  1. I believe that there is God and satan. Good and evil. Some of that belief comes from my life experiences and some comes natural. I believe that "something" is God's work. I do have free will to choose evil though. I think it is also interesting that you have to teach a child to do whats right. They don't have to be taught to throw fits and how not to behave. At 41, I am learning that lesson first hand. I have a 1 1/2 year old.
  2. I am looking forward to it. On the registration page on Skyquest website, it only shows 50 some signed up so far. That would still be fun, but I thought it was supposed to be 100+?

    UFC 14 oct 06

Franklin did not put up much of a fight. Several knees to the ribs opened up some brutal knees to the face. The nose was pretty bad. The lightweight fight was a great one.
  4. Yes it does, but its not every year like other events.
  5. I figured that those three would be the ones, but I didn't know what order they would be. I have not participated in them yet, but have some opportunities to now. I think it also has a lot to do whether someone was wanting on the world team.
  6. Why Power Play above Kaleidoscope?
  7. What are the most elite large RW events in order of importance. I am sure there are different opinions and I am curious why certain events are special.
  8. Thanks everyone for the info...
  9. I am hoping to sell my Sabre 120. It has 800 jumps on it and in need of a reline. What is a ballpark cost for that? Trying to decide whether to do it then sell or let the new owner do it. Thanks.
  10. I don't have the source, but someone is taking them to court about their protest at a military funeral. Remember that most of the clan are attorneys, and they are hiring some other high profile attorneys to help. Attention is what they are getting.
  11. I am from Kansas and a Christian and I cannot stand what the Phelps clan does. The Patriot guard is doing a great service by shielding families from these nutcases. I hope they make it for this tragic funeral. Most of the Phelps' are lawyers, so they welcome someone trying to restrict them so they can play ACLU on them.
  12. I live where it gets cold and I have never had problems with my pad in a Mirage. I do not freefly, but I really like the security of it. It may take some getting used to, but I think they are the way to go.
  13. I am always ready for hockey. Ready to play and to watch. Minor league team only near me though. Is the NHL still only televised on OLY network?
  14. Look for "T-bags". They are very good for transporting gear. I believe that they also have liners available for those rainy days.
  15. I was out of town and didn't get to see the Hughes fight. Who won and was it any good?
  16. It happened in Salina Kansas. It has been all over the local news and papers.
  17. A high school science teacher in the area pulled a real good one. They used the same instrument to draw blood for an experiment from about 50 students. They suspended the teacher and are providing blood tests for all the students. I would like to think that a student would have questioned this.
  18. I bought a container that had a Cobalt in it. I didn't shop for one just tried it out for awhile. I do like the canopy. I think it is different for me that you must fly your body throughout the "staged" opening. I understand its that way for a lot of canopies now. I am not a freeflier, but I do participate in big ways, and I like the idea of not having to take a lot of time slowing down after a very long track. All in all I am very happy with my Cobalt and its openings.
  19. Not more than about 800'. I believe that they reccommend that you not set up. I have used it many times on big ways that I didn't slow down a lot after a long track and it hasn't slammed me at all. Sometimes got stuck pulling pretty low and had confidence it would open predictable. One chop, a spinner, probably packing but it was obvious it wasn't a normal staged oping.
  20. I have a cobalt 105 and I really like it. Bought it slightly used in an container and wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it. After getting used to the "staged" openings I have really grown to like it. Just like a lot of canopies, you have to fly all the way throught the opening.
  21. Shonie is the type that by the end everyone will be chomping at the bit to whip.
  22. I think that the many posts have a least made people think about their hard deck for exiting. If you put yourself through the different scenerios, just like emergency procedures, you will react rather than follow the mob. I also know that if the plane is on fire I may get out real low. You also should base which canopy on your back would be the better option.
