Going there with the entire family in late July. What's the coolest stuff to do there that time of year?

I close mine the same way, but just checked the manual and found that it's really supposed to be bottom, top, right, left. Glad you brought it up.

Read it. It was good.

Request for anyone attending the PIA syposium next month

Don't want to ground launch. No place to do it around here. I want to stay aloft as long as possible by riding thermals the way paraglider pilots do. -

I think the Paraflite PARIS system HAHO rig is probably the closest we'll see to the fusion equipment I'm talking about. I e-mailed them for a price about a week ago, but got no response. I'll call them tomorrow. I bet it's a pretty spendy item. -
Man, that was strange.

While you are there, please take note of any gear that fills the gap between paragliding and skydiving. I've been told that there is a manufacturer or two that is working on such a project. -
Thanks for the guidance, everyone.

Good Morning, One of my daughters is very interested in India to the point that she would like to learn something about the language(s). What are the most prevalent languages spoken and do you know of any resources for self-study? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ken

Thanks for the information, everyone.

Is there a "Dropzone.com" of the paragliding world? I'd like to learn more about the sport.

Tandems, Hurting or helping membership?
NewGuy2005 replied to thedarkside's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
From reading the thread, it may be tandems that are keeping the decline from being worse than it is. -
Tandems, Hurting or helping membership?
NewGuy2005 replied to thedarkside's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I used to think tandems hurt, but I no longer feel that way. There is a lot more fun stuff available to do now then there ever has been, most of which have fewer barriers to entry than skydiving. In particular, I think motorcycling is our biggest competition. That's what it comes down to: competition. -
Going to be there in mid-July for a family vacation. Is there anyplace near there? I haven't found it, if there is.

Regardless, the colors are excellent.

The missile silo is called the Titan Missile Museum and it's just the other side of Tucson in a town call Suharita or Suarita or something like that. It's very cool if you're into that sort of thing.

HELL YEAH!! You should have seen me on my PD230 last weekend!! I scorched the turf with a blistering ground speed of about 5 MPH. All you sissy-boys with your little baby canopies can eat my dust!!

Who says you have to downsize? It's not a requirement. I like my big dumb floaty canopy. It lets me down easy and allows me to have more control over when I land so I can avoid traffic.
