  1. Sorry, I kinda just blew off your question, I guess I would be willing to try from 2.5 or maybe 3.0 but I doubt I would volentarily go any lower than that!!
  2. I have to agree there, if the pilot says go, Im out. The lowest one I have done was from 4.5. Not that low, but definatly the lowest exit yet for me. Actually, I loved it, it was a nice slow soft deployment. On the 2.5 exit you did, did you go straight for the reserve, or deploy your main? Blue ones!! Greg A-37958

    I know

The truth is....I just flew in from the planet jello on my chocolate chip cookie, and I demand to speak with youre manager, mr puddin pants about a little time off. Its been 2500 years and Im a little tired, and my cookie needs a new chip. And if someone doesnt get these bugs away.......SNAP!!!
  4. This is SO SCARY, it has long been one of my biggest fears (at least since I started jumping). I just cringe to think of someone getting pulled out through the side of the plane, or getting extracted through the door and getting caught on the tail or something. I would think it would be a good idea to have at least one person ride down with the guy in the plane, to help him contain and control the open canopy, but, not to be cold or anything, I think the other divers on the load should be allowed to exit. 5. It took me 8 months!! lol But at least I got it (finally) Greg A-37958
  6. Grrrrrrrrrr, even with the "Great One" finally on board, it seems that my Coyotes could not make it to the playoffs. I am so bummed. But, I do have family in Dallas/Ft Worth, so my next choice would have to be the Stars!!
  7. Hey Brandon, thanks for the link, Ill check it out. Unfortunatly, jumping for two weeks with Airspeed is not in my budget, but I know that would do the trick. I was actually looking to get some "cheaper" (read free) advice and or constructive critisizem. Thanks again for the link tho!! Great point, there is plenty of room in the door and all. The way we set it up was, we put the "heaviest" diver in the rear float position, I (one of the lightest) in the front float with grips (right hand) on the rear floater, the next to heaviest was kind of in the middle with grips (left hand) on me but still inside the plane looking out, and the last lighter diver was also inside facing out and took grips (left hand) on the rear float, and lastly the camera in the rear rear float position (he got out first). We basically tried to alternate heavy and light divers in our formation to make it more stable. But perhaps we should try having the same diver in the rear float. me, outside in the middle, and the other larger diver in the front float, with only one guy inside. We will give it a try, thanks for the input!

The TRUTH!!!...........you couldnt handle the truth!!!
  11. Thanks again for the input Sky, Yeah, Im spoiled having Eloy and Airspeed in my back yard. I even have some "home" footage of some Airspeed exits, I guess we can break those out at this weeks Thursday night safety meeting. They work really good to at least establish how bad our exits really are!! lol Greg A-37958
  12. what is this "pre" thingI did it right, I just dont see what it does oh well then, I wont use the "pre" thing
  13. lets try this whats this red purple
  14. Its my understanding, and I could very well be mistaken, that one needs to jump at least once every thirty days until licensed, then one in 60 days after licensed. I would verify this in the SIM to be sure. Greg A-37958
  15. Yeah, youre right, I have been on many loads with Airspeed, they are freakin tight!!! Unfortunatly, at least from my perspective, they are *busy busy* training and what not, and I try not to bother them with my silly lowtimer questions. Although, I have talked to them, on the ground, on several occasions, and they are very very cool!! I even bought a few shirts to support the team.
  16. 1) Get signed off on packing so I'll have 60 days to lose currency 2) Send off Cypres before weather clears up 3) Flirt my way into (another) cheap recurrency dive 4) Get my ass out to the DZ more 5) Don't date whuffos 6) Have a beer You forgot one: 7) All of the above All of the choices you listed sounded pretty good, and better yet, you did not mention: 1) Kidnapping 2) Extortion(sp) 3) Theft/robbery 4) Murder for hire So, good for you!! Keep your chin up, I have done *almost* as bad, I have gone out of current twice since I started in April 2000.
  17. Great point, I guess I would have to agree, what worries me more than the wind speed, is the unpredictability of gusts and the change in wind speeds because of gusts versus predictable sustained winds. Another question, would you need a B license or better to jump there? I guess I should go look for myself, instead of asking you nice people. Thanks! Greg A-37958
  18. I just did the four year (cypres) on my rig, so the perfect oppertunity has passed for the full wash, but I actually have one pretty small grass stain on my container, about the size of a silver dollar, would this spot clean method work to get it out versus a "full container wash"? If so, a soft bristled brush with what? (dish soap?, laundry detergent?)
  19. Thanks Sky, I jump at Eloy, so I cant see how it would be hard to find a copy!! Youre right tho, thats pretty spendy, thats almost five jumps working on it myself. I will look for it in the "bargain bin" in square two, maybe I can find a used copy. Thanks again! Greg A-37958
  20. I did a jump at Coolidge on my last birthday, first time out of Mullins King Air! If I remember, it was also my first RW jump! Birthday jumps RULE, I hope yours is a great one!! (or two, or three....)\ Blue ones!! Greg A-37958
  21. Sorry, this may be a bit off topic, I am curious as to how windy it is there. It seems to me like that could be a problem, at least for "newer" skydivers, like myself. I ask because I have always wanted to go to Hawaii, and have since started skydiving and wondered how windy it really is there, not that wind will be a problem for the rest of my skydiving career, but for now, I do not like jumping in high(er) winds. Just curious. Blue ones!! Greg A-37958

    last weekend

That is AWESOME!!! A "mobile pad" right at the dz, I would be stoked too. If it were me, I would be awlful tempted to just give up my apt and move permanantly to the dz. I can kind of relate, in July last year I broke down and picked up a used rig, and just last week, kinda out of the blue, broke down and picked up a brand new truck. (used rig, brand new truck, what am I thinking!) Anyway, congrats, hope the winds are better this weekend (for both of us). Blue ones!! Greg A-37958
  23. OMG!!!!! Thats freakin funny!!! Hee hee ha ha!!
  24. Hello all, I have been working on my RW skills as of late, and am starting to exit more and more with three, four, and even sometimes five other jumpers. For the most part, we have been free flying the exits and then hooking up afterwards. This works ok, but we spend a good part of our dive just getting the first point. Recently, we have been trying to exit linked with mixed results. Does anyone have any tips on setting up four, five, and six ways linked, usually out of an otter? i.e. how many in, how many out, where do you take grips, larger jumpers in what position (front float, rear float). Any tips would be greatly appriciated. Blue ones!! Greg A-37958
  25. Hey RC Im Greg, (sorry, a little slow here, I do have to give my employer some of my time while Im here at work, lol). Based on the thread so far, you seem like a really rockin chick!! Glad youre here!! Anyway, if you end up in AZ for any reason during your world tour, I got some tickets for you at Eloy! Blue ones (SKIES THAT IS, LOL)!! Greg A-37958
