  1. One more day and Im on Vacation. Well my life is a vacation but its a vacation from a vacation. Im going to Gatlinburg Tenn. for the weekend. I used to live in Pigeon Forge a long time ago, and havent been since. Anyone know what the must do's are? Im going to go snowboarding at oberGatlinburg, but is there any other things to do there? Im sure Im not jumping in Tennessee (I promised), and it will be too cold. Any idea's on what the best thing's to do in Gatlinburg? Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
  2. Just to mention that I am one of the said team members and I love my Merlin suit. I also jump a heck of a lot more than anyone else on my team, so my suit has seen more freefall, and I have never had a problem with my suit. My zippers are fine and my seams are fine. Now here is the reason why Rons suit had problems, while I skydive a lot, the team does a lot! of tunnel time. The zipper's broke right in the arch of the belly where contact with the tunnel bottom would occur. The one member without a built in arch, has no problem with his zipper. But I agree that customer service has been reputed to be not the best. But I have dealt with Merlin suits for 4 years and I have always been treated good. I would recommend a Merlin suit to anyone, especially the Merlin Camera suit, if your going to shoot 4way video you cant get a better suit. Christine from merlin has 1000 video jumps and knows exactly what works in a suit. I think all suit manufacturer's (well the ones I have talked to) dont reccomend heavy tunnel usage with a freefall suit. Jump Bubble used to void the warranty on a suit if used in the Tunnel. 3. No, I hate the Porter. It's so slow and very claustrophobic. And I don't like exiting out of it either. Hmmm...what else can I complain about it? *** Soon you will be begging for the Porter. skydive Deland's new porter will be arriving shortly, and from what I hear it will be the Fastest single engine jumpship in the country. And I believe the only porter in the USA with a -34 engine in it. It took a little longer to arrive because they had to get a special STC for the new engine modification. Now its in the process of getting a new paint job and exit handles ect. But I hear sub 10 minute climb times. We will see. I for one cant wait. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

  5. Actually, most of the better teams take their time in the door, Ive seen Majic, take at least 30 seconds many, many times to climb out and exit. Frost, the Norgies and many other team's. Ive talked to our pilots many time's and they turn the green light on 20+ seconds early just to account for the time taken. It's better to take your time and set up right, than to rush it and have a bad exit when training/competing. Yes but then your obligating the 120 pilot to spiral down through the other canopies, A good order should be exit order/landing order. Its a much missed saftey factor that vertical separation is a necessary thing. How many times do you see the whole load land at the same time? Nothing is worse than setting your vertical separation and then having the person that exited after you spiral down lower than you, now you have someone lower and behind you, there is a definite saftey issue there. Canopy size is an issue, but I can take my 96, be the first one to open and still land last, if I choose to. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
  6. At my dz, we put out largest flat groups first, then smaller flat then hd ect. But some things also come into consideration, If there is a 4way team on the plane (almost every load has a 4way team) Most of the time they get out first (or should at least) because a 4way team can burn a lot of time in the door, (Our pilot's know this and turn the light on early for it so they wont waste exit time) ,and also most teams are in a hurry to get to the ground and get back up, so this help's. Other considerations that should take into account, if there is 2 groups of the same size, I think the group with the smallest (higest wingloaded) canopies should go first. Our team has had problems in the past with this. Canopy size should be a consideration, but Im not sure how or what way would be the best way to handle it. 11. The people to ask if a canopy is right for you, is the peopel at your Dz. They see you land more than anyone, and can see if your handling it ok, how conservative you are, and if your ready for it. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Unit, sorry not me, back then my hair was down to my ass. I was a victim of Andrew, And I have much respect and thanks for the good men that came to bring order to the chao's andrew brang. It was a war zone before the National Guard showed, and they brought us plenty of MREs. Those guys were even nice enough to let us use their engines on the HUMVEE's to warm our meal's, very cool you just plop the bag on the engine (their was even a special spot for it). I stayed there 6 weeks, just long enough to get my insurance check, straighten all my stuff out and get the Heck outta dodge. If you were one of the Armed services there thankyou from me good job. That same warden also serves them moldy bread and moldy lunch meat. He is proud when he boasts that he spends more on the prison dogs than he does on the prisoners. In general I don't have a problem with this, but he's doing it convicted and unconvicted inmates. I don't think that's so cool to do to those who haven't been convicted yet. As far as those who have been convicted I wouldn't care if they were forced to eat their own shit. ***(OH yeah that is another thing Fry em, screw the HUMANITARIAN gas chamber or lethal injection). You think that the gas chamber is humanitarian? Doping up a convicted Murderer with Valium before you kill them is humanitarian, Not case specific but most murderers do it in cold blood and offer no sympathy for their victim's. I think that they deserve no more than they offered their victim's. I had a good friend of mine that had his throat slashed over a $20 debt that the guy didn't want to pay back, The guy then testified in front of my friend's mother that he had to sit there for 4 hours and watch him bleed to death to make sure he was dead. Try imagining laying there helpless for 4 hours, knowing you are dying, and the person who killed you is there looking at you. Then think how his mom feels knowing it wasn't fast it was slow and painful. I offer no sympathy, that murderer deserves a slow painfull death just like he gave my friend, Maybe even the same kind of death. The Bible says an Eye for an Eye and I agree. 14. I have to disagree. She had a total. She didn't handle it in time. (an aside: where is your hard deck??!!) But for someone to have that happen 2 days in a row and say that she handled it okay? There is nothing okay with having your cypres fire from a total. That means that you took too much time to handle that situation. I also watched a visiting Aff instructor (From canada) loose a student when the student had a hard pull and the student had a cypress fire. That one I blame the instructor for, Ray, again, i disagree STRONGLY. It is absolutely the students fault. You cannot blame an instructor for a student not performing his/her emergency procedures. Why not just do away with the entire instructional course if the student isn't going to be responsible for a malfunction! Oh wait, that's what tandems are for. I'm really surprised to hear you say that you blame the instructor. Why is it always someone else's fault....Quote That is where I strongly disagree with you, The one job an AFF instructor has, is to make sure his student deploys, that is why they pull so high, to give him (The instructor) time if something goes wrong. If not why do we have instructors anyway? Any Aff instructor will back this up, When you see your student attempting to pull, you wait until they have line stretch before tracking off, not bailing as soon as you see him reach for his handle. If I remember your instructor is supposed to pull for you, if you dont do it in time, if they didnt there would be a hell of a lot more reserve ride's. Yes the student messed up, but he is a student with 4 jumps. The blame goes to the instructor. Unless something goes seriously wrong, you should NEVER leave your student. Why is it always someone elses fault? Its his JOB. That is why we have instructors after all. That aside, a pilot shute in tow can easily lead to a cypress fire, specially with 4way team's. I have witnessed numerous teams, having a good jump stick it out the few extra seconds to get the last point. Then break off and deploy, lets say 2000ft. (Hard Deck), if you get a pilot chute in tow, (I rode a pc in tow 700+ ft tryig to fix it, which I did). But at 2000 ft that isnt the best thing to do. Ok so now you realise go for silver, but what first? Do you cut away, just in case you pc inflates and opens your main? leave it and just pull your reserve? which can lead to a 2 out at 700ft? Or even worse a simutanious opening causing an entanglement? Just trying to show that there is a lot of variable's to a cypress fire. Some people should take up golf but anyone is capable of making a mistake. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

MREs. what a crock, their in PRISON, After hurricane andrew, I ate a shitload of MREs, it was all the food available at the time. And they aren't that bad, the spagetti is the bomb, and I would buy the freeze dried fruit now if I could find it (Its cool to eat dry and then it liquifies in your mouth). There is a warden in Arizona that has the right idea, he has a Tent prison, screw wasting money building environmentally friendly housing for those Looser's. That is beside the point, the snipers are guilty no argument, kill em now and quit wasting tax payer money coddling the soon to be deseased. I think they should let the families pull the switch (OH yeah that is another thing Fry em, screw the HUMANITARIAN gas chamber or lethal injection). Doping a murderer up on Valium and killing him is no punishment it should be slow and painfull, That is a Deterrent. How many people would kill someone if they thought that they would die a horrible painfull death if they got caught. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Make the motherfucker's have meat, I mean put them in with the Male rapist's. That will be a start, Death by bulla bulla. If they dont want to eat the loaf force feed them, or let their sorry ass's starve. Or yet let the families of their victim's cook them dinner every night, of course whatever the families feel like cooking. Shit pie, ect. Worse thing is they can take a human's life and wont eat meat because it used to live, what kind of shit is that. I heard they were muslim I would make them take baths in Pig blood and only feed them pork until they ate it or starved to death. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

  18. Im sorry to admit I know that song. Cool thing about Poison in concert was the band attracted a LOT of HOT women. Good enough reason to see them live 14 times. Of course it wasnt for the band. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
  19. Um Ron thats Frost 0 14.9 never happened according to USPA. I have seen a girl from a Deland 4way team have a cypress fire once. She didnt miss the next load. She was extremely shaken up and it taught her a good lesson, as a matter of fact she had the same problem the next day (Total due to mis-routed pull out) and handled it perfectly. With what happened she actually just got beat by her cypress, so even if she didnt have one she would have been fine. I also watched a visiting Aff instructor (From canada) loose a student when the student had a hard pull and the student had a cypress fire. That one I blame the instructor for, but should the student quit? I dont think so. There is many circumstances to a cypress fire. I dont think you should quit over it, but you should definitely take a while and think about what happened, learn from it. I also know a guy that pulls low routinely, (I dont like it) but I watch him from above routinely, if he had a mal I'm sure he would be buying a new cutter, does that count? 24. Bastard, did you win the NSl micron challenge? I love the micron, Ive jumped almost every good rig out there, and I havn't found one better. Easy to pack (few tricks to it, like every rig) Bulletproof as far as tabs, bridal ect. And very comfortable. And at that price you wont find any other rig that compares. Jump on it dont wait. 25. There is a certain Tandem manufacturer, that is "Reputed" to have built a special harness that hooks the student up facing the instructor. Almost worth getting your tandem rating! Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
