Jo, In case you were addressing me with that remark, be aware that I do "know about 1971 and WHAT was available and NOT available" as well as 1961, 1951, 1941, and all the others since then. Heard from another player in the Cooper Game. You all know who he is and this is a summary of what was said and what he asked: Consistently for several yrs has gone on and on about Denny Nichols and now tells me this man was in Bay of Pigs and in the service with McCoy. Claims Nichols was a parchutist and assigned to train Duane. He proceeded to ask me if I had any pictures of Nichols and any references to Operation 40. I simply informed him that Mc Coy was not Cooper and I didn't know anything about Operation 40 and little about Mr. Nichols other than what he himself has told...NONE of which was ever verifiable. I replied with " This is your story, Not mine!" I don't want to say anything bad about him, as I know how others view me. In the beginning I listened to his story evolve and I baited him with "lies" which I copied to another man who I considered trust worthy and still do...so someone would know what I was doing. He would then come back with the "stories" about the bait and eventually I just WALKED away. I had to. The only thing I have derived to this date is that he did Know Duane and he Did know the wife, because he placed the 2 of them in Bloomington at a time the wife of the times verified although not in the same time period. There will always be something about his story that haunts me - but, I can't put my finger on it. Don't you guys dare say he is the male version of Jo. I listen to reason and my story has always been the same. Funny - a man I thought was him called himself Snow on a forum and the antics of this "Snow" got the forum shut down. Curious though - what was Operation 40 or is this just in his mind. What the F--- would Denny Nichols have to do with Skyjack? Who is this Nichols? I know who I was led to believe he was - BUT? Since we have explored many things - maybe we need to look at the things he claims. It's just the news footage of the passengers getting off the plane. There is a shot of a guy holding a paper and string wrapped package (about the size of a phone book). You've no doubt seen it before. Thank You. Yes, I have seen that photo and somewhere I have the name of the man. He was one of the guys who boarded in Missoula. The package was probably something he was taking home for Thanksgiving to his family. One can be sure the FBI did verify what was in that package. What 1:06 are you talking about. Is it a picture of the plane while it was on the ground. Remember I only have dial-up and cannot play those clips. Can you FREEZE the segment you are talking about and post it? Please. I have always wondered WHY no pictures are shown of the FBI agent delivering the "package". I have consistently claimed the money did NOT go out of that plane in the Whitish Bank bag, but it is like a tree falling in the forest. The money went out of that plane in a "satchel" or case with a flat rectangular bottom. It was large enough to hold 2 very large city phone books...such as N.Y. or Chicago with room left over. It was not as wide at the phone books - so you have to picture them placed into the container with the spine down and consider the flexibility of the phone books. There would still have been room on the ends to consider because a phone book is only 11 inches long. Since I have never seen a N.Y. phone book I have to go by what someone told me...someone else who saw that container and whose description was the same as the container I donated to the Mission after Duane died. We may never know what was in the paper bag or WHY the FBI was never able to present the paper bag into evidence. I still think it may have been rubbers he put over his shoes that buckled at the ankle. I also know that Duane had a pair of shoes he held onto for yrs, but he never wore them because they were out of style. The were a pebble/alligator grain - they came up high with a zipper. I currently have no recall of the color, but I did in the past. I just did worse than that - ate 3/4 of a coconut creme pie with a merigue - Now that is a reason to blush. Oh, and I am 5 ft 6-1/2 inches tall and weigh 122 lbs - and gluten intolerant (celiacs) so the damn thing did NOT taste anything like my fabulous pies of past days. Also I do NOT look like a Bag Lady - someone in WA and OR gave that description to another party. I expect it was because I wore Sandals with socks. I am unable to walk safely with large clunky rubber soled shoes due to a hip and knee problem...nor can I find shoes to fit 9 AAAA or 9 SS. I also use a cane for support due for the knee and hip (but not in my home or on familiar territory). I was unable to carry my warm coat due to the bulk so layered my clothes (but, had to buy a nylon light quited jacket at a thrift store because it got so cold). I had a baggy pair of pants I wore in the room at night for comfort. When I would go outside to have my night time smoke - I had already taken my hair down and just had it in a rubber band at the back of my neck. So I guess I looked like a BAG LADY to them standing outside in the cold all bundled up hovering in an alcove to poison my lungs. They don't have rooms in WA or OR with private balconies you can use to smoke on. I do not smoke in my own home nor in my car...but the tension I experienced on that trip caused me to regress from my 2 or 3 a day to the point I stopped counting. Now I am having a hard time getting back to the 2 or 3 a day and some days none at all...I am what you call a sneak smoker...and a tension smoker. Well, so I made it up - have to have an excuse. I got a kick out of the BAG LADY thing. The Real Cooper searchers are SURE very very very quiet right now...probably just the holiday coming up or could it be SOMETHING is getting ready to POP? Does anyone have any photos of the OLD RED LION which was on the WA side at the foot of the bridge just off of I-5. I saw the new one, but it does NOT look like it did in 1979 when Duane took me to Vancouver. Can anyone in the area obtain photos of the old building prior to 1979. Better yet - photos from 1971 or before of the old motel. This picture is obviously taken in the fall as the leaves have fallen off the tree in the back ground. I am the one who provided an approximate date for the photo, I did this by comparing it with other photos provided to me by the ex-wife of that time era. Mostly by camera use - I have no knowledge with which to base this on. I do not know if the hotel was called The Red Lion in 1971. I under stood it was marked with an X - but, then that also might be a rumor. The paper sack - was a lunch size paper sack and I have always believed he carried something on he picked-up on the last minute - such as hooks to connect the container with the money to a support he had around his waist or rubbers ankle rubbers for his shoes. This support was like a back supporter - with staves in it. These metal staves - with the right apparatus could pick-up some kind of vibrations. I believe 377 discounted my theory on this long ago. Duane also told me about his wife making him a bag he could use to carry things around his waist ...but never told me what for. The ex-wife also told me some strange things before she died which to this day I can make NO sense out. She also mentioned this waist container she made for him. Similar to the fanny packs of today, but less obvious and with pockets all around it...I cannot even imagine what that was for or why she made such a container for him other than so he could put stolen wallets and items in it to avoid being suspect by security when he commited thefts from hotel rooms or in bars. I have posted a strange picture of Duane which was among the items that appeared in our home in 1990. When my daughter looked at the picture she said the same thing I was thinking - "What does he have on under that jacket". We knew Duane for many yrs..and during those early yrs he was NOT portly as he appears in this picture which I am reposting. I do NOT know when this picture was made nor where...I have inquired of the forum if they could ID the area in the past. Can anyone explain this picture other than to say he was heavy because at that time he did NOT have a belly and when he did acquire one it WAS NOT that high. You take the least little thing and turn it into TRASH. I have done nothing except to describe the things that I experienced with Duane over the yrs. I have not embellished. YOU were NOT there - if you were then MAYBE you would understand. I am not a writer and all I know how to do is make an accounting in the best way I know how. Just because you and others might not have my ability for recall is not my fault and this does not make me someone who is changing a story. Perhaps I should humilitate myself by bragging a little about my ability of recall. In 1996 I went to take the FL Real Estate examine. The average grade was around 78. After the examination 5 of us where asked to remain while everyone else was dismissed. Since my last name started with a W...I commented upon enter the room that I was used to being last. He told me that WAS NOT the REASON I was last. Asked me to sit down and swear to an oath. My eyes must have been big as saucers - I thought OH my GOD what did I do! He proceeded to tell me I had scored a 98 and this had NEVER been done before. He also told me they took the liberty of viewing the answer sheet, BECAUSE the score was so high. Had I NOT have erased two correct answers I would have had a perfect score - NEVER DONE in the history of that test. To this day when I go back to Pace I am introduced to the younger agents as the REASON for the FL Real Estate Exam being so hard. First and foremost -I am not really that smart. I just had an uncanny ability to recall what I have seen and read. I was an above average high schools student but not the head of the class. Some subjects I despised and did NOT excel in. I hated foreign lanuage - and to this day I still do...my mind will not let me assimilate information that way. Math, science, history, geography, physic and english I did well in and those are the things that kept my over all score above average thru high scool...Latin and French - I barely survived (by barely survived I mean B's or B minus just was not acceptable) to my standards..but was the BEST I could do with those 2 courses. Having book knowledge and common sense are 2 different animals. I did lack the common sense thing - Hence MOST likely to get lost in a crowd. I did not and still do not always get HUMOR and I cannot tell a joke. I have NOT wanted to talk about this ability of past recall and being able to excell in certain areas, but your CONSTANT attacks have caused me to do something I did NOT want to do in a public forum. THEREFORE, if you cannot remember when you were 3 yrs old - then STOP attacking my recall ability. I could BRAG about some other things, BUT let it go at that. Write your dirty little stories, but don't write about me or rewrite what I have said and make it sound DIRTY. This is the very REASON I have NOT let anyone TELL my story. Every writer out here thinks they have to engarnish the truth with lies and dirt....the truth will always stand the test of time. Duane WAS NOT in Leavenworth. He was in Jefferson. In 1950's he was San Quentin. I try to be VERY SPECIFIC, because I am very deeply involved in this. I am sure the guys here will set you straight. What I did notice was the last url you used was the sound track for a Perry Como Record done in 1939 - how come that guy didn't look a lot like the Perry Como I grew up with? Note Perry Como's hair on that cover. How many people remember Como looking like that. The Perry Como we all knew had straight hair and parted on the side. Funny! Was there a reason for using this Perry Como Cover? Or just an accident with no motive. I've jumped from a jet but I'd balk at the courageous bluff Duane "thought out". So OK. We've established that Duane had the balls to tacitly threaten to shoot a guy who wouldn't let his wife gain access to the rest room. And a concealed screwdriver is to a gun as road flares are to dynamite. We are making progress. 377 Not sure if we would call it progress, but one thing for sure it is true, not to mention really funny when I think about it. I like the comparison - screwdriver and not gun flares and not dynamite That was not my reason for telling about the bar incident. I only told the bar incident because I trying to remember the people Duane met in the area he had known from the past. The last comment was in retrospect - and amusing. Duane did have a way of thinking SOME things thru. He was very innovative about how things worked and how to make them work. He knew a lot about many things - and inretrospect I thought these were skills he learned in prison. Wood work, repairs, forestry, CB's, wiring, building things - he was a jack of all trades yet he sold insurance for a living. I remember when the guys next door to us in VA where pouring some cement. Duane was watching and them and told me he was going out to help -"These guys don't have a clue what they are doing". He went out and started to give instructions (in a nice way). Afterward they stated they could never have done it without him - I am not sure what they were doing wrong and maybe they were just being kind to a man old enough to be their Fathers. Senior residents of the Canon City area also told me a strange military presence in that area when I started to investigate Duane's background. Since Duane had reconnected with 3 guys in Ft. Collins area and Denver he knew from his past - he had every MOTIVATION to get out of the area very quickly after the money find in February of 1980. One of these guys played in a bar in a town South of Ft. Collins. It was a HOLE in tbe Wall bar. The guy played the steel guitar. The man's name was Rick and her's was Elaine. The man knew Duane from the past. This is the bar we went in where some young squirt would not let me pass in order to enter the rest room. When I quickly came back to my seat and told Duane what the man said, he got up and WALKED out of the bar and came back in with this large bulge under his leather dress jacket. Everyone in the bar who was aware of Duane's sudden trip to the car and the bulge in his jacket and what the young man had said to me had their eyes peeled our way. In fact if someone had dropped a glass about that time there might have been panic. Duane just sat there and glared at the man who had acted inappropriately. This young man immediately came over and was VERY apologetic about his behaviour to both Duane and me....explaining he had drank too much and that he was leaving. Duane accepted his apology and after the young man exited the bar - Duane pulled this LARGE (HUGE) SCREW DRIVER out of his coat and set it on the bar. The bar was in a ROAR. This steel guitar player and his wife had bought a motor home and where headed on a trip. At Christmas time we received a package from ANYWHERE, USA. Inside was a large gold painted Screw Driver with their names on it. I still have that Screw Driver. Now was this the ACT of a coward or a man who thought out the situation? Not sure why you are so smug about this one in particular, seeing as they think Duane is a wrong suspect too. Try go back and read your post objectively - pretty nasty, you seem to be enjoying the thought of someone else potentially being embarrassed with numerous laughs and smiles. Not exactly sweet little old lady stuff, more like vindictive little old lady stuff. Didn't I call it a ROAST! Have you ever been to a ROAST! It is all done in jest and in fun. These are done when the person has usually made some kind of major contribution to his cause or profession. I have had worst things said about me and not in jest or in a Roast. ALSO - note: I mentioned this had been sent to me by an outside party and that I "cleaned" it up. The original was really a ROAST big time! Jerry dictated to the crew where to take me - they didn't take me to anything I asked about and they didn't use him as the guide. They took me to Tena's bar and asked to dig in the sand and they wanted it to appear that was where Duane took me - NOT SO and I refused and walked away. The TV crew didn't take me to the places I had tried to describe and when I went out there I was at their mercy as I had not seen a detailed map of the area. All I had was a N.W states map with several states on it. You could not see Lake LaCamas on it. You could NOT see the Washougal River on it. I had NO details with which to work. Only after I returned did someone provide me with a proper map of the area and it was only of the LaCames area...and a state map. I did not have county maps like I obtained before I went out there this time. I didn't have the money in 2001 to order a bunch of maps or to make a trip on my own - so PLEASE if you can't say something nice then just don't even talk to me. I was in a car with 3 other people and they only wanted a story and I was nervous about the cameras - my going out there was NOT how I expected it. They were supposed to have someone who knew the area well. It was a college student who had been in the area for 2 yrs. NOW you figure out how I worked around that. Had my last husband has not left me some funds to work with I would not have been able to have afforded this trip. I took a great deal of risk making this trip and I have spent 14 yrs of my life fighting for the truth - so you know what you can do with your attitude. FLush it! Well, Georger - I guess you will have to get your FBI buddies to go back into the files and jog their memories as to who he is. Maybe he will talk to them now and maybe he won't. He is a private person and doesn't want his life disrupted. I for one know what kind of turmoil it causes...therefore I won't be handing his name over to anyone. Enough lives have been destroyed by Cooper. Those actually involved and with all of the myths and suspects over the yrs, lots of innocent individuals have had their reputations and characters assaulted by the media and the FBI. The FBI has also been victimized by Cooper, but I do think they have to be held accountable - this is their job. Cooper was just a stupid Crook who out foxed the FBI or maybe he was just lucky. There is a track on the Southside of the Lewis river at the old Chelathchie Mill - infact a spur goes up into the deep forest there toward Tumtum Mtn. It may not be there now, but it was in 1971. The damn Power lines run above that area. I didn't get to talk to the man who saw the guy walking and I will feel a lot better about the location when he consents to talk with me. The second hand party said this siting was around Swift Dam, but he was on his way to work and the wife may have misunderstood exactly the location he was referring to. The map that was marked for me by the third party - had one error that I caught and this could be yet another. We are talking communication between 3 parties here and I am the fourth. But IF this 4th party is correct there is a log truck bridge around Swift Dam and she didn't think that was very far from the tracks. Not some documentary crew that had only one thing in mind - sensationalism and whatever Jerry Thomas had filled their heads with (hell, they didn't even know where Lake LaCamas was and Jerry had told them there WAS NO BODY of water that fit what I was describing other than the Columbia). This was like having a conversation a 4 yr old. I kept looking for where those hand carts where kept during those days - and that spur around the Chelatchie mill was it. Somewhere I have a map that shows more tracks - private tracks deep into the forest...but that is not what we are looking for here. I am not trying to put Cooper anywhere - I was trying to find the places Duane took me. I did NOT know how close all of these places where until I was behind the wheel of the car and doing the driving. I'm not going to latch onto it. I'm just going to discount it. 'Shake Cooper off the stairs?' You must be kidding. They could invert trying that maneuver and end up in pieces on the ground. Bill Rataczak (who by the way does NOT go by the nickname 'Rat') said that the crew followed Cooper's instructions to the letter once they were airborne out of Seattle. As he has testified, they were worried that Cooper might carry out his threat. All they wanted at that point is to be rid of him, land in Reno, and go home as quickly as possible. Radar evidence does not show Flight 305 making large altitude changes or flight diversions between the time they left Seattle and Cooper jumped. Good Boy because part of it was bait. Just a little something I received in the mail today, but I did change some of the wording and excluded some of the things I felt a little too much. With Blevins book about to hit the streets - time for a ROAST. Rumors running around WA:

Smoking - I had that info, but I was looking for more specific data regarding 1945 to 1949. Thanks Anyway! That flight path map is not detailed enough to show anything and that has been a problem - because you can't read it you can't compare it with anything else. I will defer to eyewitness accounts. 4 individuals site the plane North of Heisson. The plane was low enough they thought it was in trouble and went running out of the house. One states he could see the image of the plane behind layered clouds (which if you understand this would make the plane seem closer to the ground). Evidently this was a result of what-ever lights the plane itself emitted. 1 individual reported a man walking somewhere in the vicinity of a log truck bridge South/east of Cougar at the crack of dawn the next morning. Another witness believed the plane was West of Mount ST Helens due to the above. The idiot was walking on a road in business clothes and carrying a bag. The railroad track was very near the above point and I believe he realized by staying on the road he would get caught after this early morning traveler passed him. Since the Tracks where very near there the accessibility of the pump car presented itself. Cooper had already exited the plane by the time it went over Heisson - perhaps the pilot hesitated after he felt the pressure bump..and that might contribute to the plane sounding so low to one witness. Regarding the hair - I didn't know Duane in 1971 so anything I say is conjecture about his appearance taken from the photos I have. I just have to follow my gut and what I know and what I find. I can show you pictures of his hair being silky and straight but with a little wave - except he was completely gray and the texture of the hair changes with age and health. This was in high humidity FL. Frankly I think the plane made a diversion somewhere around Mt. St. Helens in an attempt to shake Cooper off the stairs...could be why the plane lost altitude around that area (if the witnesses where correct in stating how low they thought the plane was). No one would ever admit this - but it is a reasonable conjecture when you consider the sitings and the location of the sitings. Watch Blevins latch on this story!
