And he wears lead with it to fly it in a flock... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

No doubt So...if we skip all the 'Id rather go into a gazillion difficult explanations rather than acknowledge what everyone else is talking about, and talk about the practical side of things instead of techno-mumbo jumbo that I think is incorrect' you're actually agreeing... Skipping the tech talk, the 'different oriented/directed' wake of a bigger wingsuit for sure influences those flying close. Especially during tight/docked flying, a smaller suit flown at a higher performance level feeds those around the person a lot 'cleaner' air when close. Regardless if the cause is direction, velocity, size or girth..... Shame the tech always seems to take center stage, while the practical side of things and how it applies to what we do is skimmed or even skipped.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

As well as the wings with a large/lower wingroot 'guiding/deflecting' the relative wind outward more towards where people are flying (when close). It may not all be the right language for the more tech-savy people, but for sure...its an effect thats there... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

The lazybag also has magnets. Only less as its only the line-pocket that uses them. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Looking at the current trend, I see a bigger and bigger push for 'lower skills/experience' and 'more extreme actions'. In the end, I see this type of pushing do more damage than a few individuals who are always operating on the edge. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Both seem to have the same effect (center feed of the line, no tumble of the bag). Mostly differing in packing, with (for me) the Pgasus one seemingly easiest to pack. In terms of weight, I think the LazyBag is a bit lighter, so that may be some preference as well. But the big tuctabs (again, to me) just seemed a bit too much of a hassle in packing. In simpler terms... By your calculation, a 400 way FS formation doesnt give of a much larger burble than a 2 way? We may 'incorrectly' use the term wake to describe what is actually 'turbulance/burble'. But regardless, on bigger suits, its bigger...and dressing for succes is key.... So you're saying that driving behind a wide semi truck doesnt give of a much bigger burble than driving behind a bicycle at the same speed? Its simply a much, much larger/wider object, thus larger/wider burble.....And may not be al edumecated and stuff with my 2 years of kitchen training flipping burgers at McDonalds, but its really just about size of the suit/object. Something clearly noticable when flying close range/docked formations...bigger suits are hard to impossible to approach near the hind quarters for docks, as they have a much larger effected area by the burble/wake/turbulance of whatever you want to call it. Whatever happens inside there...and how the vortexes react...no clue.. But when it comes to docking and mega close range flying....for sure...smaller suits are a lot easier to get close to for touching and stuff

Nonsense. Learn to fly closer.. Bigger boat, bigger bow wave. Play with ankle docks a bit more flying with big vs small suits to learn that even professors dont know everything yet JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

And another video showing a botched high speed dive and 360 that should serve as a video example of 'what not to do' on any serious formation event... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

The last bit of amazing footage he will ever give us.. Fly Free Mirko.. Mirko Remembered JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Unless you're someone who's short and heavy, I dont think that should ever be an issue? This whole video was filmed flying a shadow/phantom, flying with suits in all ranges, sizes and people light and heavy both on belly and back. Learning to fly a mid range suit better would improve a lot of peoples skills in big suits ten-fold. Getting a lot of experience there will for sure not hurt if (not when) upsizing (which is not always upgrading) to bigger suits. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I got a PM from a participant noting the 25 way vertical event also had some cowboy action going on that scared the sh*t out of him. With a similar high speed approach and turn through/in front of a group. YouTube (at the 0:39 mark) A camera doing some carving around a group within his/her skill level, for sure. But someone who's inside the formation, not focussing on safety, and a safe, clean and controlled approach but playing iceman instead? Try that on ANY serious FS or Freefly event, and you're grounded... Eager to hear what action the organizers took against that person. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

The Lazy bag is a bag with tuc-tabs and magnets. The Mpod is only magnets. PD also has their variations, with 2 stows at the end (which id prefer to see as one central locking stow, to illiminate the zig/zag motion of the bag on deployment). The Mpod and Lazy bag both need to have a good fit for the canopy, hence they are custom made to fit. The fit in the container is like any type of bag. The way you prefer your rig to be. In case the bag is too tight, or its not packed proper (magnets not all alligned on top of eachother) the canopy can potentialy come out prematurely. Ive had that happen once after a packer closed it who (i guess) hadnt closed it properly. Although even there it didnt matter much as the lines are in a seperate pocket, so even with the canopy coming out prematurely, you basically get an opening comparable to one with a tailpocket. The lines still cleanly coming out, with the friction of the pocket guiding them cleanly to linestretch. www.pgasus.be has more information on the MPOD and measuring instructions. Ive got about 600 jumps on the mpod without a single twist, turn or even offheading opening. Fit is important, making sure its notto tight. But nothing but praise from here. Most wingsuit flyers in this region use it with similar results. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

The coaching need also sometimes leads to coaches teaching only 5 jumps of coaching material spread over 25 jumps, to make sure they make a buck... There is only so much coaching can do, experience is the key...always JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Especially on tight flocks and docked formation, the 'bow wave' surrounding especially the area behind the armwings is much larger coming of those big suits... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

This site seems to do a better job at listing suits/details/prices than the intrudair website itself. http://wscity.ru/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=7&Itemid=74 JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Id say a good replica, costing less than the orginal JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Check any other thread on products from PF, S-Fly, TS etc etc and similar discussion on the practical size and comparison to other products/suits/models is also the biggest interest. And we are discussing those same suits, and practical application/suit size...Seems very relevant to me JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

And not everyone realizes that 'massive suit size' doesn't always equate to 'better' depending on what they actually want to do with the suit... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I do jump big suits as well. Though not often. I use the suit I need for the jump Im doing, and the suit that helps me work on my aerobatic/formation flying skills most. For long solo's and other stuff, I do use the big suits sometimes. Its a nice idea, but in practice, people will order through others, or just pick up the same suit on the 2nd hand market half a year or a year later. As some people seem to go through ever increasing suit sizes like a box of cookies to 'increase their performance'. You have a normal Ghost3, just no embroidery saying Ghost3. The logo wasnt the first priority when the design was made. Similar to a lot of early Shadows having 'Phantom2 on the armwing. That aside...Costyn also easily kept up with some flyers in 'supersuits' last weekend, while he was in a Ghost3. Showing skill and experience still beats surface area/suit size... What scares me is that there only seems to be larger and larger suits promoted. Last weekend a basejumper just made it 'back' to the DZ for some 'practice' after a year or more of not skydiving. He did a few un-intentional loops and flips onto his back flying a huge model wingsuit, promoted as 'ideal for base' shortly after exit, when going into full flight. And he had several stories of people doing unintentional dives, turns and worse in base with similar 'large surface' model wingsuits, some people only seem to promote as 'the ultimate choice for base'. Hearing the story of a well trained French basejumper pulling on his back on a basejump with another 'new innovation' in large wingsuit design...I truly hope more people learn to fly their smaller suits to the max, instead of reaching for ever increasing surface area to compensate for lack of experience/skill. These big suits are a specialty choice for a few, very experienced jumpers. Yet marketing from sales/rental services makes it look like it 'the only way forward' and a direction everyone needs to go to 'progress' in terms of flying a ws.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Forgot to add, the new suit dedign looks really nice... When will the product page be added to the FYB site? Looking forward to seeing some skilled Frenchies at the Artistic event in Gap flying the new suit! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
