THis is what I have tried to tell over and over and over, but the Myth only goes on and on and on. Our weather in this part of Fla I live in has had 4 days of below freezing temperatures and with rain and with wind. We have had HOMELESS people who have refused refuge in shelters - instead sleeping under an old semi-bed in the woods. I was out covering plants. I do NOT own a heavy jacket... I uncovered the plants as soon as the sun came out. I would forget to cover the plants early evening and it would be when the 10Pm news was on I would see the weather and know I needed to go out and cover plants. Often I am up until 3 AM and I do NOT smoke in my home or my car - at 3 AM with temps below freezing I was outside smoking (sure I found a corner out of the wind and I am sure Cooper also found shelter out of the wind). What was I wearing - my flannel PJ's, socks, robe, and a nylon jacket (windbreaker) and gloves that came from the animal shelter free for a donation...just some kind of fleece. There is a homeless man I feed once in while - I took him some hot food - he refused to go to a shelter (Vet afraid of closed in places and likes to be alone). He survived under a semi bed in the woods (no fire). Why no fire - because if the authorities found out he was there - he would be removed...and loose his hide-out. He has more than one "camp" in the area. One is a make shift tree platform (like a playhouse except the walls got vandalized) for summer weather. That structure is no long usable. I don't know about most of the 15 years but I don't recall anyone on DZ.com accusing you of being a hoaxer ... just pointing out that you don't have a single shred of evidence to back up your claims. And no it's not the same thing, a hoaxer sets out to delude people, we know you honestly believe what you're saying even if we don't. But by the same token you were wrong to call Blevins a hoaxer, and rather than defending yourself a simple apology for using the wrong term might have sufficed. I suppose my idea of "Hoaxing" is different than what you are saying the definition is and I understand that. Hoaxing would be deliberate deception..right?

Vickies father was being held in Madison Pending a pre-sentence investigation on May 3, 1971. How long does it take to do a pre-sentence investigation. Did he make bond and when was he released? I didn't see any articles that followed explaining this. Vickie mentioned speaking with an old timer (Paul Severs) who did NOT tell her anything other than the case was inactive and no statute of limitation on a Federal Crime. She enquired about her father's prints and was told by Severs he did not think they were entered into the AFIS. Her biggest mistake was saying even one word about Cooper and suddenly he has a phone call. Been there, done that. Suggestion - Since the prints are still on file with his arrest record - why can't she petition the county to retrive the records and put his prints into the system - perhaps as a missing person plus the Federal crime. The hardest part about this is digging into the old file to retrieve the prints - the rest is just computers and paper work. Why didn't the TV program do this if they truely wanted to find this man? Sluggo - how do we get this man's prints. Now this is a good case for one of the FBI training classes at the Universities that teach Criminology taught mostly by retired FBI agents. They could take on her father as one of their assignments on cold cases. P.S. The FBI used prints from 1945 for Duane Weber and I never understood why they didn't use more current prints - they could verify belonged to Weber. They never presented or used the Jefferson or Canon records. WHY use prints made 56 yrs before....I never understood this. The could NOT be positive a record that old had NOT been altered and that is ALL the FBI offered - prints taken in 1945. I happen to know there are prints on file 1979 or early 1980 in Ft. Collins, Co, but they DID not even acquire those nor compare them to the 1945 prints. All I ever got about that was a COCKY answer from the FBI agent of record when I found out which file they used. I have been thinking about adding her dad to my “I Am D B Cooper” page. In doing the research, I discovered the $200,000 is incorrect. The number published in newspaper articles at the time the money was found (Spring of 1971) was $500,000 to $1M. I guess there are as many myths surrounding the Melvin Luther Wilson case as there are around the DB Cooper case. Does anyone have any published information that supports the $200,000 claim? I felt her story was very sincere and his disappearing in 1971, I was surprise the program that featured her father on TV did Not consider him as a D.B.Cooper suspect. He walked away from his life without leaving a trace. Usually after a television program that features a person who just disappeared - they get calls or leads. I had viewed photos of her father and suggested she do certain things before posting to much and she actually did it. I just didn't want to see her be just a number as her enquiry was so earnest. She has done a LOT of work and I didn't want to see her become another Cooper thread casualty. She has done an excellent job in getting information and talking to the authorities. I understand another poster here seems to think they can present her case to the FBI...but, we all know there is only one way to do that. Collect the information and present it to the FBI agent of record - not to others claiming to have an inside with the FBI. You Sluggo are a good one to help her prepare this presentation to the FBI - you will take the information and methodically make it into a presentation the FBI will actually look at. Just the mention of your husband or father being Cooper raises eyebrows with the FBI - OH, another Wannabee! They just want Cooper to go away. I had a problem with the eyes and his neck which seemed in the pictures to be very thick - almost - reminded me of someone I knew who had a goiter I think it was called. I am sure there are other condition that can cause that same appearance. One thing for sure he did a good disappearance act. Vickie, I don't remember - Did the program do an age progression? 10yr and 25 yrs out. He had fingerprints on file, right? Those fingerprints should show up if he was ever arrested again or tried to get a job that required prints such as in insurance sales. Blevins you got the Hoax questions in the same way I have tolerated them for 15 yrs. They are the same questions I have been asked. I gave up more than 2 yrs and it was Jerry that used his "false expertise" to destroy my story and he will do that to anyone regardless of who the suspect is. Unless Jerry is in control he makes life miserable for anyone with a viable suspect. He treated me like a prisoner of WAR in a phone conversation after he came to this thread and I ended up in the ER that night. I don't believe I have tried to HOAX you - just ask the questions anyone else would ask who also has a suspect and has researched this subject of 15 yrs. As for Jerry's "FALSE EXPERTISE" why did he deny certain places did NOT exist that I have told about for yrs - when they do in fact exist. For example - my mountain or hill that looked like a grave yard with large boulders at the top. There were large dead trees and a wire fence with a wooden gate. The place Duane pointed out where all of the power lines crisscrossed and that you could walk for miles before all of the undergrowth and a stream that went from a creek to Lake LaCames... Jerry told me from 1996 to 2001 it did NOT exist and made me look like a fool to the TV crew in 2001. He also claimed in this thread the place did NOT exist.On my 2010 trip I found this place and it did and does exist. Does it prove Duane was Cooper - NO it does NOT, but what it does prove is that Jerry will knowingly attempt to discredit anyone who has a viable suspect...using whatever means he can. Now, Jerry will call that an attack, but it is all in this thread in Black and White. I had a witness in WA in 2010 when I found the place Jerry claimed DID not exist. Jerry turned a DEAF ear to what I found - he didn't want to hear the names of people Duane knew. One had property at the foot of that hill - and I had told about Duane knowing someone who had property there...for 15 yrs. NOT one time did he check the property records a genuine researcher would do....instead he pretended to have done this. I have questions for the thread: 1. WHY would Jerry claim knowledge of these things? 2. Is it a control issue? 3. He claimed to have known McCoy - did her really know Mcoy? 4.He has told others who enquire about a suspect that he has ACCESS to all of the FBI files when in fact he DOES NOT...is he FBI or CIA? 5. What part of Jerry's access and expertise is real? Everyone is kind to Jerry because he is a Veteran, but that is NO longer acceptable when he misrepresents what he has the authority to do and ACCESS to the FBI files. There are posters - past and present who will tell you Jerry has contacted them claiming he can help them investigate their subject. Jerry has NO more access than anyone else in this forum to the FBI files and is NOT authorized to act on behalf of the FBI. Usually when a check like that is written unless the other properties where conveyed separately - it includes the sales results of the properties...and is the balance after attorney fees and sales fees and property disposed of. It matters Not what you published - this is about how this was portrayed on the program that was made. The book may clarifiy it - but on TV it is made to sound like that was in the account after the skyjacking and that only JACKs up sales. Most people will not buy the book and what survives is the segment that will be shown over and over. The general public never knows because young people do not read books. Then Myths again becomes public and stated deliberate mistruths become facts....to the future generations who will examine this case. Why doesn't someone like Sluggo write a book and get a made for TV segment called: Myths versus Truths? The Hijacking that happens Over and Over depending on the subject - and the truth becomes buried in the myths created by wannabes and "others" who would like for this old unsolved crime just to go away...leaving the past to be forever forgotten. Georger - while you are at that WHY don't you take the document the show presented (about the 180K plus) on the program and enlarge IT. You might be or might not be surprised what it says. Then track back from the date of that document and see what else you find in court documents. Bud said to tell you Hello and that you are wrong about the DNA remark made about the Tie Tac. The supposed DNA found on the tie tac per you only refers to female heritage or you used incorrect terminology. I have been waiting for a DVD my friend made for me of the program, but I did get to watch the program while it was on an someones home - we didn't have a way to record it. You pretty much summed up what my friends and I stated that night when it was over. The husband is military and his remarks were dead on with yours. It was always my understanding this syndrome involved a mother making her child ill in order to get attention. I contacted Jerry because something needed to be done about Knoss after I found he had communicated with the McCoy grand Children. The woman who emailed me said one individual was very disturbed by what Knoss did. I told her I would try to do something about it. Since Knoss claimed Jerry was dead and we all knew he wasn't I enlisted his aid and told him what Knoss was claiming. I don't know what I thought Jerry could do. I expect no one can do much to stop Knoss contacting anyone who will read his site or goes to his site by keying in a family members name. . I asked Jerry to NOT call me a liar, or teller of fantasy stories nor harass me in anyway. I did inform him I made a trip out there in Oct and found the things he told me DID not exist. I had a witness with me on one important find - the one Jerry harassed me about many times. If necessary I will find the woman who made the radio program tape before I went to WA in 2001...and take her out there and show her the places. Places Jerry claimed did not exist in subsequent conversations with me.

I never worry about other suspects, because I know what Duane told me, what he showed me and what I held in my own hands. "That's were Cooper walked out of the wood" I replied "How would you know that" He then retorted "Maybe I was the one on the ground". I found everything I needed to find in WA. everything you told me did NOT exist....so maybe you have a motive in discrediting everything I say...because maybe you were part of it. If I were to buy in to what Caretaker said McCoy was involved and the fact that you claimed to know McCoy which you yourself stated....maybe you are part of the "conspiracy". Didn't you claim to be good friends with the co-pilot. Caretaker also claimed he was in on it. You are good friends with Himmelsbach and Caretaker also claimed he was part of it. Name ONE person who was a witness that could do that after 40 yrs. You don't know much about this do you? Go back and read all of the post done about recognition after many yrs. NOTE the FBI is NOT going to process anything just because you say so and Ralph is retired and is no longer allowed to process subjects. She will speak for herself and if you read the posts you will know she has taken the first steps herself. Since her father has been missing since 1971 - DNA is probably not going to work, plus the FBI needs to produce the only viable DNA they had - the cigarette, butts. If by this statement you made "She has not written any fiction into her story" you are referring to me - then perhaps you need to be he one behind Vicki's Elephant. Messy right? 1. I get defensive when it is used in derogatory way - excusing Duane Weber because of his health claiming he could not have made the jump for that reason. In NO way would Duane's health have prevented him from making the jump in 1971. Too many people do not understand the disease and disqualify Duane based on unsubstantiated claims - that is WHY I get defensive and the statments made are used ONLY for that purpose - to disqualify Duane Weber. In 1984 Duane was in Good Condition physically - he could out swim most people and did so often. He was a strong swimmer and swimming in the Atlantic is not always easy. It was only after we moved to the Gulf in 1988 that he became hesitant about his capabilities in the water due to the fistual that had been placed in his arm - so when the time came he would be ready for the machine. . Orange- the diagnosis of a herditary disease in its beginning stages does NOT mean the person is already sick or disabled. This disease is herediatry and the first signs you might have the problem is high blood pressure. That is all he was treated for until 1990 when he went on the kidney machine. They did all of the renal function tests and a CT's in 1970 or 1971. They found the cysts - therefore confirming he did indeed have the disease. This disease is a progressive disease - and as they later learned it moved in stages with many individuals staying in the first stages for longer periods of time than others. Because of Duane's mother's death on a kidney machine in 1958 - his fears were heightened and he became unrashional in his behaviour. If someone tells you - "you have 5 yrs left" - what do you do? You would LIVE every moment like it was your last moment and try to provide for the people you love. Even in 1970 or 1971 little was known about this disease but it was in an era of advancing technology and medicine. They also learned after or around that time certain forms of the disease progressed more slowly - life style and medications, played a large role in this. This was the case with Duane L. Weber. He went to the Dr only when he needed to get his prescriptions refilled about every 6 months. It would be 1986 when the disease came down on him hard and 4 more yrs before he required diaylsis....then in 1990 he started his 5 yr battle for survival and one he did very well. Prior to his going on diaylsis in 1990 - he went to Birmingham to see about the possiblity of a kidney transplant...(he had not even gone on the machine at that time). They evaluated him and were going to put him on the donor list - he decided he could NOT do that, because it would mean someone younger and or a child might not get a kidney. At that time he was not yet 65 yrs old. He told me he had had a full life and was happy with his life and decided to forego the kidney transplant for the above reasons. Who is that one person Jerry? Al's response is puzzling. He is acting line he has been threatened but I can't see what he is reacting to. Maybe he can explain. Big conspiracy theories are interesting but 99.9999 pct of them are fantasy. He hasn't presented any tangible evidence to support his claims. Reminds me of UFO abduction stuff. I have courteously asked him not to take me to task on these things in the above post and when I contacted him about "his death". Funny - calling someone to tell them there is rumor going around he or she is deceased. I do believe that is one of the most condeming things Knoss could have done regarding the stories he told. Please refrain from making derogatory remarks about Duane Weber - His health was excellent in 1971 - if you don't believe that wait until you see the pictures of him shoveling 4 ft of snow in 1980...9 yrs later. There are also pictures of him in 1983 digging and pouring concrete...showing 3 young guys how to do it. Please be careful about the remarks you make that can be disproved - and this one will be disproved very shortly. About 3 more months - I gave an exclusive on this photo so I cannot publish on the thread. His health did NOT start to fail until 1986...due to cleaning up his life. Make NO MORE derogatory references to the health of DUANE WEBER. This had been proven NOT to be TRUE. His medical records and pictures and activities from 1971 to 1986 speak for themselves. Polycystic renal disease is a progressive disease in stages. Educate yourself about the disease before you speak OUT of term. PLEASE. The FBI had nothing to do with the "choice" of the chutes, or the source. The very opposite is the case. You need to read the prior posts on this topic, in this thread. He may have been confused by one of the individuals that believes the entire operation was a government conspiracy, in which case, virtually anything would be possible, yet none of which is in evidence.

Jamie: That is just NOT how it works. It is not as simple as running a set of prints....remember they do NOT believe they actually have Cooper's prints. The prints they extracted - where laten particial prints and they did NOT know if any of the prints belonged to Cooper. Even though it has never been made public - Cooper probably wore glove. I have only heard ONE report from a witness who claimed Cooper wore glove, but did not trust the source...and you can bet if they had good prints - checking prints is a fast and easy to do....obviously they do NOT have good prints or they would NEVER have gone to the expense of trying to extract DNA from a tie and clasp ( NO verification the tie actually belonged to Cooper or was worn by Cooper). If they check the DNA with that of Robert Kennedy - wonder what the would get? Just thought I would throw that monkey wrench in the box since we are mixing it all up.
