I might be totally wrong with my limited WS experience, but might it actually be possible to feel this vortex? Made two flights recently were I tried to really push it and were I suddenly felt the fabric on the back of my arms flutter. Might this have been the vortex you talk about? You probably stalled the suit. ciel bleu, Saskia

Maybe this'll work, no clue how you take shots with it. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2618014;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread ciel bleu, Saskia

I do with wingsuits, but on my FS suit (which I very rarely wear) the booties are way too tight to remove so I have to land with 'em. ciel bleu, Saskia

Besides your guess being wrong, not all rsl's are on the right side, some are on the left and some are on both. Not all camera's are on the left side, some are on the right side, some are on top and some guys just jump way too many stuff so it sticks out at both sides ciel bleu, Saskia

My vote would be yes, except when jumping camera etc. ciel bleu, Saskia

Anyone try one of these? http://www.goprocamera.com/ Small enough for mounting in interesting places, and the demo footage doesn't look too bad. Although I can't seem to find out how to shoot pics with it ciel bleu, Saskia

Yes please

Ehm, why? And, HOW? Did you research that? ciel bleu, Saskia

No clue how much for just the insurance. We pay EUR 110 or thereabouts (haven't had the bill yet for 2007) for membership KNVvL, FAI license and insurance. ciel bleu, Saskia -

What exactly are you insuring? In The Netherlands, we are required to have medical insurance, and the KNVvL's insurance only pays out damages done to others when your own insurance company will not pay so it's a secundary insurance. Our insurance is good for € 901.713 (??) but € 1.500.000 in Germany, per case. You have to pay € 113 yourself per case. Insurance is good in most of europe plus USA, Australia, Canada. ciel bleu, Saskia -
You're right. Must've spent too much time behind my computer today ciel bleu, Saskia

Of course a horseshoe is still possible by it wrapping around an appendage. What gear that is now commonly used would prevent that? None that I know of (well for freefall mains anyway, the reserve freebag does help), which is why I was puzzled that a pullout would help. I already dismissed the premature deployment because that's why most people get pull outs, so I was just thinking of the other kind of horseshoe... ciel bleu, Saskia

Look up "flat turns" ciel bleu, Saskia

Your closing loop looks way too long to me? Could be why the grommets do not line up and why the pin is sticking out. Disclaimer: not a rigger and haven't seen a Wings in my life ciel bleu, Saskia
-
Ok but you can still get a horseshoe, by wrapping the bridle around your arm/leg for instance. A PCIT with a pullout is possible (we had it happen on our DZ a year ago), with all possible resulting troubles that brings. ciel bleu, Saskia

Well in march not all dz's will be up and running yet, and some are weekends-only. Teuge is 1hr from Amsterdam, weekend tandems are EUR 199. ciel bleu, Saskia

way old thread..... Anyway why would jumping a pull-out prevent a 2-out?!? and I don't see how it prevents horse-shoes either, besides those that may be caused by a premature deployment? ciel bleu, Saskia

82 jumps, not a vidiot yet, but ready to strap one on? Well that's a good excuse ciel bleu, Saskia

What'd you go and buy a panasonic for? Any vidiot knows, only sony! ciel bleu, Saskia

If only to keep a heading: "Whaddaya mean I flew 360?????" ciel bleu, Saskia

He is absolutely right, low jump number or not. So if HE knows that at 32 jumps, YOU are seriously lacking HIS knowledge even though you have TWICE the jump numbers. If jump numbers mean that much to you I'd be really ashamed right now BTW posting PM's (on any forum) is just not done, so another strike against your knowledge. ciel bleu, Saskia
