Flaps made...he would probably have hit his target. His target was Near the old 500, but he landed North of there and made the best of the situation he could. He improvised, but feared his target might already have been discovered. He took the only alternative route he had - follow the power lines and the pipelines. He knew where to go. I have asked the FBI about a car that was left just north of the old 500 near a field, but never got any answers. This car probably had WA tags as the owner lived in WA. It was a borrowed car - and the owner was known to Cooper. Duane knew 2 individuals who were living in the area during that time...but, the vehicle could have been taken without their permission. If one of these individuals was out of the "states' the vehichle may have been in storage...but, Duane would have known how to get access to the vehicle. How quickly did the FBI investigate every car left along the road or in a field? It was awhile because they weren't looking that far South. Just a guess from somethings I know none of you know and that I have never been able to state in this forum or anywhere else except to the FBI, but I didn't realize my words where falling on deaf ears as far as the FBI was concerned. It is also possible the vehicle was picked-up and returned to its regular place and never missed by the owner since he was out of town. Quade: HELP! What happened to the size of the text in the forum. It got so little I can't read it. Is it something with my computer or the site? My daughter said the same thing happened with Face Book and they got so many complaints they reverted back. Most people over 50 can't read the small print. I am find this when I search certain sites, but my email has stayed the size it was. Is this something I have done or is this going to be universal with all computer sites now? Or DID my eyes just go out on me the last few days. Anyone else experiencing this or is it me and my computer? First it was the print on the shampoo and the ingredients on everything.
