Why would you let go of the brakes. Why would letting go of the brakes even help in pulling (unless of course your brakelines are too short - fix that). No reason to ever let go of your brakes, unless doing crw or cutting away your main ciel bleu, Saskia

Use Firefox, get the VideoDownloader plugin, download vid using icon on statusbar, rename downloaded file to .flv, view in flv player (download link is given by the plugin). ciel bleu, Saskia

AFAIK you will not be able to do that particular B requirement anyway, don't know who came up with the 3x360 left and 3x360 right requirement (in succession!!).... I can do it on my Diablo now, I think, but with a big canopy, only if the 360's are around Twello Very probably your brake lines are too short. Is it your own gear? Or rental from Case? Anyway, just come to Teuge, you can always play poker ciel bleu, Saskia

I bought mine at 50 jumps, over here 30-80 jumps is where people buy their stuff, but we have a lot of gear at the store to downsize/demo. Wait untill you are sure what you want, which canopies, which sizes. Generally people buy 2nd hand first because you'll probably downsize fairly quickly and also you would not like to get your shiny gear dirty because you can't land on your feet 100% of the time yet. Best to buy other things first, like alti, helmet, suit. Check out the other beginer gear threads, there are links there to some very useful articles you would be smart to read (I'm too lazy to look 'm up now ). ciel bleu, Saskia

That stuff is called tack cord. I always have a roll handy

SpeedFlying Pro Competitions. Europe.

Sounds like fun. But man, that has got to be one of the most annoying websites I've ever visited ciel bleu, Saskia -
I only see a problem with the flash cover, I'm going to cut that off as it is only going to flap around. I don't see any other problems but haven't jumped mine yet. ciel bleu, Saskia

I've had PD canopies forever, Spectre/Lightning/Vengeance. Now I just got a Diablo and we haven't made friends yet If I could buy any canopy right now it'd be a small Pilot. ciel bleu, Saskia

I think the Case still has one for sale in the 2nd hand drawer. ciel bleu, Saskia

Fonz, why don't you bring that alti over and ask the CRW guru's at Teuge next time you're here for poker ciel bleu, Saskia

If your good, mount it forward. If you suck, backwards........... I was thinking about mounting my pc106 sideways on my front mount ciel bleu, Saskia

I got the armor for both my D70s and my D80. 50 USD each though. Amazon DE sells it but didn't have it for all camera's and Amazon UK didnt carray it at all so we ordered from B&H (Amazon USA won't send stuff like that to europe). The D200 armor is back ordered though. Haven't used the armor for skydiving yet because of the $%^&* weather here (storms!) ciel bleu, Saskia

Since you have never done this, your reply is useless to me. All the points that you make I already know. If you notice this forum is full of know-it-alls (both for real, and some who are just on a power trip). I know it's unsafe. I know it should not work. Yet please re-read my questions. Nowhere did I say that I am GOING to do it. Get off the high horse damnit ! P.S. To illustrate my point - My container has the largest manufacturer approved reserve in it, yet you still advise me on something I did not ask for advice on. I have had 2 containers with too big reserves, just not your specific combo. Hopefully no-one has your specific combo. ciel bleu, Saskia

How would you make a Panasonic DV fly safe?
dragon2 replied to Kynan1's topic in Photography and Video
Sigh. ciel bleu, Saskia -
Buy a container which can hold your main and reserve sizes comfortable. Stuffing a way too big reserve into a too small rig is not safe, it may very well hesitate when coming out. Also it is very uncomfortable on your back. I very much doubt you'd get a rigger to pack a PD143 into a TJN anyway so the discussion is moot. ciel bleu, Saskia

Ditto. I weigh the same as you do, and only started jumping a vengeance 135 this year (at ~750 jumps). I wouldn't recommend one to someone with your jump numbers. As for packing, don't do anything special with it just pro-pack without rolling/stuffing/... anything. ciel bleu, Saskia

Well thanks a lot I guess you know better than the head of the camera team for World Team? ciel bleu, Saskia

The Netherlands: Jumpers up to B license need a medical check. TM's need a medical check. Medical is valid for 24 months. ciel bleu, Saskia

Hmmm I think wings are fairly complicated. They can not quite work right for various reasons, and they can be downright dangerous if they leave a gap where you can pull your pilotchute through which has caused various incidents and deaths over the years. I'd rather have someone do it who knows what they're doing. ciel bleu, Saskia

I saw one EXPERIENCED camera guy film the tandem walking to the door. Sans rig. ciel bleu, Saskia
