  1. Specific examples please? Well, the Supreme Court ruled several of his actions unconstitutional with respect to military tribunals, and also the initial imprisonment of Padilla. Then there's warrantless wiretapping. That's trivial stuff done by Republicans. You don't expect righties to hold their guys to the same standards as they hold Democrats to, do you? They don't have the moral foundation to comprehend the issues. As long as its a righty doing it, anything goes, constitutional or not. It is a "quaint" document, after all. If a Democrat gets a blow job from a consenting adult, thats a big deal. When a Democrat is President and starts to use the powers that ShrubCo has claimed for the Presidency, watch the righties flip out. It would be funny if it weren't so sick and twisted. Conservatives have been against every progressive change that has taken place in the USA. If the conservatives had had their way, blacks would still be segregated, inter-racial marriage would still be illegal, women would not have the right to vote, and Chinese people would still be prevented from becoming naturalized citizens. All of these positions are well established positions that those that considered themselves "conservatives" supported to the bitter end. I am not talking Democrat/Republican. I am talking conservative/progressive. Big difference. History keeps proving the conservatives to consistently be wrong, in the long term. PRICELESS
  2. I'm guessing she was probably too drunk to put up much of a fight, but still able to protest. The point of my post was just to include a "minor" detail you excluded.
  3. Fixed it for you. I find it interesting that no one is talking about the muzzle being placed on the accuser.
  4. Neither was Janet Reno. So I guess you're OK with that, too, right? Wendy W. Now you're talking about politics. Most of people screaming Gonzalez's ouster seem intent on trying to make this about something much more serious than partisanship.
  5. Specific examples please? You've got to be fucking kidding me. Oh that's right, you're not kidding. Why would someone give you a list of examples when all you do is post a completely incoherent non-sequitur response, littered with a parroted "Bush hater" or "liberal," term, ending with "thanks for proving my point!" It's the equivalent of a five-year-old closing his ears and saying "lalalalalalala I can't hear you!!" Nice dodge.
  6. Nice benchmark to hit there bubba... Why thank you, Rosie. Take it up with Kallend. My question was a response to his post.
  7. We all have our own unique perception of the world.
  8. Has he even been accused of doing anything illegal?
  9. Are you really full of that much hate, or are you just disgustingly coarse? I can understand someone hating an individual who uses phony reasons to invade another nation, wasting thousands of lives and $(hundreds of billions). If there are valid reasons for hate, that seems a pretty good candidate. It wasn't about Bush. It was about any and everyone who leans to the right of Amazon? Maybe it wasn't about everyone who leans to the right of her, but based on here post history, she seems to consistently opine these kinds of crass, hateful stereotypes.
  10. I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps Billvon should do that, too.
  11. No, it was cooler. See attached. Wait a sec. Previously you posted a story claiming: Your graph seems to indicate current temps are well above any period in the 1800s. So, which is it? Also, I noticed to didn't say anything about my link showing that 2005 temps did not surpass 1998 levels. Hmm. Often we just plain don't know. When you go back 2 million years, it's hard to say exactly what happened when. How about going back 1/16th of that??? Again... generalities. None of this explains why/how temps could fall for 800 years, while CO2 levels continued to rise. Wasn't it yesterday you made a bullshit crack about me being evasive most of the time? How ironic. On the upside, you did fully address one of my questions.
  12. http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/07/12/bush.leak.ap/index.html So, what he's saying is . . . he knew all along and this whole thing could have been avoided if they just would have owned up to it to begin with? And now, we should just forget about an act of TREASON and just move on? WTF?!? He should fire Scooter Libby!!!
  13. Do you have a source explaining what specifically caused temps to drop during that 30+ year period. You mean it was warmer before we started pumping loads of manmade CO2 into the air? Here's another link, stating 2005 did not surpass 1998. http://news.mongabay.com/2005/1216-weather.html Nice scientific explanation. I'm not really interested in generalities. Saying "well, there are other factors" doesn't really explain why a specific phenomenon occurred.
  14. If rising CO2 levels have a direct effect on global temperatures, why did we experience a cooling trend from the early 40s through the late 70s, while CO2 levels constantly rose? Considering CO2 levels are continuing to rise, why have global temps remained at the same levels since 2001? Why have not not exceeded the 1998 high? Looking at the temperature peaks in the long term record, why did they drop, while CO2 levels continued to rise for 800 years?
  15. LOL Bill - you do the exact same thing. You're pretty comfortable throwing out the denier label. Or making claims that "the science has been settled", but when pressed you bring up the science about Global Warming, not ANTHROPOGENIC Global Warming.... or when someone questions AGW you try to make it about overal Global Warming. Yeah, you can try acting like Rush is all political and that your behavior is above board, but your post history tells a different story.
  16. Do you consider quoting previous posts count as making comments?
  17. He didn't actually write that. His answer was evasive. It's all relative.
  18. Some theories are more believable than others.
  19. Or the theories surrounding JFK's assassination.
  20. Congress has no control over members of the Executive after they are confirmed..... ESPECIALLY when they will not even be sworn in for testimony.... And use EXECUTIVE PRIVELEDGE.... You mean Congress can't force Cabinet members out of office? How come the "No confidence resolution" failed to move forward?
  21. Pajarito doesn't spend any time answering peoples questions. He runs to WOTM or AiG and C&P's their answers. And I'm sorry, but yes he does condemn people, saying that we will all burn in hell because we are evil is something that is generally considered to be rather rude. It's certainly no better than me articulating my belief that his beliefs are stupid. Oh look. Jakee displaying a "little" religious intolerance. DDSS
  22. Looks like you've found a new favorite word. What'd you do? Look in the mirror and have an epiphany?
  23. There is also data that shows as temperature increases, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere increases. What came 1st, the chicken or the egg? For some, correlation does prove causation. The key is You gotta believe!!! Do you believe?
