Hey, Orange don't give me a hard time on that last post - Blevins was asking for it and Georger deleted his post before Blevins could see it. The Raleighs had coupons on them and people saved them for nice little trinkets and junk. I have often wonder if that is not where the name Cooper came from. Dan said the first part of his name and cut it short and then looked down at the pack in his hand and said Couuper. Exactly the way Weber Coooed out Cooper when he told me he was Dan Cooooper. According to Himmeslback - the bag was small - lunch bag size. Remember back in 1971 - the sandwiches were normal and not supper sized and not put in boxes then in a bag. To me this means 5 to 6 inches wide and 3 to 4 inches deep. Tall enough to fold over at the top - so the height would be between 10 and 8 inches. The standards have change so much over the last 40 yrs...I doubt too many people remember what a lunch bag looks like. For all we know - he bought 2 or 4 packs of smokes before boarding...there was never any mention of his having smokes in the briefcase. Funny how every single piece of tangible evidence that might prove Duane was DBC is "missing". Could there be another logical conclusion one could draw from this state of affairs, such as Duane lied about being Dan Cooper and had nothing to do with Norjack? Please Jo, just consider the possibility. You have no evidence that what Duane told you from his hospital bed was true. You just have unsubstantiated hunches, beliefs and yes... hopes. What does Blevins have, what does Cook have, what does Grey have, what did Tosaw have, what does Himmelsbach have....all of these people had stories to tell and they don't have one iota of proof. All Duane had was one stupid woman who didn't listen to what he told her...or take the time to try to understand what he was talking about. None of them had a suspect take them to the area and point out things that would be significant....how can the FBI say Duane was never in WA when he was? How can they sey he wasn't in Camino when he was? The truth is the FBI did not investigate. We are proving he was in Camino and in Washington , but the FBI doesn't even want me to bring the proof to their office - Write them a Letter. If they have proof Duane WAS NOT Cooper then why don't the produce it and let me get on with my life and get out of their hair? The FBI has not been able to prove Duane was not Cooper and if they could they would have sent me documents that would prove he was not Cooper. They have provided nothing about his past - Zero - Nothing. ALL I have is what I and Doug found. The FBI never produced the Jefferson record other than what is on line....they can't even prove he was a resident of Jefferson for the full time they claim he was there. They did not produce a picture of Duane in Jefferson...mug shots - intake and out put. I believe if anyone produces a picture of Tina as an 8 old child that I will put Duane on that plane. If I didn't believe in miracles and believe what he told me - I would not give up my life to prove it...and that is what I have done. This has cost me not only the time I could have enjoyed my life, but financially also and definitely emotionally and it has affected my health. If I didn't believe with all of my heart and soul that Duane was Dan Cooper - never would I have taken on the challenge. I expected the FBI to find something, but after 4 yrs I realized they had not even looked. Now it is 14 yrs and I know they didn't look. Only with the FBI's co-operation can I put Duane on that plane. If they choose to keep secrets about evidence then not only can I not put Duane on the plane - NO one else can put their sujects on the plane. Now with this other man surfacing claiming that there was a program for ex-cons out of a certain state- and that another suspect was with this same organization - doesn't anyone think that does NOT need to be investigated? Why aren't they doing this - because the man is so powerful and rich and politically connected that he was above reproach. The government sanctioned his actions. Yet, he hired ex-cons - even if for his legitiment business - that is against the law. A licensed Life Insurance agent cannot be a convicted criminal or felon. These men weren't hired to be insurance agents they were trained to infiltrate the mafia and other organizations for information he could use for leverage. I know and understand little about this kind of world and never dreamt my search would take me into the abyss. Protect and do NO harm. Ckret already answered this - the answer is no. I did not remember if this was ever addressed, but I went thru some things and there were items I ignored - packed away and forgot about them...they were in our joint safety deposit box - he put them there when all the other stuff showed up in 1990, but not in his private box. I knew there was another item, but figured he sold this one as a cover for the money he wasn't making in the shop or it was in the Wallet the man found in the VAN. Why was Duane so worried about a lot of false ID in an old beat-up wallet while he was in the hospital? He had removed what ever was in that vault and placed the Magazine in it - before he went to the hospital. My name was not on the vault - and he knew I would not have access to it unless he got it out - but what was it? I think it was proof of what he told me "I'm Dan Cooper" because he got upset with my not understanding what he was trying to tell me. The futures not ours to see, but also the past is often hidden. I did make a post to the B-Blog and sent the guy the official FBI composites. I will note he took down the altered composite, but he never put up the official ones. Publish against you - What do you mean by that? I have an interesting question to ask - something only the FBI could answer. Did the FBI put "bait" in the money that Cooper would not be able to resist and if he ever sold it it would be traceable? Was something put into that package besides $20.00 bills? Perhaps Duane stole this item and/or bought it - perhaps it has nothing to do with the crime...but there were 2 such items and he did sell one of them in 1990, but I do not know how much he was paid for it. Not one of you gave me any feed back about another writer who is claiming his "suspect" which the FBI has NEVER discussed to any extent - also is purported to have worked with a specific insurance company. I don't know if this man is playing with my emotions or if he hijacked Duane's past for his own subject. About 18 months ago he asked me for Duane's SS number and for the John Collins SS number so he could track his employement, but at that time NOT one time mentioned anything about his subject ever working for this same company. He claimed he had talked to someone with the company and this company had a program in the 50's to 70's for ex-cons. He said this program was never made public knowledge. If there was such a program for ex-cons I assure you it was probably not selling insurance. When I tried to track others who knew Duane and worked for this same company (I gave them names), I was told it had something to do with the privacy act. Pooey! They are all dead - so what is the big secret? What were these guys trained for? I believe the program (if it existed) was started in 1960 in Colorado and maybe as early as 1958. This man may just be yanking my chain, but he is a creditable person - with a very long history regarding Cooper and investigations for major TV new articles of the day. If true does this qualify as a possible conspiracy theory. I had many conversations with this man over the last few months and he has lots of information. He claimed to have spoke with someone with the company...but did not give me a name. Perhaps he is just feeding off of the things I have told him. Maybe it is all fiction or a figment of his imagination. Canada/Vancouver HDTV was filming for 3 weeks in Portland, Vancouver, WA, Seattle and Canada. Also used a Boeing at Paine Field in Everett, WA....all about D.B. Cooper (could be one or several of the subjects)...at least they didn't plaster it all over the internet and waited for it to be done. All depends on how accurate the composite is - DARE you to compare the Rose composite which is an official composite, but some of the witnesses had a problem with it just as they had a problem with the two (2) that were used. In all fairness that comparison needs to be made with all of the composites the FBI acquired. Provided by Snow: Dan Cooper by Belgian cartoonist Albert Weinberg (1922-) appeared originally in the weekly TINTIN Magazine. The Cooper strip started in 1954. Weinberg started working for Tintin (Belgian magazine) in 1950. The first issue of Tintin was Sept 25, 1946. The Dan Cooper character existed from 1954-1977. Again, the first Dan Cooper strip, anywhere, was 1954, well after Cochran was on Shemya. Rick Cochran was only on Shemya from 1950-51. His email is available here, along with confirmation of 1950-1951. (he was there for only about 8 months?). (edited out something here because I didn't understand it). I never said Skipp Porteous was the one who first brought up the comic book. I said he investigated it. He did this by researching WHO FROM NW AIRLINES was serving on Shemya at the same time as Christiansen and Mike Watson. One of the few people still alive from that time was Rick Cochran. Porteous interviewed him about life on Shemya and asked him later if he had ever seen the comic book. He said yes, and added it was a popular one among the guys. I was trying to be kind by not using his name. What you have outlined are among the things he has claimed...he even implicated one of the crew. The secrets I keep are things that would harm innocent individuals - if you allowed PM's that you would not make public - you will understand WHY - it is more about harming innocent victims than being sued. Himmelsbach and the FBI has told me in the past that there WAS NO BYU medallion. McCoy was so much young than Duane and so was Knoss - hard to believe they even ever met each other. Implications where made about Duane's involvement with a second party removed - and I knew that was way out. I did find the party he was referring to and there was NO SUCH contact. McCoy's widow remarried and lives in TX if I remember right. She sued the writer of "The Real McCoy" and won without it going to court. The "legal/sue" issue does exist and I try NOT to plunder into that territory. P.S. The reason he contacted me yrs and yrs ago - was to tell me that he knew Duane was Cooper, but he has yet to produce any valid information to back up his claim. The documentation he claimed to have was never produced - to me or to the FBI that I have any knowledge of. I do not know if any of his story is true - the one thing he did do was put Duane Weber and his wife in Mn at a specific time. The ex-wife was still alive at that time and confirmed his story about being in Bloomington for about 6 wks. She said she forgot to mention it because it was only for about 6 wks or 2 months. The time frame she had and the time frame he had where different - but both time frames supposedly put Duane and his wife in Bloomington when he was "supposed" to be in the Jefferson Prison. He even sent me pictures of the apartments which I forwarded on to the ex-wife for identification. She and Duane had stayed on the run and lived in so many places she was unable to identify the apt. building. She also put Duane and herself in Washington DC when he was supposed to be in prison and attending a convention there. I had just chaulked it up to her getting her dates screwed up since it had been so many yrs and of course, alcohol does impair memory cells. Then Snow verifies this Convention was during a that time Frame and she had given me the date over the phone....both pieces of information several yrs apart. That is the extent of his involvement with me. Not sure if his contact with me was before or after I went public - but, I kept all of the phone bills - do not recall how he found me. By the Way - about 2 wks or so ago there was this strange phenomen in the S.Western sky about 7 PM. The Sun had finished setting (except for the red glow in the sky) and suddenly there is this crescent in the sky just above the Western Horizon (looked like the Moon) and just beyond it slightly more South and just a little higher in the western sky that was what I assumed was Jupiter. Am I the only one who saw this? You could see the glow of the sunset, but you could see the crescent of the Moon in the West at the same time????I must have had a few drinks too many. Since it was low in the sky and going behind the house across the street I couldn't get the camera fast enough to make a picture without going into the neigbors backyard (they had guest due to a birthday)....I can find exactly what day it was - it was the neighbor's birthday. I tried to PM you about this, but as usual you have me on ignore. I know you are into these kinds of things - so is my brother but he had a bad accident - so you are my next source of information. There was NOTHING in the papers about this in my area. There is a similar phenomen in the sky tonight, but that is up high and not in the WEST approx 7 PM Central time about 2 wks ago. This man is a piece of work Sluggo and you know that. He made life for the co-pilot and his wife and family living hell. It only got worse after the co-pilot's email address got out to the public thru this thread. You guys have heard me talk about "and hence the one legged man was born" and my emailing bait. I would copy the email to Doug Pasternac and in a few days would come this story about things I used as bait. What was bad is that I didn't understand where he was coming from till the damage had been done...and it only hurt me. I had given him information and names hoping he was for real - YRS ago. I told him about Tony and Tommy and at first he never heard of them - then later I get these emails telling me all about Tommy and Tony (his characters did not resemble the real individuals). He knew how to play things, but I did protect myself - by using Doug because of his knowledge of what was real and what was bait in my communications. Ever once in a while I would get the feel he did know something and then his story would go off the wall again. I have reached only one conclusion about his claims...that perhaps he had met Duane Weber, but within the ranges of an activity he did not want to admit...he even claimed Duane was FBI and so was Tommy and produced sites to support this (but there was NO way that this Tommy .... and Duane Weber involved in a mass suicide had anything to do with the real Tommy....and Duane Weber). He claimed McCoy was Cooper and was still alive and McCoy was a wrestler in CA and it was all a set-up by the FBI and FAA. He went so far as to make claims about the co-pilot and other creditable people. His harassment of the co-pilot's family was the last straw when this guy managed to get one of the writers to come to see him. This writer spent a considerable amount of time interviewing this guy and tried to get an interview with the co-pilot. Because of this writers contact with this "guy" the co-pilot told me to tell the writer NEVER to call him again. This individual cost the writer an interview with a key witness. Using the back door was not smart and a hard lesson that was costly for this writer. I try to be kind to this man as many of you do me, but I cannot swallow his story, because I listened to it being fabricated over a 10 yr period of time. The way you guys view me except I am consistent, but do explore the possiblities when presented to me. This is it basically a summary of what I know - and I have not heard it all. I didn't know he was still out there telling his story after the problems he caused the co-pilot around June of this yr - 2010. PS. Did anyone but me have to log in and pick a new password?
