We could make it to the DZ (2 km further away or so) so a few people (including freeflyers, not just birds) swooped it into the small field, in the middle of a town there. Costyn also did a cool swoop, and then decided to practice landing on his belly.. Luckely 3 cameras where there to capture it on tape.. If he pays me enough the video will never make it online though... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I think (Scary) Perry shoots skydiving footage with his HDV camera (HDV is NOT HD btw. Although everyone is calling it HD everywhere..it's 2 really different formats) Maybe Perry can post some stills somewhere online.. Together witha friend I've shot a short (non skydiving) film on HD, and we did everything with the camera, including chaotic running and shaking the camera, and I have not seen compression artifacts anywhere. I'll post some stills on my homepage tonight and will add the link here. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Already done..:) More pics (of your landing etc) at http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~fxcordia/photo/ It was after breakoff, 3500 ft is not the perfect altitude to start diving towards someone asking him to come and play JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Me 2.. Just did two beautifull sunset jumps in Belgium the past weekend.. Flying at the same speed, slighly above costyn, towards a bright red sun..seeing the visuals of ground speeding by below, with a lone wingsuit outline covering a ton of ground.....awesome stuff JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Watching the golden age of wingsuits from the ground?
mccordia replied to Viking's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Because the jump requirements are about general experience, and not set 'achievements'. A lot of people want to hear stuff like 'do 20 jumps in tracking' '5 jumps in the nude' '3 jumps pulling your pilot with your teeth' and you'll be ready for a wingsuit. But it's just a general all round experience, in all dicipline that wil help you. People with a lot of FS skills will take to wingsuit formation jumping a lot easer when it comes flying relative to people. Good trackers wil rock when it comes to freefall times. Good freeflyers wil have no problems playing in any orientation, and learn backflying etc. much faster...and CREW people wil also have a lot of stuff on 'normal' freefallers when it comes to approaching a flying formation and how to ease into their slot without flying someone else out of the sky.. There is no 'set' do x and y requirement.. You just need to be at ease when jumping, and preferably be a bit all-round, and know what to do when sh*t goes bad without going into a panic. Just enjoy skydiving.....that's all you need to do.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -
Watching the golden age of wingsuits from the ground?

That only saves you money...As we are all suckers in constantly wanting to own the latest shit.. When you get your wings, todays top of the line wil be mid-catogory wingsuits if you're lucky JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -
Show that you are 100% at ease with your male-self and take an 'all pink' one! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Watching the golden age of wingsuits from the ground?

Start packing other peoples parachute.. but the MOST important one of all!!! EAT LESS!! You'll save money, you'll lose kilo's and that WILL come in handy once you start flying! Look at all wingsuit-gods with 1000+ wingsuit jumps...they're all skinny... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -

Russia - World Wing Suit Boogie and Competition

I don't know how set in stone the dates are, but in the same week, there is the atmo - wingsuit boogie (22 june/25 june) in France (more info on www.atmonauti.com) There is a big chance a lot of EU people will opt for that one (in terms of the cheaper travel)? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -

Unknown to me, someone took the Texel video and posted it on IFilm.com last week. Several people sent me a heads-up, funniest ones being a few non jumping friends who mailed me the link, as if they'd found a cool video I hadnt seen before (quite funny to mail them back 'dude, read the credits on that video hehehe') In the short time it has been online there (a small week or so), it has attracted over 16.000 viewers, and it even took yesterdays spot #39 in the IFilm top 100 (13.000 at that point). THAT'S A WHOLE DAMN LOT OF PEOPLE WATCHING US FLOCKING http://www.ifilm.com/top100 http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2684014 JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

What is unclecharlie doing in his new avatar?
mccordia replied to The111's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Your body position sucks, what you need is some time in a wind tunnel. I think it's the lack of carbon-fibre on the suit... MORE CARBON FIBRE!!! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -
I'm going to try and get Costyn (and maybe Tristan the toothless-wonder as well?) together and see if we can score some cheep tickets to the US around that time.. Would be awesome!! But I think it's something we can only decide a short while before the actual event.. Just a little scared though, that people will find out that I'm actualy not a jumper, and I'm just animating and photoshopping my whole skydiving career together in my attic JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Anywhere between half to a third of your normal boxman fallrate. Kris. And also add that your slowest fallrate in a normal track without a wingsuit (after a few hundred wingsuit jumps) wil be equal your fallrate on your first jump with a wingsuit Or is that becoming too much of a riddle? I'm stil waiting for someone to make a wingsuit mod that allows me to wear my clogs in my wingsuit.. I also think clogs are the missing link when it comes to landing a birdman-suit...skies are too bulky...clogs are the magic answer I tell ya! Carefull or I'll throw in some 'Delfs Blauw' as well Holland rocks :) As long as its closed circuit I don't mind, but I fear it's more of a webcam kinda thing, with the whole world watching But I have no fear...I'm only a smooth operator on in the internet...in real life I'll be the guy sitting in the corner of the bar, looking at all the pretty girls! I'm usualy hidden away in corners of the dropzone, editing video and stuff...I'm not used to people talking to me and stuff JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

How about something like this: Most people make their first flights in a Prodigy (PF) Classic (Birdman) or Acces (Fly your body) Dozen or so variations are possible based on ones persons wishes, skills and availability of different models. It's always wise to discus this first with a wingsuit instructor or experienced flyer. Rent an entry level suit, and just experience the joy of flying on your first few flights, and decide what suit you'd want to use or buy for the rest of your wingsuit-career lateron('try before you buy') There's a bazzilion variations in suits, but I don't think a beginner should be drawn into the maze of 20 different suits, and which one to choose directly from the start. listing a few different choices and saying there are variations possible is enough imho...
