You need to ask this of several people who've been deaf their whole lives. Some of the answers might seem counter-intuitive to you. I've no doubt that many would say they wouldn't change anything, but keep in mind that they would be saying this within a certain context. I.E., within the context of a lifetime of deafness, Deaf Activism, deaf friend and family networks, etc. However, I bet there was some point earlier in their lives at which they wished they could hear. Do you really think they've spent their lives totally satisfied with being deaf?
-
No doubt. But do you think for a moment that anyone would wish it upon themselves?
-
"If only my parents had me engineered to be deaf. They had the chance, but passed on it. I've missed out on so much because of their selfishness." "I will never forgive them for this." Do you think anyone in the future of the human race will ever say these words or any even remotely like them?

Further proof that the world has gone barking mad.

Holy cow. I've asked dozens of people about that show. I thought I was imagining it. Never did Google it, though.

Would it be uncool to grab their reserve handle with one hand, flip the bird in their face with the other hand and scream at them to never push you again? Maybe too dangerous, but what an attention getter that would be. Bad idea. -
Try putting a donkey in with your horses. I'm told a donkey will protect young animals to the point of killing dogs and coyotes. Ask an expert first. This is just what I've heard.

That was one of the most asinine pieces of propaganda I've ever watched. What I like best was all the eyewitnesses saying "explosion." What else would they say? As if: "And then there was the sound of 150,000 pounds of concrete and steel dropping approximately 14 feet onto another 150,000 pound concrete and steel surface." Nope, I think they would say explosion.

Yes, a person does not have to earn my respect, but they can lose it. DING_DING_DING_DING.... We have a winner!!

Because we reflexively DO respect everyone.
