Yeah, I guess having it intact if it is the real deal would be nice but they can easily put humpty dumpty back together if need be. It seemed pretty clear from the article they knew exactly where to dig. They were on their property....it is not like they were in the middle of nowhere.

So what if the lines were cut? Won't there still be a rig down there if it was Cooper's parachute? I don't unerstand how having the lines cut has any bearing on the analysis of what was found.
-
God damn it that is funny....and true

Lurch, both rigs have a Spectre 150. And that would be a big 'ole yes on the Cypres if you want to instruct. Actual note from Fran: Yes, to clarify…All Instructors at PSC are required to have an AAD even Birdmen Instructors I hear you about the logistics for Orange...I can't leave until late on Friday so I don't think it is worth it for me to go. I am trying to figure it out but don't think it is going to happen. If you want the second rig for Orange or to instruct at Pepp no prob.

What type of accident was it? This was not her first jump was it? Just her first jump "over the waters"?. I couldn't find any info on DZ.com or google about the accident. I tried to go to the myspace page but got this message a few times when I clicked on some of the links: You have reached a link that is no longer in service. That means the link was very naughty, and, much like head lice, had to be eliminated before it spread. Very sad that you have not been able to visit her in half a year.

Lurch, I may have a Cypres and/or rig for you to borrow. I will check with Don and see what the 411 is with my second rig. One of my Cypres' had a problem in Puerto Rico and I brought it to the shop. It may be fixed by the Orange boogie or I may have a loaner. You should put some beans aside for an AAD...if you didn't know Pepperell now requires AAD's with the exception of "D" license holders. However, any instructors (including Wingsuit) are required to have one.

Well...in 2000 if I remember correctly most of the country did agree with Lastchance. Found another pic of the electoral map: http://revolutioninjesusland.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/jesusland_orig.jpg

As many other people have said they are very legit. I have had checking, CD, and home equity accounts with them for 4 or 5 years. They have EXCELLENT customer service and absolutely bar none the best and easiest to use web-site in the industry. Their regular savings rate right now (3.1%) is actually a little higher than some of their CD's: 6 Month 3.00% 03/14/08 Open Now 9 Month 2.75% 03/14/08 Open Now 12 Month 2.75% 03/14/08 Open Now 18 Month 2.75% 03/14/08 Open Now 24 Month 2.75% 03/14/08 Open Now 30 Month 2.75% 03/14/08 Open Now 36 Month 2.75% 03/14/08 Open Now 48 Month 2.75% 03/14/08 Open Now 60 Month 3.25% 03/14/08

From Snopes: Personality Test Trivia: Dr. Phil's personality test. Example: [Collected on the Internet, 2003] Origins: This item is difficult to classify as "true" or "false" because it doesn't really offer any specific falsifiable claims, so we'll just try to run down a few details for interested readers who have inquired about it: * Although popular psychologist Dr. Phillip C. McGraw (better known to millions of television viewers as "Dr. Phil") has appeared as a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show many times over the last several years and now hosts his own nationally syndicated TV show, we don't find any evidence (by reviewing program listings and transcripts) that he ever offered the test shown above on either program. * The test antedates Dr. Phil's first guest spot on The Oprah Winfrey Show by several years, having appeared on the Internet (in a USENET newsgroup post) as far back as 1994, when it was attributed to a "Dr. Charles Vine." * Who is Dr. Charles Vine? We don't know — the only references to him that we've found so far are lines crediting him as the author of this test. * Is this a valid personality test? In the sense that one can make some very broad generalizations about personality types based upon the way people say they stand, walk, work, interact with others, etc., and be right somewhat more often than random chance would dictate, perhaps, but this test is far more of a parlor trick best used for nothing more than entertainment purposes. Real psychological tests (i.e., the kind "folks pay a lot of money" for, such as the MMPI) are much more complex, more varied, and longer, and their scoring methods and interpretations are not publicly disclosed in order to maintain their viability. The best way to regard this test is to consider it similar to a horoscope or a fortune cookie: all of them make broad, general predictions which seemingly apply to a great many people. The skeptical dismiss such predictions as random shots which occasionally hit their marks (in the same way that a stopped clock is still right twice a day); the credulous marvel over their accuracy, find ways to make the results apply to themselves, and overlook the parts that don't fit.

Of fuck....that is funny!

huh? How do you get to $15,000 for 100 WS flights? 15K should get you about 600 flights.

I have been a member since 1991 and I always thought the ballot did have to be from Parachutist. Do you really think there will be additional ballots cast by people who lose their ballot and ask a friend to photocopy it for them? What percent of ballots do you think are or would be photocopies? I bet it is a tiny or miniscule amount. E-voting would be cool but they would have to spend the time and money developing a secure system.

Safest year ever- Where's the Positive Press??
skyjumpsteve replied to V111pilot's topic in The Bonfire
How many hobbies or sports have PR departments trumpeting the fact they they only killed 18 people? you gotta be kidding me. good for the sport but the fact that "only" 18 people died is a hard thing to get good PR on from the mainstream media. focusing on events like competitions, boogies, etc...is a far better way to get good press. And I have seen a lot more of that in the last few years which is a great thing.
