good point....thanks for the reminder.

I feel bad that it happened a while ago and I didn't anything about it, ya know? I think it says something about what he gave me that, years later, it STILL hit me like a ton of bricks. Anyway, thanks Kris and Sink....it really does make me feel better he will be remembered tonight.

As some of you may know, I am coming back to the sport after a layoff. When one comes back, you never who is still jumping or, I am sorry to say, is still with us. Anyway, I was on SDmovies.com in the memorial section and was grief stricken to the bone when I came across the film for Lukas Knutsson. I had no idea he had passed and early in the day I was going through pics of my first trip to z-hills to send to a friend and came across a pic of me and Lukas Knuttson, my first instructor. Anyway, I was a 100 jump wonder from a cessna DZ and while I was amazed with being there, it was all a little overwhelming. Wanted instruction and out comes Lukas with the biggest smile from ear to ear. I knew within a few seconds that it was a perfect match. He was funny, wicked smart, and made me feel comfortable immediately. In three days my confidence and skills were on another level. This was a nothing short of a minor miracle since I came to z-hills having just survived a bad accident (no injuries, but only fluke luck saved me from going in). Anyway, he put me right back in the saddle and made me feel like that was just where I belonged. He was never without a smile, esp. in freefall and his enthusiasm was contagious to say the least. He was an exceptional person among special people and I will never ever forget what he allowed me to do and how that still contributes to how I see myself. Love and gratitude are not strong enough words for him in my book. If you remember, PLEASE raise a glass tonight in his honor....I know he is smiling, with beer in hand, and enjoying himself somewhere. ....you are missed, my friend. finally, check out the memorial film on SDmovies (it's down now, sorry I can't post a link). The naked rig dance alone is worth the download time and captures his spirit so beautifully.

Kevin Costner has done a lot of great movies - Bull Durham, Field Of Dreams, Dances With Wolves are just a few... Quote I am sorry, but ever since Kostner got some clout and started casting himself as super hero and not the EVERYMAN he should be, he has sucked in everything he has been in....NO EXCEPTIONS. He gives the most boring and uninspired performances. uh........and I hated Dances With Wolves. Does anybody wanna fill me in on how that movie won so many Oscar's going against Scorse's "Goodfellas"? Was their something in the LA water that winter, or what? *exhales* sorry, had to do that.

let us know how she takes the corners.

I'm like that too, especially in the beginning. That said, we eventually move into the alternate or dutch thingey as well. No matter what the nature of the relationship, typically if a greek asks you to head out, they pay. Growing up it was kinda fun watching my dad and uncle fight over the check. I was a serious miracle nobody got hurt or that they weren't banned from more places.

I stood outside my college dorm building for 3 minutes in shorts and a t-shirt in zero degree weather (fahrenhiet) on a dare. Now THAT was fucking cold. Quote What is it about college? I did a naked chapel run at 3:00am after I was initiated to my frat. I felt like a redeemed myself by getting kicked out 6 months later. *heavy sigh* "good times....."

Well done, her doctor!!!!!!!!!

High: turning on cell phone and having the nicest VM waiting from someone special Low: having to chisel ice of my car for a good 15 minutes to get to a job that doesn't get my motor running.

how about a free scalp massage before you shampoo?

Here's what you do. You do a post in Women Only entitled "What is wrong with you fatties?" I guarantee you won't be able to get in there any more. Thanks Krisanne, everybody at works thinks I am a raving lunatic for laughing my ass off. *exhales* I needed that.

even though I hate david Lynch and any stinking incomprehensible drivel he spews out, Naomi Watts was stellar in Mulholland.Quote agreed, performance was nothing short of astonishing. Lynch seems to run in threes for me; 1 I love, 1 I hate, and another I am indifferent about. MDrive is him at his peak.

This is my favorite song RIGHT NOW for reasons that shall remain nameless. LOVE MY WAY......by the Psychedelic Furs There's an army On the dance floor It's a fashion With a gun my love In a room Without a door A kiss is not enough In Love my way It's a new road I follow where My mind goes They'd put us On a railroad They'd dearly Make us pay For laughing In their faces And making it our way There's emptiness Behind their eyes There's dust In all their hearts They just want to Steal us all And take us all apart But not in Love my way It's a new road I follow where My mind goes So swallow All your tears my love And put on Your new face You can never win or lose If you don't Run the race

I teach film studies and am so amazed that students quote whole passages of reviews (bad ones at that) and/or never footnote. Sheesh, I went to a prison camp for grad school, we read everything and I PLEAD with them to assume I have read everything and STILL they try to pass stuff of as their own. I hate being the bad guy.
