  1. The President has almost nothing to do with the trade deficit. Shortcomings or not, you can't blame all the worlds problems on President Bush.
  2. Suit is what you wear, as in wing suit. Suite is group of rooms rented out as one unit in a hotel. Suit rhymes with zoot. Suite sounds the same as sweet.
  3. All the time. I also dream about crashing planes.
  4. I think these guys are right. A 4 stroke is very durable and easier to ride. Another thing is that 4 strokes can be easier for hill climbing. Don't know a lot about 4-strokes because they became popular after I quit riding, but I hear they're great.
  5. Get one that's new enough to have "pointless" digital ignition. Be aware that riding dirtbikes, even casually, is probably twice as dangerous as skydiving. I rarely went out with mine and did not hurt myself in some way.

    Tatts?

    What a train wreck.
  7. ... Do you have trouble with low humidity in hotel rooms? I hate it. How do you deal with it?
  8. The ripcord is made from braided line like your suspension lines, not metal aircraft cable like most other ripcords. The bungee is fingertrapped and bartacked inside the braided line. In the unlikely event that one of the bartacks failed, the strength of the ripcord would be unaffected. Mark Right, however, not concerned about the ripcord strength. Wondering more about the detached bungee interfering with the movement of the ripcord.
  9. Magnets won't stick to aluminum.
  10. Hi Bill, Is it nerve-racking to put your work in front of thousands of critics, and nay-sayers and set back and wait for the questions? Here's my try: What if the reserve handle end of the bungee becomes detached? Will the bungee bunch up in the "housing" and bind the rip-cord? Thanks, Ken
  11. Don't matter. She's pretty either way.
  12. This is good...very good...not silly at all and it shows you are thinking and I'm sure when you say "locked" you don't really mean legs/knees locked straight. Thanks. By locked, I just mean not limp, ready to bear load.
  13. Way to go. Glad you are enjoying it. I'm also a newbie that had the same problem with the butt-slide landings. For some reason new people often raise their feet when they pull down on the toggles. This can lead to major spinal damage. The way I broke myself of the habit is that when I'm on final approach I repeat to myself several times: "Landing gear down and locked." This reminds me that my feet are my landing gear, so to speak, and they won't do any good if they are not down, together, and ready to PLF. It may be a silly way to remind myself, but I still do it.
  14. Way to go. Keep up your momentum and don't quit, no matter what.
  15. Tom, can you send me a link to your friend's PG school? Just found out that there is a person in my area that offers PG towing.
  16. Where do you live? Because your IP shows up as an easy drive from one of the nation's biggest paragliding centers. Arkansas. Where does my IP place me and where is the paragliding center you are referring to?
  17. Forgot to mention that there are no drop zones near by, and while I've always wanted to learn to paraglide, I live in the wrong part of the country for that sport, so I'd never get to do it again after vacation.
