    He's a modern day PT Barnum. It's amazing how many people come away from his films believing things that are complete lies. I won a $100 wager on one of the "facts" presented in Farenheit 911. The issues he raises are valid topics, deserving of public discussion. However, it seems his schtick is taking it over the top, which is arguable counter-productive.

It hardly makes it an accepable situation. Nearly half the population has below average intelligence. Twenty five percent of the population has an IQ below 90. In other words - Nawt too brite. It is what it is. Really? What specifically are you questioning? I wouldn't want you to come back, five pages down the line, accusing me of missing something that was obvious to everyone else.

    But you're okay with people being railroaded by prosectors, with faked evidence or confessions obtained by torture? I'm basing this on your lack of criticism of Mike Nifong. Then again, your outrage could be based on secondary matters, like skin color and/or political affiliation.

    All Propaganda (w/ a big P - the bad stuff) is based on truths. But it's the twists and distortions that give propaganda it's real power. Giving a distorted representation is his part and parcel. When you preaching to the choir, it's easy to get away with. I knew some Brits who thought he walked the moon, while he was bad mouthing the US. Then he went on tour in Europe and started offering his critique of local matters. Those Brits quickly saw how he twisted the facts. I believe his intention is to tap into people's hot buttons, that really crank up their emotions... and exploit them. That would explain why he pockets so little of his films profits.

    On this forum I seen very few attacks on Atheists. On the flip side, there seems to be regular attacks on Christians. What can we conclude? Maybe it's that ignorance is not characteristic on any one ideology. Lower tier non-intellectuals exist across the board.

And then there's those that got off on a technicality, like Ollie and Poindexter. It's the old - Well, Johnny did it" defense. LOL Most learn that tactic just doesn't cut it by age twelve.     You brought up droughts. Bill's original post referred to "dust bowl". Bill then clarified EXACTLY what he meant in this post, which everyone except you managed to understand. You mean the post in which he said if proper soil management had been used, that "would have made the drought (which happens periodically) a non-event"? Tell me perfesser - if a student answers a question 1/2 right and 1/2 wrong does he get full credit? Or do you deduct (and note) the part that is wrong? Oh yeah, he brought up the Dust Bowl in response to controlling the climate, "which everyone except you managed to understand" Note to Billvon - that last phrase is intended as a return volley of Kallend's own words... not as a PA.
