  1. I think this is a HC96, not 100% sure. But I think it's too wide...... The pc series were much thinner = safer. ciel bleu, Saskia
  2. Did you do a search? I think the HC96 is too wide for sidemounting. I know 2 guys who do but I think it is not smart. ciel bleu, Saskia
  3. Well there are a few for sure in The Netherlands
  4. Be glad you don't live in Europe. Plenty of countries here where such a natural as you would be held back, like in my country, it's 400 jumps minimum for a Stiletto and 700 for a Crossfire ciel bleu, Saskia
  5. Inside the formation vs outside the formation. Ie you participating in a 2way sitfly or bellyfly with a friend = inside video You filming your friend's 2-way = outside video BTW You cannot zoom most .3's very far and some cannot be zoomed at all. ciel bleu, Saskia
  6. .3 for inside video, .45 for outside. ciel bleu, Saskia
  7. Come to think of it, I sold my spectre 135 to one of our camera guys, a fairly heavy guy. He had weird/hard openings with it every 3 jumps or so. I was like "WHAT? With MY Spectre????" Yeah with my spectre, saw a few of those openings on video, pretty weird (snivel snivel left-right-BAM - type openings)..... it does need a reline pretty bad though and he loads it pretty heavy so I'm attributing the weird openings to that! ciel bleu, Saskia
  8. For a sidemount, AFAIK none at the moment, you'd have to look 2nd hand. Please read a few threads here about which camera to buy. ciel bleu, Saskia
  9. I had a hybrid 120 that packed like a 150 ciel bleu, Saskia
  10. 12yrs+3 months, used or not. A 10yr old cyprs will be somewhat expensive to get jumpable for it's final 2 yrs Cypres 1 rigs take a cypres 2 just fine. ciel bleu, Saskia
  11. For some reason different brand lenses do not match up, so a .45 HAMA is not the exact same angle as a .45 Kenko. I had a Sony .6 that was as wide as my hama .45! Then the viewing angle also depends on which video camera you use and if you use a step-up ring. .3 is really for inside video. Some will let you zoom in a bit but not all (my brandless one piece lens gets blurry when zooming). ciel bleu, Saskia
  12. Like Phree says, read a photography book. In the meantime, set the camera to tv, shutterspeed to 1/400 and let the camera make up the aperture. You want to end up with an aperture of +- f/8 but not too slow a shutterspeed (1/320 for sunset loads, 1/500 for sunny days). After you read the book you will know why and can make ajustments (or jump different settings). ciel bleu, Saskia
  13. I used to fly a spectre 135 at 1.15-1.2. Had a few linetwists when starting wingsuit jumping but the spectre always behaved, I rarely had to kick/twist to get out of the linetwists even with linetwists from top to bottom, as the canopy would unwind itself while I was unzipping my wings
  14. I actually prefer a few freefly jumps. The jumpnumbers are a guide, I need to have faith in your ability to be stress-free in difficult situations, like a spinning main or a spinning YOU. And I need you to be 'aware' in the air, where are you, where are you going, where is the rest, where is jumprun, etc etc. These things are easier with higher jumpnumbers but depend on the jumper's personality too. You have to REALLY convince me to take you with less than 200 jumps, so far I haven't. So no, 125/80 is not better than 200/30. ciel bleu, Saskia
  15. On all the rigs I've had, I've had 2 hookknifes: one on left mudflap, one on right leg strap. Better safe than sorry, if I really need a knife I want to be able to reach one and should I drop one....... ciel bleu, Saskia
  16. I don't -quite- believe that, because that is without VAT. AFAIK you always need to pay VAT here, unless a business then you can get it back later. Don't know the percentage in Italy (at least I THINK the company is Italian?) but here it is 19%. It seems really really cheap to me ciel bleu, Saskia
  17. My fav: spectre or pilot or triathlon. Also ok: hybrid triathlon, sabre 1/2, safire 1/2. ciel bleu, Saskia
  18. Did our first few tunnelminutes ever here today. This is FUN! ciel bleu, Saskia
  19. AFAIK the camera boxes are great. IMO his camerahelmets need some work here and there to be really great but I like mine. Boxes for video camera's are EUR 155 (~USD 192), not sure if still camera boxes are the same they're not listed but I know he makes them too. ciel bleu, Saskia
  20. Do a search on this forum. Anything harddrive-based will die if you jump it a few times. ciel bleu, Saskia
  21. Best openings? Spectre/Pilot. Hands down. ciel bleu, Saskia
  22. Like this? http://www.theworldteam.com/news06/images/0211/SaskiaZegwaard6.jpg (Sorry, kinda dark pic). I know one guy here in the Netherlands that makes boxes for every camera... http://www.speedylee.net/pages/camerahuizenpag.html ciel bleu, Saskia
  23. Do you mean that in France, if a manufacturer doesn't explicitly say it is authorized, it is not? Here in the Netherlands, it's the other way round: if not explicitly not-authorized, it is. (Eh, does that make sense? ). ciel bleu, Saskia
