    curious, how did you start? How many self-paid tandem vids did you do before you felt you were ready to become a paid videographer? This subject seems to come up a lot. One thing I notice is that many of those that say "You gotta have 500 jumps before jumping camera with a tandem (except I didn't, I got to start early....so don't do as I do, just do as I say). In a way, I'm one of the above. I also paid for over 100 of my own tandem jumps before I felt really comfortable being paid for my tandem jumps.

    Pixelation? If it was pixelation, then the camera is defective. If it's oscillation, then it's an OIS problem. Same comment for the mirroring, sounds like a bad cable or corrupted file. The CX12 is quite similar to the CX7, although I haven't seen the same problem with my CX12 that I occasionally see with the 7.

    All new versions of Vegas support AVCHD, and newest iMovie does as well. FCE and FCS require conversion first. Vegas Movie Studio 9 is a great little tool, as evidenced by the capture of over 1000 videos at Nationals this week (VMS was used for all capture).

    No, it's not the same problem with the image stabilization. It's a different potential problem with the image stabilization. There are many, many HC9's in use for skydiving. I saw at least a dozen at the Nationals, being used for competition.

    Not according to the FSDO that inspected our aircraft last season. He saw wingsuits using chest strap and told us we're in violation.

    if they've cut down on their expenses, it doesn't matter *how* they're doing it if it's not at *your* expense. Taking care of parents is common to most cultures (including America until recently). If their children want to let their parents live on their land, I say "Terrific!" Even if they don't live on their children's land (and where their children live is fairly expansive), they still have reduced their own expenses and environmental footprint. Lighten up, Francis.

    bingo. They'll probably be the loudest whiners, too. Bullshit. Those who don't vote can at least say "don't look at me, I didn't vote these assholes into public office." If you don't vote; deal with it. Silently. Otherwise, the assholes aren't the ones in office, they're the ones that bitch abou who's in office but didn't undertake any effort to keep them from being in office. Falls under the category of "coward," IMO.

    I was taught the same... No one has brought up putting the seatbelt through the chest strap here... I see it done in many places, but the chest strap isn't part of the harness... Why is it that the legstrap is considered part of the harness but the chest strap isn't?

    My incumbent is a Republican; he voted for the bailout. How could I possibly vote for him? *I did vote for him twice in the past. I agree, Congress has done a terrible job. Time for him to come home.

    No disrespect meant to 2K Composites, but hold the two helmets side by side (I have). The Tonfly is lighter, yet feels more....'substantial' might not quite be the right word.

    I'll rephrase; you *can* use the HV30 for skydiving; I can think of at least half a dozen reasons why you wouldn't want to. I *can* tell you those half-dozen reasons, but somehow I think you'd be better off researching this forum and using the SEARCH function, and key in on this same question asked at least 25 times in the past about various non-Sony cameras and image stabilization.

    Aside from the fact that you can't use an HV30 for skydiving... it's also an old, and will be discontinued in 3 months, model. New stuff around the corner... A few more jumps might be in order as well. Welcome to the forum, please check out the "README sticky" at the top of the forum.

    Happy X 4...I love it. I use the side-turn when doing wingsuit first flight courses, and only wish I could take it just a bit farther to the right or left.
