At first my Mom was very much against it...that is until she did a jump last Thanksgiving and now she's very supportive. I'm lucky that my family and coworkers are supportive, even though I keep hearing from them, "I'll never do that!" My boyfriend took his Mom on a tandem a few weeks ago. She loved it and wants to do it again. When she told her husband, he was PISSED. He's finally calmed down a bit and ok with it now. It makes little sense to me why someone who is a cop and a veteran (who risks their own life everyday) would feel that way. http://3ringnecklace.com/

In my family, a banana is called a "ma-dot". Apparently, my sister named it that when she was just learning how to talk. We also call elephants as "elefudgents". My boyfriend calls the remote control a "moke-a-matrol." I call the computer a "puter". It's funny how families and/or couples have their own "language". http://3ringnecklace.com/

: 11: Besides the extraordinary heat (Texas is 2 inches away from the sun, I swear), I managed to get 11 jumps. 7 tandems, for my first tandem cutaway and reserve ride. I found the canopy, but not the freebag. And yes, I kept the handles. Oh and I STOOD UP the landing on the reserve. SWEET!! Oh and I got a ticket on the way home for not wearing a seat belt. Funny because I WAS wearing my seat belt, but I had it under my arm. My collarbone is hurting from a hard opening and the seat belt was rubbing against it, making it hurt even more. So I have to pay $130 for something I WASN'T EVEN DOING WRONG!!! I might as well light my money on fire because it's not like I'm using it! http://3ringnecklace.com/

Wow Granny, you're past 300 already? You waste no time, do you? : 7: 0 I did 6 tandems and one video. My boyfriend took his Mom for a tandem and she had a blast! I videoed and took stills. No jumping on Sunday because we had to take her back to the airport, which is very far away from the dropzone. http://3ringnecklace.com/

: 9: I owed beer and I actually BOUGHT it this time! Beer is for first weekend taking brand new students on tandems. I did 7 tandems and 2 videos. All out of a 182! Great weather, nice steady wind, all nice landings. I even stood one up in the pea pit! http://3ringnecklace.com/

Glad to hear that your investment in tunnel time paid off. I too did tunnel time before becoming a student and it made a huge difference (aka I didn't fail any levels). I highly recommend this as well. http://3ringnecklace.com/

NOYB : 13!: Texas weather finally cooperated! 3 Tandems, 2 fun jumps, 8 video Passed Phase I, and took Brandon on a tandem (my boyfriend, also a a tandem instructor). Only 4 more tandems with experienced jumpers and I'm "off student status"! Awesome weekend!! http://3ringnecklace.com/
