Not only that but she can act. The way she made a distinction between her stage persona and who she was off it was incredible. The chemistry between Phoenix and Witherspoon was incredible and certainly the most compelling aspect of the film...oh, and the music. I've been listening to the Folsom recordings since I saw it.

love it, mostly because people are nicer to each other, not neccessarily due to the birth of our lord and savior, jesus christ. yeah, right.

/ 0 / 0 jump number says zero....but I feel like I am in freefall almost continuously. (she has that effect on me) and in the DZ of life I would no doubt owe a ton of beer because I have never felt this way before. *tries to talk himself into not hitting POST REPLY* oops...... -

stay the course, it's worth it.

Viking, have you seen MANHUNTER? While I think SILENCE is definitely scary, I think Hannibal Lector in MANHUNTER (BRian Cox) is WAY scarier than Anthony Hopkins. There are some cheesey moments and the production values are zero....but it's pretty interesting. Check it out.

go, do it, RIGHT NOW. things happen so quickly there, you can practically see it change before your very eyes. doesn't matter what you need, what your interests are, or what you are into....it is available there, all the time. The DEFINITIVE urban experience. food, shopping, partying, history....and access to everywhere else in asia, quickly and cheaply. go east, young man!

I remember a student of mine would not let up about this movie. Threw it in one late night with zero expectations and lmao pretty much from the git. sequels usually suck, but this might work. And yes, I hope Kumar is able to "get it done". he earned it

the book was as much about his deterioration as the ghosts that haunted the hotel. Jack Nicholson played the part as a psycho from start to finish- he played an excellent scary psycho, but that's not what the book was about! Quote It always bothered King that Kubrick never really bought that he was sucked into the evil sponge of a house. He used it mostly as an exercise in point of view and horrow....but never made the connection that the HOUSE was devouring his soul. The scenes in the hallway with bllod and twins, and with Clyde in the bathroom still give me the creeps.

Not sure if that qualifes as "comfort food" or not! cold sesame noodles definitely =s comfort food. also, I think most traditional chinese food (not chinese-american) really has a rustic/comfort food quality to it. Y-U-M! The problem is that even if they have a english menu of said items, the descriptions are so uninspired. nobody would think "beef in pot" would include huge chunks of beef, tendon, turnips, tofu skin, cabbage, and mushroom, all in a rich garlicky stew like sauce. THAT is COMFORT food.

I loved it when Mathew Broderick played George Stephanopoulos on a spoof of The View on SNL. Barbara Walters: So, George, which one of us would you most like to make out with? Debbie Matenapoulos: And don't feel like you only have to choose ONE. George S: Trust me, that will not make it easier. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. rflmao............. oh yeah.....meatloaf with truffled mashed potatos.

It is to the point of Ramen noodles 10 packages for $1.00, tuna, and peanut butter and crackers to afford to keep jumping each weekend. Quote That's some BAD ramen right there.

drunk, yes. alcohol involed, no.

Totally agree......except in the case of The Remains of The Day. And it was so weird, because I only saw previews and then read the book. I can honestly say that the casting was great. Granted, I am well aware that this is more the EXCEPTION to the rule.
