  1. ps. Would love to see pictures of your flying prototype.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  2. You talk a lot..write a lot...and make little sense... I hope the picture in your avater isnt the design direction or idea...as that suggests some severe research on your behalf into pectoral muscles birds have, which we dont have... Again...I hope to someday see your words transformed into reality...most likely eathbound realities...but thats my word against yours... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. Its funny you criticize ANYONE who doesnt agree with your ideas, yet cant accept the simple fact that others may have different ideas than yours. You critique people calling your dream a dream. Again..untill and IF its ever realised...thats all it is...you can protest that view all you want...but it wont change the fact that its only a dream. And you're clearly not interested in listening to people who do have more insight into the matter. You have a certain dream, and other have other views. Whats to be perplexed about. No amount of dreaming you will do, wil turn it into a reality, and untill it IS a reality, YOU are the one who's being very closed-minded for not allowing any other oppinions and options besides your own views. Dream all you want, but if you are not looking for honest views from other people. Why post it on a public forum? You generalize a lot...and from this statement, its quite clear you have no idea about what it actually is we do... Flying is the basis of what we do. Not what we try to avoid. Im sorry if that doesnt live up to your dreams, but it sure does to everyone who's out there activly doing it, and furthering the dicipline with practical designs that get made. You spout a lot of critique on wingsuit manufacturers and people that dont agree. NOTHING stops you from buying the materials and investing TIME to create this incredible flying idea of yours. Many have done so before you, and even current day manufacturers started as people building their own personal suit. There are many people with similar ideas like yours. But most scream about a performance thats possible, yet never go beyond that screaming. Fly your body..build something...looking forward to the results.. Hope you do....many people talk the talk...not everyone walks the walk.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. So you're suggesting we get drunk and fly wingsuits? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  5. +1 JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. ps. you mentioned I was polite at some point....for that I appologize... ps2. are you always this cranky and without humor? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. Awesome....looking forward to meeting you someday, and seeing a sense of realism and practical knowledge on the limits of the human body added to that. There is no irony or sarcasm in my posts..only a black sense of humor most people in here have, thats servely entertained by your frustrated screaming on how a FANTASY of yours (as thats what it is, untill or IF it comes true) isnt accepted as REALITY. Hopefully once you actually step into this world, you'll see we are not all evil a##holes and start to understand what it actually is we do... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. I think we all owe Giselle an appology.... Check it out! Wingsuit Gliding and Climbing! Video JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. That wouldnt have been in my prediction for 2011 had anyone asked me...but indeed...nice post.. Also see you're jumping more lately...who knows...will we see Sangi join our ranks in 2011...?? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  10. Use a free program like MPG streamclip to change the container of the files from .mov to .mp4 or vice versa (without recompression). Usually makes em work in any app after that.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. Though it may come across disrespectfull to you, thats also how your posts come across to most others. Based on a 1950's prediction of a flying car everyone will own in the year 2000, you kick down anyone who doesnt accept your fantasies on what may be. No matter how correct they turn out, they ARE fantasies at this point. And arguing about what will happen (and in the process talk to a lot of knowledgeable people with severe disrespect) is quite pointless. Fly a wingsuit! Humans are not birds, and a wingsuit is not a hangglider. Which ever direction things evolve..try being part of it in an active way. We truly get 2 or 3 similar emails (from other people) with ideas every week. And its always the same...sticks and carbon fiber arm extentions, basically telling us how to realise Leonardo DaVinci's batwings from mewer materials. Its truly not a new or original idea....(nor realistic). Do you skydive? If not..START! You're missing out on a lotof amazing flying fun... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  12. I'm up for creating a poll....! You dont see me talking a lot of 'I know it all' stuff about hanggliding because Ive never done it, and dont have a clue on how it feels, flies and works. Sounds a lot like you on wingsuit flying. Its awesome fantasies, but most of it reads like something you'd find on a forum with discussions on Twilight and theories on how we faked the moon landing. How many wingsuit jumps have you got? Most of your innovation theories turn wingsuits into hanggliders. It shows your experience in one dicipline, and lack of feeling and experience in the other... I'm trying hard not to comment on this one... Will you have flown a wingsuit by then? Again...tryyyying....resisting.....muuuust not....eehhhhh.. Nobody sais performance wont improve and new innovations wont be made. But keep it within the realm of flying ones body, and (again) dont turn the body into the center spar of a hang-glider with carbon-(f-ing)fiber. Why appologies? Both of you are talking about your ass when it comes to 'what will be in 20 years'. Only difference is, he does it with a large background in FLYING wingsuits, and seeing the design, performance and acomplishments evolve. You do it based on what you've seen on YouTube. I think your biggest flaw is the direction you see this evolve. You're thinking soaring like a boring human kite, with just the string missing . Most of us are thinking flying at high speed, with our hair on fire, ducking clouds, swooping past canopies, trees or unsuspecting sheep. I dont know...so far Ive heard several (non-manufacturer) 'great minds of wingsuit flying' mention you. And most of it was 'look at that monkey' 'who is that idiot' and 'he should talk less and fly more'. Im curious which 2 manufacturers you're in contact with. I know the one Im involved with sure aint on that list...narrows it down a lot.. Its also funny if you use the search function, you will see your 'orginal idea's' have been written down by many non-wingsuit flyers before you. All adding bits of carbon, ductape, spagethi and sauce to current designs and claiming it flies like a bat out of hell. If you make claims about 'inventions' you've done and deals you've made...make sure they are not (like most of your stuff 'seems' to be) imaginairy ones.. Funny...you're patronizing one of the aforementioned 'great minds of wingsuit' yourself. You come into a place, talk a lot of poop, and call everyone that doesnt agree with your un-informed oppinion an idiot with lack of vision. Try and stop...and think..for one second...that these people are DOING what you are FANTASIZING about.... Fly a wingsuit....you may actually like it...(and understand what its all about). Than enjoy yourself weighing the thing down with kilo's of carbon fiber shizzle and tearing your shoulders from your body by inserting a hangglider into your sleeves... The guy builds and designs wingsuits....seems pretty constructive... He flies wingsuits within 1 meter of the ground, and knows the effects winds, thermals and close proximity to the ground have on his flying... Seems like you're telling someone off who has more insight into the subject matter than you'll ever have (with your attitude and lack of actual flying and hands on design experience). Ahh....the hang-glider mod again... Muuusttt...nott.....say...the obvious...... Maybe re-read the thread and try and discover why they said it...(in this actual thread in which they posted as well..) Hellp....cant...hold...it.....in...much...longer..... Maybe try leaving and going to a twilight and conspiricy theory forum... If you want my 2 cents.. I got your back! I think its the evil wingsuit cooperations trying to stop you from releasing the ultimate wingsuit, and having everyone experience TRUE human flight. Like Jezus on the cross, but with fabric tied between his arms and legs. Its gonna be awesome! Dont let these bastards stop you like they did with that engine that runs on water, that shell owns and wont release because they want to sell oil! Stick it to the man! p.s. Mind if I link to this thread from wingsuitnews.com and label it comedy hour? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. We'd have to ask a lot of people for permissions. But Ill see if something like that is possible. But in general, ANY design is possible. Though sometimes cost may be quite a bit extra if its complex stuff that has to be sewn into the suit at various production stages. Nice big surfaces (like those 5ten logos) that can be sewn onto the suit always look best, though emrboidery of course is also a good/easy option. I expect to see pix of the Belgiam airforce appear here soon as well. They have 4 matching suits, with big logos embroided on the wings (Vigil). Looks pretty damn cool. I hope to get all 4 suits in front of my lens sometime over the coming weekends... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. I dont know what you're reading into all this, and who bullied you or what bothering you...but geez...lighten up dude.. I answered your questions, and mentioned a forum isnt the best place to get answered aimed at the manufacturer...direct contact is.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. Thats 2 statements you make on a forum about how a company works....might be wise to just mail to the manufacturer next time you have these questions. Much more productive than coming up with your own answers... But to answer some....Venom will be available for pre-order soon. And special requests (wing a bit longer, no base pouch, all pink, etc etc) are made all the time, and never a problem. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. Hard to answer this one, as my teammate does both wingsuit flying and hanggliding I say we're all nuts... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  17. For skydiving...definately not needed. On basejumps, the easier acces to the base pouch can (and has proven to be) a crucial half a second diffence that seperates close call from injury... For the big suits where this easier acces isnt available, a more conservative opening altitude that allows for a minor fumble and/or delay due to the burble is advised...(as well in skydiving as base) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. The Vampire (for skydiving) is perfectly fine for use with BOC (in fact, advice is to not use the BASE pouch in the skydive enviroment for anything but a solo). For BASE, the pouch makes the pull A LOT easier and quicker to acces, without any searching. The Venom as seen isnt 100% final, and is still being tweaked on the small details. It has 3 different systems allowing freeing up of the arms, and for skydiving there is still some tinkering going on with a new release for the legwing as well. Depending on placement, a base pouch can also be in the version of the Venom thats eventualy released. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  19. Because the different cut on the wing allows for a much easier pull on the Vampire, and in the Venom actually does the opposide and hides the BASE pouch under the wing the moment you start reaching for the pilotchute/hackey. Though not clear on the pictures shown, there are some exciting new features on this suit, providing several elegant working solutions for emergency procedures. Expect more details soon! 20. Search for Smoke Bracket or go to TunedByJlo.com (TopGun mount) or Bonehead.com (ShueVue) for one that comes with a cutaway. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

    Ghost3

The Stealth (1) is no longer available, and in size quite a big step up. For camerawork and the heavier flocker, the Ghost3 (and old Stealth) can be a great choice. If one has a normal build, this may be a tad overkill for flocking, unless you have a group that really knows how to fly. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  22. Why not go for a more centered topmount. Much less potential for snagging, or cutting your risers up with that awesome razorblade JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

    Ghost3

The old Stealth is still quite a bit bigger. The cut on the wing of the new Ghost3 is a bit different, but in terms of gereral surface area and length of armwing grippers, doesnt differ an incredible amount from the Ghost2. One of the reasons the Stealth got upgraded to the Stealth2 was that both suits where already quite close in wingsurface/size. The Stealth2 is still quite a big leap when compared to the Ghost3 in terms of wing surface. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. Just create a video with the left/right video squeezed side by side in one stream. And via YouTube you can select the different viewing modes. See this example. When you choose the 'side by side' option in 3D settings, you see how the video was uploaded... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  25. Sorry to keep everyone waiting. But a lot of R&D and testing and planning goes into making sure the product you end up flying is tested and end up being a suit you can fly for a long time. Both new suits of the V-line are closing in on their final itteration... Expect some big announcements on this subject....soon.... Flock & Dock might be a thing worth attending for those in the USA with an interest in this one.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
