It's 1:30 in the morning, I'm mostly drunk I think. It sure feels good anyway. I can only imagine where this thread might go. Flame away... or not. The little lady just came down, she wants some attention. hmmmm I guess this is just off topic and useless enough that it should stay out of the Obama bashing speakers corner for now anyway. Laters. I disagree. How is it I'm more qualified than a complete white person simply because of where my mother happens to come from? It's racism in it's purist form and I for one do not agree with any form of racism whether it benefits me or not. But hey it's "PC racism" so it is OK in our country.

Here is a GREAT starting place to read. Lots of great info in this article. Enjoy!

I too was playing back and forth between an XS and XSi. In the end, I got the XS and put the moneys saved toward another lens and to get better SD cards than I already had as well as two more battery packs for it. I've had it for two weeks and have already taken over a thousand pictures just playing with it. Took it out on one jump. Got maybe 20 pictures that I thought were worth keeping out of over 400. Since getting the camera I've made two additional purchases. 1. I paid $15 to this web site and got 5 online classes that have been GREAT for me. I'm learning so much I just can't even begin to describe how much it's doing for me as a true beginner. I am determined to learn as much as I can about this new tool and how to use it in both this media and for other things as wll. 2. To that end I also purchased this book based on recommendations found in here on this site. Goes with my camera in the bag everywhere that we go. Great book for learning one's way around the controls and how to use them. There is a field guide for the XSi as well. Well worth looking at if you are like me and just getting started. Sorry for the rambling, just thought I would share a little. Take care, BK

So which one did you get?

The screws are on the inside of the helmet coming back up through the base with washers under the heads. I assume that is what you meant?

Thanks, kind of what I figured too.

And that's what makes Bill so special. LOL, you're kill'n me.

Hey Guys, I was wondering if 3 here is enough or if I should add a 4th mount point? See picture. These are 1/4" x 20's cut down so they are flush, I drilled and tapped the mount and have red thread lock to keep it all together. Just wondering if a 4th screw is needed or not. I left it out so as to not get in the way of the release action. Thanks in advance, BK

There was/is a company that is coming close, at least per their website with a suit close to that size.

Hey guys/gals, was sitting in a store a little while ago waiting on something and happened to pick up a Shutter Bug magazine and very much enjoyed poking through it. So it got me to wondering what (if anything) you other guys/gals; that really enjoy this side of the sport, read? I'm fairly new to this side and wanting to learn as much as I can. I know that magazines like shutter bug won't help with the skydiving side, but some of the other general picture taking stuff looked very helpful. To me anyway. Thanks, BK PS. Before somebody says something about the search function, it's broken right now.

There was a site that I saw that info I forget where though. The XT was rated for about 50,000 the XTI was rated for about 75,000 IIRC. Of course, we all know, that is a GUESS. the camera doesnt turn into a pumkpin on the 75,000th shot. So when a shutter does go, can one send it back to the manufacturer to have it replaced or is the camera done and it's time to move on?
-
Good post Scott, I've been sitting here wondering what type of suit it was. It would be nice to know as factors like you've raised come into play.
-
Or not. That is just to small by about 2 inches and the next size up is well... way to large. Grrrr

I wish more of these places would put measurements on their foam pieces. My case is not a pelican, but it is about the size of their 15xx series. I may order some of the replacement for that one and see what I get...
-
Yes, that's what I have been doing...
-
Hey guys, I have an old case that I used to use when I was on the road some years back. The hard foam in it was/is cut for tools that I no longer have/use. Now I'm wanting to re-purpose the case to use it for storing my camera equipment in. Video and Still/Lens's. I've been all over the internet, eBay, etc. I have some ideas, but thought I'd see what you guys do when you need to replace the foam or change it up in your cases. Right now I'm leaning toward a local arts and craft's store that sells foam sheet. The density is not quite as dense as I'd like, but I think it will work ok. Before I spend the $$ though I thought I'd see what you guys are using? Thanks, BK

How many jumps did u have when u did your first wingsuit jump?
Bill_K replied to mrbiceps's topic in Wing Suit Flying
whats up your ass buddy, i am asking a simple question, so fcuk off out of my thread if u havn't got something constructive to say. I am after some feedback from people with regards to their first flight and how experienced they were and how it went. I wanted it pretty bad, so I worked my butt off and got to 200 before Scott Gray came to our DZ and did our first jump course. I am glad that I waited, and sometimes think that I'd have been good to wait even longer. Being on the other side now, I very much enjoy it, but I won't and don't recommend jumping the gun. The sky will always be there, take your time, jump lots, learn to land well, etc, etc. Then do it. It's worth waiting. -

Here here I'll save you some trouble. -
Hehe, funny, I was thinking the same thing.

I just want some WS coaching and good flocks. That I can hopefully stay with and not always be falling out of. That's all I want for X-mas... is it so much to ask?

This thread is getting cool. We need to have a thread for WS rodeo pic's. They have picture threads in all the other forums, we can too... keep'm coming!
