  1. So three times in the past week we've had to call 911 at work because of various things (girl choking, guy fell, chest pains, etc.). And each of those times, the firefighters/paramedics have shown up almost immediately and two of those three times, their immediate response has saved lives. I guess I just felt the need to say a big thanks to everyone working in that field for everything you do. Beer for all of you!
  2. ah yes....i had heard that, but forgotten that too. That would hurt like a bitch.... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  3. Growing up, there were 5 men (4 kids and my dad) and 1 woman in my house (my mom) and she was the only one that would touch that shit. Yuck! "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  4. Definitely try to make it to DeLand! You won't be disappointed....'nuff said!
  5. Coming up to my neck o' the woods, eh? Ithaca is U.S. Air...I just flew into there yesterday to pick up a plane from maintenance...
  6. Yeah, the airlines webpages will have the airports they fly into. Depending on where you're going, its sometimes cheaper to get the tickets directly from them. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  7. Oh yeah...and another thing. After any kind of depressurization...you wont be at a normal crusing altitude of 30,000 ft. That altimeter will be unwinding rather quickly...... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  8. hahahahha....thats awesome. I could never think up something that clever... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  9. At 30,000 ft.? Probably for as long as your oxygen supply lasts. Its not until about 40,000 feet that you will have respiratory trouble even with 100% oxygen. The reason for this is the exremely low atmospheric pressure, and the fact that it is so low it does not support proper oxygen saturation into the bloodstream. There is another type of oxygen mask that can be used above 40k, but it is positive-pressure and requires special training to use. Maybe diverdriver can back me up here, if I'm off a little or wrong... Oh, and I forgot earlier....rapid decompression can also cause altitude-induced decompression sickness. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  10. Amen to that, lol.... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  11. Class? What class? Where? "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

    Food

I love a good pizza- and no, not from some commercialized place like Pizza Hut or Papa John's. I'm talking a "real" pizza, from a hole-in-the-wall pizza place- those are the best. As far as beer...well, just about anything- but my favorite is Corona with lime...
  14. For everyone that wont cut and paste: http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2002/20mar_newmatter.htm
  15. That is correct. There is no specified altitude at which everyone on board (besides crew) must USE oxygen. See how much the FAA cares about non-flying occupants? "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  16. "oh shit, I just cutaway my left nipple!" "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  17. Dude, KingBunky...we have the same birthday!!!!
  18. February 4th....Aquarius "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  19. I didnt get a chance to watch that earlier. I'm glad I remembered to check it out tonight. Thank you rhino... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

    GEEZ!

Yeah, Bob is a waaay cool guy and goes out of his way to make the DZ the same. I LOVE that place, and will always consider it my "home" DZ, no matter where I live. Bob never forgets a name...want proof? He remembers me everytime I'm there...lol, lowly little me, of all the professional skydivers, and more experienced jumpers, and he puts the correct name with my face. I have a hard time believing that these "weekend warrior" assholes will get anything to stick....Skydive Deland ROCKS!!!! "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  22. Viking dude, be a waiter at a decent restaurant. Not some little mom&pop diner, im talking about something nice. Thats what I'm doing right now, and you can't beat the money. On a weeknight, its not unusual for me to bring in $100 in tips alone (not counting hourly wages). I work 6 nights a week- you do the math!
  23. Hmm....I'm either Loopy Banana-toosh, or... ...Shadow Bennett (the porn star name)...I kinda like that one.
  24. TRUE STORY!!! I was at a concert once in high school and one of my friends went into the bathroom to take a pee. I waited outside the bathroom for him. Like 20 seconds later he comes out running, and screaming: "get the fuck outta here, lets go!" I thought the damn place was on fire. Turns out some wierd dude had gotten onto his knees, and gave my friend a slap in the ass. My friend, not knowing (or caring) if the guy was joking or just plain screwed up, kicked him onto his back and pissed on his head. To this day he doesnt know if it was a joke or what, but you gotta have balls or just be plain stupid to slap a 5'10, 250 pound guy in the ass while he's peeing. lol..... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
